What about race? Have you seen employers care about it? Have you seen it in peers or people you have helped get a degree apprenticeship? I am a Person Of Colour so I am curious, I’m under the belief it makes it harder. Would these steps still be able to increase my chances?

Do all degree apprenticeships accept gap year applicants?
They accept anyone as long as you meet the requirements. There are 40 yr olds who could apply to degree apprenticeships... so yes, gap year is fine
Does it matter whether an online course you do is based in the UK or not?
No it's fine, I did ones based in Holland and Hong Kong

there's very high levels of diversity from what I've seen, you'll be fine
