This Rivet Counter ES44AC is fully detailed and comes with ESU Version 5 DCC and sound from the factory. Not only is it loaded with tons of details, but it also has a lot of lights on it as well. To make matters even better, this model has exceptional running qualities.
From the ScaleTrains website: In 2002, GE introduced the “Evolution Series” of locomotives. Better known as “GEVOs” or ES44s, this series has become the best-selling line of diesel locomotives of all time with production nearing 8,000 units. Our Rivet Counter series model renders the numerous variations of cabs, dynamic brakes, doors, grilles, trucks, etc. We’ve also incorporated LED lighting effects including front, rear, and side walkway lights; ground lights; printed and lighted number boards; and ditch lights.

Iowa interstate has to have one of the best paint schemes of all the gevos, I’m so lucky to be close enough to chase them
I grew up with the IAIS.....
Scale trains are just a mind blower. Detail +.
I loved seeing this!
Great model ScaleTrains and great presentation John. I live in the UK and I'm very curious what the prototype rules are for using the horn and bells and lights in the US. Also are there differences in the type of motors manufacturers use in the US, in their strength (ie pulling power) and smoothness in running. In the models that is; not the real thing.
I am not a huge fan of scale sound, but the effect that sound has on small scale models is absolutely wonderful and necessary so better something than nothing. I saw somewhere where there’s a subwoofer system that you can hook up to give that diesel base that these big prime movers create. If anyone knows what that is I would love to hear. I think the sound of this locomotive on this RUclips video would benefit from maybe having the microphone closer to the locomotive? and can you adjust the volume of the sound that the locomotive makes? Is there a scratch under the 500 on the cab? Did it come from the manufacture that way? I love watching your videos. I just bought an NCE power cab and I have a Broadway Limited and atlas gold locomotives are in the mail on the way to me I found your locum motive review videos both very helpful and enjoyable.
Scale Trains and Athearn Genesis Locomotives are the only ones I buy-with very few exceptions. Very Sharp paint scheme. Thanks for Sharing!
