The shocks look to me like the ones off the MR4-bc special from a few years after the MX-4, they are similar to the later Bx and Bmax 4 shocks and were in use by Yokomo until the big bore shocks which were introduced on the later on the B-Max 2s and 4s. The car is beautiful.
Outstanding and spot on; The shocks installed are MR4BC Special / MR4BX threaded shocks - The shocks at the 97 Worlds were Hard anodized AE (0.89 stoke fronts and 1.32 stroke rears with RC10T 1.56 shafts)
@@RubrixRacing Good info on the worlds shocks as I didn't know about the 1.56 shaft. I would love a kit, are you considering just offering the parts for sale in the future as a kit as I have a spare MX 4 I could convert.
Damn, that car is a thing of beauty! Although I'm scared to look at how much it is.....still pretty awesome that people like Reuben are doing this sort of thing, keep it up guys!!!
I just got in some RC10 parts from them, I am really impressed with the parts! That is one impressive undertaking to even try and do that as a personal project much less for a short run production of them. I can do a lot of stuff but all of that is over my head! LOL! It is a super cool looking kit and I am sure it is even better looking in hand!
Really cool looking car going on the website now glad to see someone taking on a project like that making it possible to get a car that’s not available
The goal will be to get as many as possible out there; this will be specially true with fast-tracking materials and kit parts. There will also be the introduction of the RRP RX4 Evo which will be a flavor of the 97' Worlds chassis but with modern era modernizations and upgrades for competitive racing.
Stunning buggy definitely knocked it out of the park to produce such an rc. I just realised I wasn’t subscribed I’ve been watching your videos for weeks! 😆 I am now. 👍
I'm absolutely digging all this Yokomo history! I can't wait to email you about what I've found on Mercari, but I've been waiting for the Buyee order to show up to get a few pictures (a few mishaps, incorrect customs paperwork, package getting lost, and then detoured, it might finally show up here tomorrow!)
They are a stunning car, i got to see my mate chris ely’s last november when he started getting it set up for the Euro masters. They are simply stunning, a car i would love to own but i cant see me getting one 😭
I really appreciate your positive feedback! Perhaps as the project evolves, I can start offering more kit configuration options, and at different price points 👍
Rubin bangs out some serious cars. Looks killer Keith. The circles on the wheels are growing on me I’ve seen a few lately. Serious car. Very very impressive.
Good eye! They are MR4BC Special / MR4BX threaded shocks - The shocks at the 97 Worlds were Hard anodized AE (0.89 stoke fronts and 1.32 stroke rears with RC10T 1.56 shafts)
Wow, who to thank 1st.. Massaki and Massami have done some awe inspiring work over the years and looking at these beautiful 98 buggies it really shows, design quality and level of detail of which must have taken months to achieve. Their RC genius made RC what it is today really because they won so many classes and teams wanted to catch up. Ruben is putting out some absolutely amazing quality kits, looking at what he's done in 23 were pure RC gems. Keith thanks for the in depth intel on these amazing people who have made our hobby so amazing 👍👍👍👍
All I can say is...Wow !. Seriously that's a amazing car. That' car right up your street if I've ever seen one.
Gauranga
Happy Easter

Right!
Hard not to want one. Lol

That buggy is a beautiful work of art!
👍😊
I agree. Such a cool project
Ruben was nice enough to make my MX4 a kit to build. Really looking forward to building it.
Really cool looking car going on the website now glad to see someone taking on a project like that making it possible to get a car that’s not available
Incredible work and achievement Ruben!
Keith! You lucky man, so pleased this car was sent to you to tell us all about it 😎
Thank you so much! So glad that Keith could give me the opportunity to show the car at RC icons!
@@RubrixRacingYour very welcome! Credit where credit’s due 👍🏻
Thanks Owen. It is innovators like you and Ruben that bring great vintage inspired products to the rest of us.
Killer car! I’m proud to have one and as Keith mentioned, you have to see it in person to understand how incredible these are.
Nice work Keith!
❤ Love that you love the project and product - Your support along the way is greatly appreciated @dragonPunch_RC
Thanks Dan.
Looking forward to seeing the next flavor. Lol
What an awesome story there are a few clever people that keep this hobby going with great parts innovation
They amaze me!
Won’t be seeing too many of these bad boys around!!!

All depends on the traction it gets. You could own one if you really wanted. Lol

Sounds like an epic journey your package toook- and will be well wort the wait.
These are very nice. Ruben purchased all my original proto parts that I recently picked up.
Glad you were able to help him out Jason. I know he appreciates it.
That’s awesome
Thanks Thad
What an amazing job Ruben!
And it's always good to listen and learn about the history of some of these cars. Great video.
👍👍
Very grateful and appreciative of RC community members like you. Thank you 🫶
I would love to run one of these at the track!
That is really awesome😮😮😊

@@rcicons4915 how i wish that i can afford one

Awesome! You must have an amazing wife that supports you doing what you love!?😁

Currently building a MR4-BC X TC PRO Mash up, with those exact dampers
You got it. Great eye.
That’s pretty special 😮
when i see how much cars you get.......im fine🤣
It sounds like you're saying the design for the double x 4 was ripped off from a Japanese engineer...?
This guy doesn't know the difference between rc10 and the team Losi and he's trying to sell you a Rubik's Cube
This is bs. Google Rubik's RC and you're going to get a Rubik's Cube. This is bs
Its RUBRIX not Rubik
