Also, a trick, use Reflex Sight with the Cross reticle (doesn't matter if you have the red, purple, or any color) on shotguns. Put the bottom of the reticle on the targets head and then, boom. Also if you play on consoles, use sixth sense instead of awareness so you can tell which direction people are coming from, and it'll save you a slot in your custom class.

Great longshot strategy, Thermal or Varix 3, suppress your gun, play hardcore, and legit SNIPE on maps like Fringe and Stronghold. You can get 1-2 shot kills, a guaranteed longshot. You can do this on core with the M8A7, XR-2, 48 Dredge, and Pharo, which are burst guns which can one-burst an enemy. Took my bro around 5 games for about 10 longshots with the KN-44.
Don't worry about game modes. It honestly doesn't matter. I started going for head shots in TDM core. I was getting like 10 head shots a game. Before I knew it I had 100 head shots in under an hour.
finally someone who gives tips, other people are like tips and tricks tips and tricks tips and tricks but they only TELL you how to unlock the dark matter -_-
1-2 weeks if you play for 6-10 hours a day with tips from this video. So far, my experience of grinding gold camo on assault rifle, took me about 6-8 hours in period of 2 days to get 4 gold camo. Also the game was out for more than 2 months already, if you're an average player and play regularly a little bit a day then by now you could also have dark matter camo and have a life ;).
I got all headshots for every assault rifle in just a few hours of playing. FFA is SOOO easy to play and win in. I always use Dead silence, awareness, and flak jacket, perk 2 is up to you. I've gone 30/0 multiple times, and get under 10 deaths each game, also obviously win each game unless I'm playing a super sweaty kid.. I still win I mean, but more deaths lol. The sheiva combined with High Caliber becomes a one shot headshot in core! MAKE SURE you look at the lobby leaderboard before starting a match, you never know when you'll run into the Cod god himself (sweaty kid lol).
Also make a mental note to go for headshots. If your like me and rarely loose in FFA or ANY mode for that matter, you seem to forget about headshots when your win is hanging in the balance. I can't tell you how many headshots I gave up on because I wanted the W instead.
HOW TO GET EASY LONGSHOTS: Use the Varix 3 sight and switch the sight to the most zoomed out. Current glitch in game will give you long shots randomly even if it shouldn't be a longshot. Like to share!

I do core for head shots because you don't always have the best aim so you might shoot twice in the body and then shoot once in the head
