- Hey Guardians! Today we dive into the backstory behind the Black Armory's newest vendor Ada-1. Ada used to be a human child, but was transfered into an exo body when her mother feared for the worst. I love how this is supposed to be a secret from the Vanguard, yet Zavala and Ikora somehow WONT notice a massive influx of Guardians going through a recently opened door in the Marketplace.
Christian First well I imagine Ikora wouldn’t care as much but Zavala would notice

Christian First tbh the story only follows 3 guardians, a warlock, hunter, and Titian (Which is your fire team) so no only is, not for gambit that’s a other story

if cayde was still alive rest in peace cayde D: he would love to get these weapons because in the strike the arms dealer cayde some times says that he wants Bracus Zahn flame turrets and even says his weapons ain't half bad but that he still deserves what this fire team gonna give him so he would of loved these black armory weapons a lot

Original tower was destroyed, I feel where is new tower is at was where she was all along. Technically she didn’t move in, guardians did.
She probably likes to laugh at how stupid the guardians all are, because they don't even realise she's living in their stronghold/HQ

Audio book style is my favorite for lore vids. They are very rare due to the time commitment but, as a listener with the easy job, it is tremendously more enjoyable.
I knew that bungie were gonna make destiny 3 and another thing I'm intrigued as to why ada-1 has only just decided to aid the guardians now
Probably because she knows the darkness is coming again and the guardians need as much help as they can get
She isn’t aiding them willingly, it’s just out of her best interest. She let them in because the black armory has secrets that are out of her reach. So she uses the guardians to retrieve set secrets.
The Phantom Unit aka she is using us like everyone else does. This is why I like the spider, he isn’t making it a big ass secret he uses us.

My first thought when I saw the name. Almost thought she would be a Frame. I can't think of any other Exo's that have never been reset.
She never needed a reset cause she didn't do anything else besides guarding the Black Armory so the Bray corp. never thought she needed one or at least this is what I think
She wasn't made at the deep stone crypt, they may not even know she exist or so she wldnt have any of there secrets so no reason to apply the long slow whisper
The "1" guys means the reset that was her waking as an exo. The resets were always done by the Clovis Bray corp. We assume the reason ever exo was ever reset is just because their minds started to reject the body. However think about Cayde's message to the exo makers. She never needed a reset because she was never made by the brays. Her mother and Yuki crafted her themselves. The brays are hiding things and one of them is the real reason for exo resets
@@@Nykerian13 Perhaps it's Rasputin who does the resets, he has had control of the Exo program and also likes to conceal information.
I'm on the fence on the resets, I can make equally strong cases for both R. and CB being behind wiping an Exo's memory.
THIS LORE IS SO AMAZING! I wish it was fleshed out in the game more. But thanks for taking us through this story. I teared up a little.

Ada-1 was definitely Mara's second 'audience'... Considering Ada-1's past, it would be very disrespectful of Mara to not send us away before Ada-1 got there. Plus, Mara is getting ready for an all-out fight with Savathun, which gives her a reason to reach out to the Black Armory.
Will definitely watch sometime in the future, just want to see what is told in game first.

I get the feeling in destiny 3 that the traveler might be the enemy instead of an ally
My reasoning for this is...
-Rasputin fucking tatical nuked it, and while it's main reason was to keep it in the milky way to protect earth, I also think he had another reason for it, just a hunch, got nothing to back this up
- leaks from game testers shows that in destiny 1 the original story was that you caught the darkness and then realized that the traveler was bad, the final boss battle being the traveler
- darkness subclasses have been confirmed for Destiny 3, hinting at the young wolf becoming a turncoat
You could probably find more evidence for this somewhere else as well

Ada 1..aka the big owl that lives in the underground epic library in avatar the last airbender
So this proves two things. First, exos don't need to be rebooted. It was purely to cover up some shit CB did. And second, the traveler never communicated with humans. So everything we did during the golden age, we did ourselves, without any help from whatever and whoever.
They only have to be rebooted if the mind rejects the body. Ada's mind never did.

@@saltyslug2637 That is the public information Bray Corp said, but through Cayde we know they are pretty shady and they often wipe Exo minds after they use the Exos to do their dirty work, so it is possible that they were lying about the mind rejection issue.
Pooding, Humanity built their own golden age, but we did utilize the traveler’s influences, as the catalyst.
I don’t think Ada-1 as ever been rebooted, besides her first upload as Exo. Her knowledge possibly goes back before the collapse. Interesting. Unlike Cayde-6, who’s been rebooted 5 other times. Lol

I wonder if we will ever see the EXO Stranger again. I was hoping that in a twist she was the one that fired and killed the Risen when Henerette was in hiding.
I like her Ada mom reason for not trusting the traveler , fear it might make people rely on the traveler too much, causing them to be weak.

Wow, I didn't know guardians used to be murderous thugs, I had always thought that their ghosts told them what they needed to know. That's actually pretty upsetting.

Also, I am wondering what happens to the bodies or the remains of those humans who have been converted into exos and what if a ghosts revives one of those remains who were converted into exos becomes a guardian and what happens if both of them meet even though they both lose their memories, I wonder?
Also, ho does an exo become a guardian? Still a lot of questions that need to be answered
Brad White yeah I wish destiny would put all this lure into the actual game instead of having to buy books or having to go on RUclips. The lure is better than the actual story.
There's a computer terminal in the lost sector next to the Bray corporation building on Mars in the warmind dlc that explains the nature of exos and how they transfer human minds into exo bodies.
Am I the only one who wishes that the Concordat would have been armed by a Black Armory Firge when they were exiled?

Huh, this kinda makes me wonder if FWC started as a subset of the Black Armory; they share the idea of war and are both led by Exos with a low reboot count. Maybe Lhaksmi and Ada are related?
Jeez my god, if they became guardians everyone would be mad op, I kinda see why they wouldn’t want that, they did have some good points, q lot of events wouldn’t have happen if these weapons were there to stop.
Hey Evade, I had an interesting interaction with Ikora tonight while completing the weekly. while I was in my menus I heard Ikora mention (and I paraphrase) "I wonder what would have happened all those years ago if the hunters hadn't given up their gift... Maybe we would have come for you" as in kill you I'm assuming. I tried searching everywhere for another to reference this but have come up empty handed. Is this something someone has heard before? is this D1 connecting lore or is this new? Did the hunters give up their gift? Thank you for your time and videos. Greatly appreciated.
She is referring to the bladedancer hunters from D1 and their ability to blink, which they "learned" from the warlocks. In D2, no such class exists for arc hunters, so apparently they gave up the ability.

I love the lore! Can't wait for Tuesday!! Doing a bit of research: The Exo is a robotic body with an uploaded human consciousness. The technology to encode the latter into the former was developed by Clovis Bray. This existence is not naturally sustainable; early Exos suffered from a condition known as Dissociative Exomind Rejection (DER), a serious and ultimately fatal cognitive disorder caused by the human mind rejecting its new body. Clovis Bray discovered that DER could be staved off by two particular methods. The first was the "reboot", erasing the mind's memories post-transfer so that it would not remember its old body and so better accept the new one Sooooon since she was transferred as a child maybe she was less likely to sufffer from DER and not need resets @EvadeHD thoughts???
