Thank you so much for your ride around Belo Horizonte and the train rides across Brazil. My late wife and I took a 3-week tour of Brazil in 1986 and spent one night in Belo Horizonte. We took a day trip to Ouro Preto and visited the mines there. Although we spent most of our trip in large cities, we did spend a night at Iguazu Falls and another in Manaus so we saw something of the country's interior. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to see more of Brazil than I saw when Iwas there. Did you spend much time in the country?
@ricksipes2026 It sounds very interesting , it had to be a great tour. Ouro Preto is a very nice colonial town. And Iguazu falls, it is just amazing, the amount of water... . I actually am brazilian, but living in Slovenia for many years. This year I spent almost 4 weeks in Brazil, mostly visiting family and friends and did some filming too.
it was a great tour but we had to fly everywhere we went! I'd like to go back some day and visit Southern Brazil where the German villages are. Slovenia is another country that I'd like to visit. Hoping to get back to Europe next year after COVID.@@RailRelaxation

There's nothing like watching a movie recorded somewhere far away, in good weather, while sitting at home in Central Europe, in gray, rainy and depressing weather. The new signaling system will definitely come in handy, because so far I have only seen semaphores just before the switches, without any warnings before. You say that the maximum speed is 80 when the maximum train speed is 60 and I haven't seen such signs anywhere, some gaps are definitely lower. It's certainly not very safe, and the line cannot run too often...

Nice to see videos from your part of the world. It would seem to me that most of the metro station platforms were constructed a lot longer than necessary. Anyway, keep up the good work and hope we see more videos from Brazil.

Na Cidade de São Paulo essa composição seria classificada como trem metropolitano e não como Metrô. As várias linhas de metrô existentes em São Paulo, em regra, são quase todas subterrâneas, salvo algumas exceções e em alguns trechos. Mas Independente do nome, se é trem ou metrô, adoro seus vídeos que são muito bem feitos e legais de assistir. Obrigado por postar e abraços.
Em São Paulo até o monotrilho é chamado de metrô, mesmo sem ter a mesma capacidade de um metrô e circular numa plataforma suspensa na superfície, além das outras linhas de superfície que também são integradas ao metrô.

You mention the dual-gauge main line to the side of most of the journey but I only see sitting freight trains, even a long consist of hopper cars without locomotive. Only at the end there's a train with lights on and personnel on it, why is that?

Sou de BH, acho essa linha do metrô de superfície de BH ok. Porém nosso metrô aqui está defasado a anos, precisamos de mais linhas a região metropolitana é bem grande essa linha ficou insuficiente para nossa metrópole mineira alô poder público a era da corrupção passou vamos investir para o povo ter melhor infraestrutura.

Não é uma ferrovia municipal não,são 2 municípios da região metropolitana de Belo Horizonte,Contagem e Belo Horizonte,que dá mais 4 milhões de habitantes,já morei 3 anos nessas duas cidades
but.... a metro is a type of city railway. Also it's quite literally called the "Metro de Belo Horizonte". It's the only line of the metro in the city.

I know, having seen rides in the suburbs of Buenos Aires, that the proposed rail service is also called METRO, but it distort the reality. I prefer the names give at these same services in.Germany and in France.
It cannot be considered a subway, not only because of its appearance but also because of the interval between trains. No subway takes 15 minutes apart. This is not a subway! It's a scrapped subway train system
The scenery is nice, but the trains are SO SLOW! ZZzzzz! At least when it is SO slow, you get more time to see what's around, and Belo Horizonte, to its credit, is not a dump like Rio!
This service is very old, one of the first in Brazil. The previous public company that operated the line did not make the necessary updates to modernize the system. But recently, the Metro was privatized and the new operating company is modernizing the system in every way, including the speed of the trains.
Nao é um metro. E nem é só pela aparência até pq existem metros de superfície, mas pelo fato do intervalo de trens ser de 15 minutos. Pra ser considerado um metro, ele deveria ter um intervalo de no maximo 7 minutos, o q já é muito tempo, imagina 15 minutos. Absurdo kkk com todo respeito a população desse estado mas isso ai é um metro fake!
Poxa, com metrô de São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, bem maiores e BEM MAIS MODERNOS, foi filmar o metrô merda de Bosta-H. Já fui em todas essas cidades, e chamar esse "trem velho" de metrô.... não dá. Bosta-H tem uma máfia que não deixa o metrô desenvolver, até o metrô de Recife é melhor!!! Obs: desculpe os mineiros a sinceridade, mas não tem como comparar com o metrô de São Paulo, Rio, Brasília... até dá para compararar com o de Recife, mas, ja andei nos dois, e o metrô de Recife é melhor.

Nice to see videos from your part of the world. It would seem to me that most of the metro station platforms were constructed a lot longer than necessary. Anyway, keep up the good work and hope we see more videos from Brazil.

It's longer because before the privatization they used to join two trains between 5-8 am and between 6-8 pm when there's more people using it

Atualmente a velocidade é de 60 km/h pois o metrô está passando por um processo de revitalização das estações.

Na Cidade de São Paulo essa composição seria classificada como trem metropolitano e não como Metrô. As várias linhas de metrô existentes em São Paulo, em regra, são quase todas subterrâneas, salvo algumas exceções e em alguns trechos. Mas Independente do nome, se é trem ou metrô, adoro seus vídeos que são muito bem feitos e legais de assistir. Obrigado por postar e abraços.

Em São Paulo até o monotrilho é chamado de metrô, mesmo sem ter a mesma capacidade de um metrô e circular numa plataforma suspensa na superfície, além das outras linhas de superfície que também são integradas ao metrô.

You mention the dual-gauge main line to the side of most of the journey but I only see sitting freight trains, even a long consist of hopper cars without locomotive. Only at the end there's a train with lights on and personnel on it, why is that?

Sou de BH, acho essa linha do metrô de superfície de BH ok. Porém nosso metrô aqui está defasado a anos, precisamos de mais linhas a região metropolitana é bem grande essa linha ficou insuficiente para nossa metrópole mineira alô poder público a era da corrupção passou vamos investir para o povo ter melhor infraestrutura.

Não é uma ferrovia municipal não,são 2 municípios da região metropolitana de Belo Horizonte,Contagem e Belo Horizonte,que dá mais 4 milhões de habitantes,já morei 3 anos nessas duas cidades
but.... a metro is a type of city railway. Also it's quite literally called the "Metro de Belo Horizonte". It's the only line of the metro in the city.

It cannot be considered a subway, not only because of its appearance but also because of the interval between trains. No subway takes 15 minutes apart. This is not a subway! It's a scrapped subway train system

@edisonz2006 They normally have headlights but my camera is not very good for the low light filming and it seems totally dark.

The scenery is nice, but the trains are SO SLOW! ZZzzzz! At least when it is SO slow, you get more time to see what's around, and Belo Horizonte, to its credit, is not a dump like Rio!

This service is very old, one of the first in Brazil. The previous public company that operated the line did not make the necessary updates to modernize the system. But recently, the Metro was privatized and the new operating company is modernizing the system in every way, including the speed of the trains.

Nao é um metro. E nem é só pela aparência até pq existem metros de superfície, mas pelo fato do intervalo de trens ser de 15 minutos. Pra ser considerado um metro, ele deveria ter um intervalo de no maximo 7 minutos, o q já é muito tempo, imagina 15 minutos. Absurdo kkk com todo respeito a população desse estado mas isso ai é um metro fake!
Nos horários de pico nos dias úteis é 7 minutos.

Poxa, com metrô de São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, bem maiores e BEM MAIS MODERNOS, foi filmar o metrô merda de Bosta-H. Já fui em todas essas cidades, e chamar esse "trem velho" de metrô.... não dá. Bosta-H tem uma máfia que não deixa o metrô desenvolver, até o metrô de Recife é melhor!!!
Obs: desculpe os mineiros a sinceridade, mas não tem como comparar com o metrô de São Paulo, Rio, Brasília... até dá para compararar com o de Recife, mas, ja andei nos dois, e o metrô de Recife é melhor.
