Ten Years After was a great band 😍❤️❤️❤️..!
The song by Alvin Lee is the bluest blues. That is my favorite song by him.
I was lucky to see him live 3 times, just a brilliant guitar player.
Saw Ten Years After in the early 70's. Great concert. Alvin's guitar work was crazy good. I'm Going Home is a recommended song.
Saw them 1970. Jackson Michigan
Great reaction, ladies! During his time in Ten Tears After, Alvin was known as one of the fastest guitarists in rock. The Bluest Blue is a fantastic song by him.
Alvin had the reputation as the fastest guitar player. He was singer and guitarist in the blues band Ten Years After back in the 60s into the 70s. I recommend the superb footage from that band at the legendary Woodstock festival playing their regular closet Goin Home. Amazing stuff.
Hi Alvin Lee and his band ten years after are reckoned by many to have played the best set at Woodstock, I agree. Bye.
The best guitarist ever
The fastest fingers at Woodstock.
I think the fastest fingers in the business.
I would like to suggest 'I'd love to change the world'by ten years after
Alvin Lee, criminally underestimated. Check out his former band Ten Years After. EARGASM. Greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪 ❤
Kathy and Donna, the late great Alvin Lee was a British musician from the band ten years after
Hi ladies. Jere here. What a surprise to see you do an Alvin Lee reaction. He is one of my favorite guitarist. He was the lead guitar for Ten Years After and also did several solo gigs. Known for playing superb blues rock guitar, but could petty much play anything. Thanks for the reaction. Tell Lulu that I missed her. 😊👍🎶⚘️❤️
Thanks
Unfortunaly, I forgot to mentiom that he passed away in 2013.
@KathyLuluandDonna
Also tell LuLu if she likes hair and shinning outfits try Uriah Heep Song Stealing from the Midnight Special live
I have really really liked Alvin Lee songs and live performances since the early 70's. An amazing guitarist and entertainer. He's always had facial expressions.....kept me glued to him every time. He was an original no doubt. Some of his 70's hits were "I'm Going Home" from Woodstock, "I'd Love To Change The World" . Some personal info. Alvin Lee (born Graham Anthony Barnes; 19 December 1944 - 6 March 2013) was an English guitarist, singer and songwriter, who was best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the blues rock band Ten Years After.
Alvin Lee used to play with Ten years after, started playing guitar when he was 13yrs old. you should check out Ten years after.
Alvin Lee was vocalizing into the mic (No words great catch Kathy) and I have seen that before with others. He was at Woodstock and is one of the videos people like to go to. ...Woodstock Ten Years After I'm Going Home Live...
You have to listen to "I'd Love To Change The World" when he was with Ten Years After. A 70s rock all time great.
Hey guys. That Alvin Lee song where he was voicing while playing is a form of scat George Benson was also very good at that.he would be a good listen to if you like jazz.,.
Another Woodstock video for you is the Ten Years After song I'm Going Home. You'll love it!!
“Honey Hush” by Foghat, Dave Peverett vocalizes along with the guitar notes as well.
Both Johnny Winter and his brother Edgar Winter they will do the notes with their voice at the same time they're playing their instrument😊😊
I have a unique request for Alvin Lee A song Called "On The Road to Freedom" from the 70's after he left Ten Years After!
I think it’s more like some musicians do it to keep a hold of the lyrics and the beat. Drummers do it a lot.. But I’m just a lover of music and not a musician..!😍❤️
Does it all the time sings the notes seen them twice Germany when in the Army 1972
I was just going on RUclips to get you the link for this one when I see your post. It saves me a lot of time fighting with my cranky computer. Alvin Lee is the heart and soul of the group Ten Years After and I know you have had to have heard parts of... I'd Love to Change the World - Alvin Lee & Ten Years After. ... It has been used as the back drop of the era and I have recently heard it in a advertisement. Here is the lint to Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Toccata (Official Audio)ruclips.net/video/ZdSeNMlKTcA/видео.html&pp=ygULdG9jY2F0YSBlbHA%3D But before you do that just for yourself and NOT for reaction watch the video where Carl Palmer talks about his new 2 and a half ton steel drum kit. Toccata is the 1st ever electronic drum solo. Studio version is the best. ruclips.net/video/0e_x6u0Ocbs/видео.html&pp=ygUeY2FybCBwYWxtZXIgZHJ1bSBraXQgaW50ZXJ2aWV3
.
It is a pitty that the sound of this clip is so bad, cause he indeed mimics the notes of the guitar. But you cannot hear it very well. It is something he was known for. A good example is this: ruclips.net/video/icWcaP0_L2o/видео.html
He usually did it as an intro to the song I just linked to.
You can use that as a suggestion tool, though you need to like the guitar for this one.
Try Song One of these days
Listeners, could someone tell me what year this is from?
Others below have mentioned "The Bluest Blues{" - here it is (with guest George Harrison on slide guitar): ruclips.net/video/rB6OlJqV1rQ/видео.html
You don't play guitar and not old enough to know Alvin Lee
Very good choice ladies he's an excellent guitar picker
