I JUST did 150 rally towels for a grad party. My client wanted them for gifts for her guests. I had never done it, but after searching Transfer Express's blog I saw that I'd be able to do it with my fave Goof Proof. The towels turned out GREAT. I used a 100% cotton towel with a very low pile to make sure it was a flawless application. I've added rally towels to my portfolio now.
@@ericj6170 If it helps, the Port Authority Rally Towel PT38 is an awesome choice for a low pile surface for screen printed transfers. They're pretty commonly found under $1.50 each too!
What's a good towel " weight " to use in order to do this? I manufacture and wholesale women garments in LA, but Im trying to add products to our company. Kitchen towels with cool prints would be good . If I send you my artwork files, would you be able to create those sheets for me?
Great question Authentic Ginger! The answer is yes, absolutely. We've applied a variety of different transfer types on the 360 IQ on sleeves, face masks, hip packs, and more! For printing on short sleeves, you'll want to loop the top side of the sleeve over the lower platen so you don't have the seam on the underside of the print area. This is such a great question we'll even make a video about it!
Do you guys know of any blank sites for rally towels? Really interested in the goof proof heat transfers you all have. the first company that has mentioned pressing on towels which is exactly what I was looking for.
Hey Zay! They're super easy to print, and the goof proof does look awesome on the towels too. We have blank rally towels as low as $1.48 on our site (www.transferexpress.com/apparel/item?id=PT38), but if you have a SanMar account they may be even less there!
That's a fantastic question! It's hard to say, as the sizing for the logos may differ based on the actual dimensions of the towel and the aesthetic or look you're going for as well as the dimensions or your specific artwork. On the corners something in the 6-9" range would likely get you in the right spot or for the center 8-12". The most accurate results would come with measuring your towel and printing out the graphics at size to judge the design and placement before a production run.
We purchased all these towels (except the kitchen towels, those were from amazon) from the wholesale apparel section on our website: www.transferexpress.com/apparel
Hey Akhil, we screen print these transfers using plastisol inks on our proprietary release paper. No inkjet or desktop printers can match the durability or quality of real deal screen printing.

Can you do a video on socks next please.
Hi Dave, I am curious if there is a way to print transfers on sleeves with the 360 iq?

What size transfer would be best for the corner of a beach towel, what size for a center logo

how long is the 2nd "reprint" time
We just pressed it for another 4-6 seconds (the standard application for goof proof transfers).
The title is misleading. This is not screen printing.
Ok ok, you got us on a technicality, but while they may not be directly "screen printed", the end result is still plastisol ink on a towel!
