Hey man can the Sony a6700 be used as main camera on macs without the need of downloading extra software ? I have a 15 MacBook Pro and seems like I’d need to download other softwares to stream. So if I upgrade my Mac can my a6700 be used as native camera ?
Thanks for this video. At 1:10, you said you can simultaneously record on the SD card. So will this video on SD card include audio as well? (if my audio source on zoom is an external microphone connected directly to the computer and not ZV-E10 II )
@@TheGeoPoliticsShow it would capture the audio from the camera as if you were just recording video. So if you have a mic plugged into the camera then the audio will come from that mic
I think it depends on how your program is setup on your computer. If you’re able to set zoom or whatever streaming program to 4k then you’ll be able to match that quality
I’ve found on my ZV-E1 that with USB-C you can get a long run time, but eventually it will drain all the way. And if you record to your card while streaming it will overheat before the battery will die. I imagine it’s the same with the ZV-E10 II since they’re basically the same camera outside of the sensor size.
Sony rep told me that new 2024 ZV-E10 Mk II is fully PD compliant and can be powered over USB-C without draining battery as long as you use an adapter that has enough power. I don’t have real world experience with this though.
2:06 thanks so much, was tired of having to select "usb streaming" every time turning the camera on
Happy to help!
Thanks for this video! And the overheating one. Super helpful!
@@Christinamychas happy to help!
zv-e1 has become properly goat'ed
Nice Video bro, watching this without a camera but hopefully i'll get one sooner
I appreciate it! Keep saving. You’ll get there!
Is heat a concern when it relates to the camera turning off due to overheating on the ZVE-1?
Yes, the temperature of your environment plays a big role in whether your camera overheats or not when you record over longer periods of time.
Can you get 4k 60/120 with additional effort? Like a capture card I mean.
Awesome video! Just wondering have you had any overheat issues when using ZV-E1 as webcam for Zoom conference? Thank you!

Hy Zac; does the Zv1 have 4k output as a webcam? Thank you, great content man!
@@gusyurgel I’ve never used the ZV1 so I can’t say for sure
You didn't use the Zv Ev10 ll. The menu is different. I'm looking for help with that.

Hi does the SONY ZV-E10 take a hit in quality when you use it as a webcam? Or is the same quality as if recording to a SD card?
I think it depends on how your program is setup on your computer. If you’re able to set zoom or whatever streaming program to 4k then you’ll be able to match that quality
Can you do this with ZV-E10 mk1?
@@bokharys I believe you can stream over usb, but it will not be in 4K and I know that the menu is a bit different
Thanks!

thanks bro
Any time 👍
Do you need a dummy battery to use the ZV-E10 II as a webcam, or does it charge quickly enough via USB-C?
