It's a 2006 built vessel & still has one of the best integrated bridge equipments .

Sir, it was really good for me to view this video today. As today was my DNS 2nd semester NAV IV examination. So, I got a nice experience to view the bridge of world's largest ship and to know about the equipments. Thank you so much sir for making such an awesome and knowledgeable video. And I think that by your such nice videos, people will get to know more about this optimistic career, and in spite of choosing there career in engineering or something else they will at least try to enter MERCHANT NAVY.

Why do you go through the trouble of live narration ? You could have recorded a few seconds of each equipment and then did a voice over later explaining everything in detail.

When we are off duty that means we are on holidays, are those leaves paid leaves or unpaid leaves? Like, we are on holiday for at least 2-3 months depending upon the time we served on a particular ship. Do we get any salary during our holidays or its just unpaid leave?

P.S: sorry if get the emprition that I have some hard feelings for you cus I didn't mean to sound mad at you for calling Emma Maersk the biggest ship and the world, at the end of the day this is your channel, after all, you could literally call it the smallest ship despite its enormous size

The blinking of the ECDIS and RADAR on screen so captured on your GoPro is due to the refresh rate of those digital screens. Which is probably 60 Hz, considering your GoPro is recording at 30 FPS as we can see those screens blink twice every second through your GoPro recording.

Hello! This is Mike. I am retired 10 yrs, now. Used to sail as A/B Unlimited under US Flagged Vessels. We are represented by unions and have contracts with the various Shipping Companies. They are all very similar contracts, but some better than others. All have paid vacation time. i.e. If You work a relief job for 2 months, You would get 1 month paid time off. This is basic pay.( no bonus or holiday pay). If You worked for 4 months, then You would get 2 months paid vacation. This is a general idea for You, and just for U S Flagged Vessels.
