The ambulance service were with me on the hardest day of my life, when I called due to a mental health crisis. Our NHS does so much for us, and I am forever grateful
Call takers and Dispatchers never receive the credit they truly deserve. I for one thank you. They are the lifelines for so many everyday and in unbelievable conditions. Please, don't forget your mental health as you help others. Its ok to get help. Stay safe.
So true 👍 they also have a hard job and deserve recognition. I definitely wouldn't want to do that or a paramedics job. But I have so much respect for them. 🎉
I'm American. So needed badly here. The NHS is a gift, so wish we could put one together in the US, but we have to prioritize our fellow man more first. ❤
@andyjpower1 they can be forced, but our politicians are owned unfortunately, and any real progressive policies that can help the public at large are immediately stamped out by the bought.
@@Horticarter41NHS in America would be garbage lol, look at our 51st state, Canada, garbage health care service. Same with the United Kingdom, what would be beneficial is keeping privatization of healthcare while creating a public health system.
My dad was born in Glasgow and talking to him over the years and talking to his cousin over the years, they were always carrying something in their pockets. My mom said when her and my dad used to walk arms around each other she would just put her hand in his pocket to rest it and one day she got poked by something and it cut her and here it was a knife. And that’s in the early 1950s. I think we had a time that we quit doing that stuff but now it’s picked right up again and I think it’s a lot worse.
The main hospitals are worth every penny. It's the local surgeries that need to be investigated and shut down and reopen with all new staff that actually want to help people back to work instead of the opposite.
That mum sending his child away when hes worried. I felt his feelings then. Why would you do that. Theres litterally an ambulance taking his dad away, and her first thought is get out the way. Some people just shouldnt have kids untill there wise enough to understand the massive impackt they have on there children.
Our NHS needs to be appreciated more. Not only by the public but the government as well. They are our beating heart of our country and need to be taken care of. 💙
If you are needle phobic if you have been stabbed your health is more important so just look away and if the paramedics or medical person needs to insert a needle let them and just look away
You can try and explain but sometimes you just need to wait and be ready when the problem "resolves itself" I.e. they're unconcious. The most bizarre patient with "needle phobia" I've ever had was in severe anaphylaxis and refused I.v. access but did agree to adrenalin into the thigh which fyi is also done with a needle. Most often though you can get to an arrangement and do it or give meds in another way.
True phobias are not logical, that’s what makes them a phobia. Phobia: an irrational and illogical fear You don’t just “look away,” it is an anxiety disorder that can be very serious
I used to (still kinda do) have a fear of needles. that fear stemmed from having so many operations and needles for the cannula that my hand scarred where it gets inserted and now I am scared of them but in true autism fashion, theres rules to the fear. I cant look for injections, eyes fully closed for my nose piercings I got, but I can watch a tattoo on me and if im having blood drawn, I cant look when the needle is inserted, but once its in im fine thats because my main trauma with needles came from the time they tried to insert a cannula and failed, so they tried again. and it hurt. and poor 12-13 year old me was so upset. I was already a little bit nervous but now im scared my fear of needles is also a fear of surgery too. to the point I have to have a sedative before surgery prep, because I have panic attacks. fears arent rational. theres no logic to them. if ive been stabbed, id rather be unconscious for any needles. the fear can be so intense, you forget you are hurt and focus more on what youre scared of
