i THINK i know how it works? cause like. that low punch has a built-in followup grab that you can do by inputting a specific button combo, but you can only do it on counter-hit. so on a standing opponent if they get counter-hit by the low punch they'll go into a doubled-over animation that leads naturally into the followup grab if you do the button combo but i guess (at least for this move specifically) the game doesn't differentiate between a counter-hit on the ground vs a counter-hit while the opponent is standing? cause a ki charge automatically makes the next hit (whether it's your hit or your opponent's hit) a counter-hit. so because of the ki charge the game registers that the low punch was a counter-hit and let them do the followup grab, even though the opponent wasn't standing up and wasn't anywhere near them idk that's my best guess at least. i'm really curious to see whether you can do this with a hit from behind and ALSO if you can do this in other tekken games besides tag 1. cause king still had this move and the button combo followup grab all the way up until namco changed it in 7, so i'm really curious whether they took this specific interaction out in 4, 5, 6 and tag 2 or if it's still in there

If you mash any punch or kick button she will instantly tech roll hence nullifying the damage. And the there are specific directions whether its a kick or a punch E.g kick button rolls to the foreground And punch rolls to background.
