Thanks for making this video with the airplus i ordered mine and cant wait! I have the pro with premium pieces and evo question, which out of the 3 do u prefer? Especially against playing with the evo compared to the air+ which do u enjoy more?
I never thought I would say it because I wasn’t interested in it originally, but the Pro is hands down my favorite playing experience. Switching from the Pro to the Air+ made it feel like I was playing on a tiny board. Obviously cost is a huge consideration but having played on the Pro now I think I would opt for it for sure. If I had to pick between the EVO and the Air+ I would probably pick EVO for the functionality, like Chessable or even just the Twitch app. I still think the Air+ looks way better though. Just depends what you value.
Centralize King earlier... get opposition with King v King and stop King from infiltrating your position. I think b5 was a mistake too, but maybe I am wrong... the pawn was restricting scope of White's N. And the square b5 was a route for your King to infiltrate the Queen side. Once you played b5, it blocked your King's infiltration route, so made it harder to swap down pawns. I think the winning plan (after you lost the opposition) was to let White have the King side pawns, but make him work for them.... then while he is on the King side you could raid the Queen side. An interesting endgame. Deserves much study.
I’m so bummed. Had to return my Air + due to piece recognition and random LEDs. The replacement had the same issue and had to return that one as well. Wondering if the Pro or regular air might have better luck. I thought it might be interference in the house but I took it outside around the neighborhood. Anyway, thanks for posting. Maybe someday…
Ugh that is a huge bummer. I’ve been fortunate that the units I have work pretty much flawlessly but it definitely doesn’t sound like an isolated case in your instance based on what I’ve seen posted elsewhere. I know I’ve said this in other comments but Chessnut has an awesome product but they really need to dial in their quality control before they lose too much trust from the consumers.
9:42 why not just take the bishop with the rook as it is hanging? The pawn is under absolute pin? Besides, when up so much material, think about trading some it back for safety. Of course if he is going to keep giving away free stuff like that queen, and both bishops, you do take. I guess 1500 Chesscom is basically who makes the most blunders?
Not to go too philosophical but isn’t all chess about who makes the least blunders? Blunders may not be as apparent at top levels but the smaller mistakes make a bigger difference. Admittedly I missed that tactic for sure and I definitely need to improve my tactical vision. That’s why I do the analysis! Thanks for the comment
Do you use whitepawn app? Or chessnuts one to play on lichess? With whitepawn you get sloppy play and can slide pieces. But I've never used the chessnut app.
When I play on lichess I use the Chessnut app and never have any problems. I play rapid though, so I’m not sure if the white pawn app allows faster time controls? I know that lichess does not allow eboards to play faster than rapid
@@cameronginochiochess I've never used the chessnut app. The fastest you can play is rapid on whitepawn too I think. However given you need to move the pponents pieces and may want to be sloppy / slide pieces with your moves, you want 1 sec before the board registers the move. That way you minimise the mis recognition say of moving pawn 1 Vs 2 or sliding a rook. However it means you need an even bigger increment to make it worthwhile.
I don't know how you feel about this.... but here goes nothing. Your 2nd game was very interesting.... would you mind posting a PGN of it here, in the video description? I understand if you would rather not, but I would like to study it in more depth.

Link to the game and PGN is in the description now!
The Caro-Kann is fine. But any opening is fine with me.
