Again, the 16 Pro is most likely stuck on 5 GHz. There seems to be a bug in the 16 Pro (I have one too) that when the frequencies are all combined, it holds on to the 5 GHz and won’t connect to the 6 GHz. The Orbi routers don’t allow separating frequencies though. This is a main reason I had to go with Asus routers. They still allow the separation of frequencies. If you can make your 6 GHz frequency separate and connect directly to it within the iPhone WiFi menu, you should see full speeds. It worked for me. 😊
It’s possible that the iPhone’s WiFi 7 chip is limited to a maximum speed of 160MHz instead of the advertised 320MHz. I’ve conducted multiple tests across different frequency bands (2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz) and channel widths, but I haven’t been able to achieve speeds beyond WiFi 6e. This is disappointing, as the new iPhones don’t fully utilize the capabilities of WiFi 7 and don’t support the 320MHz 6GHz frequency. This pattern is similar to Apple’s previous choices, where they opted for 2x2 80MHz 5GHz connections instead of faster 3x3, 4x4 160MHz 5GHz connections. Currently, my setup shows no significant improvement in performance over WiFi 6e on the iPhone 16 series. It’s uncertain whether software updates to the iPhone or the WiFi system will enhance WiFi 7 performance on the iPhone 16 lineup. Given the likelihood of a hardware limitation rather than just software, software updates might improve reliability but not speed.
Not bad but … one aspect I found earlier this year between the S24U, and 15PM with WiFi 6. They were close till I was greater than 10ft from the router/modem still in DLOS. The 15PM dropped and was significantly slower than the S24U. Hopefully Apple will fix this with the 16.
As an apple developer here I can assure you that the modem is capable of the same speeds and more…it’s apple limiting/throttling the speeds. I am having issues with them at this moment with other software, however their hardware is truly second to none. Very much dislike the OS and its limitations but nothing wrong with the hardware.

Wow, what speeds) my local network at home is only 1 gigabit)
Gigabit is fast as well but yeah 5Gbps is pretty fast, some people have 10Gbps though lol
Sorry to 3rd world country viewers who cant comprehend to the internet speed this guy is showing... I know they would all get the same results at 3 digits Mbps lol.
Lol, yeah my Internet is fast granted there is faster out there. I need the fast internet since I'm constantly testing routers, also the reason I have so many phones to test out the routers.
You know Qatar had 10gbps for years now
2 gigabit upload is crazy 😮
Yes, it is especially for WiFi. Can get 5Gbps on my computer via Ethernet.
They removed and antenna to put in the button oh shocks I mean camera control 😅😂
lol
Wifi 7 support is coming with iOS 18.1 update
Good to know, I will do another test when it’s available if it makes a difference
wow everything with Apple these days is ship hardware first and then release software updates later on ....
@@Fear.of.the.Dark. Supported through update after the release of Galaxy 24 Ultra
Fake news - not true
@@landpetthat’s not true
do u mind to do a wifi and 5G LTE speedtest on iphone 16 vs iphone 16 pro ? thanks
I don’t have a regular iPhone 16. Just as a heads up, the 5G speeds depends on your location and carrier, that thing can drastically vary. I’ve seen it go as fast as almost 3Gbps over 5G and as slow as 1Mbps.
@@landpet wow thanks
My country my area internet speed 4Mbps 😂
Nice!
I'm proud to be a OnePluser😅😅😅
Great phone
Here i am with a 2.4 and 5ghz router.
The Orbi 970 is a beasty router
@@landpet honestly I have unlimited data so I'm never on Wi-Fi anyway.
Which WiFi 7 are you using?
I don’t understand the question
My wi-fi speed still running 40/93 mbps😂
Lol
And I'm usiny unstable 10mb connection and dreaming for 30mb connection 😂
Lol
Can you do a wifi range test too? Thank you.
I do the wifi range tests for the individual router or mesh system videos but haven't done any for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. But I expect it to perform similar to the iPhone 15 Pro Max which I've done tons of videos on for various routers and mesh systems in the past year.
Hello, loved the video. Can we please get a test with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Thanks!
I don't have the S23 Ultra anymore but that's a WiFi 6E device
Da hell bro.. my wifi speed was around 20mbps 😂
lol
The 16 pro max is next gen from the other two, something has to be wrong
Those are the results, try it out, unless there’s a software update coming in the future to address this.
Kenya 180 mbps top.
OnePlus is the best👍
It's pretty awesome
Minister in My Country said
" Faster Internet For what?"
This is one of the things that makes me hate my country
all because of corruption that has never been addressed
seeing this video can get 3.5Gbps makes me very jealous
because I can only get it
50Mbps
this is different so far
Freaking sh*t
Hopefully Starlink comes and gets faster
How tf did you get this internet
it's in my area
apple reserve that speed for their future phone releases hahaha
Lol
Please review phone #Xiaomi14TPRO ??? Test speed vs OnePlus 12 vs Iqoo 12 vs iphone 16 pro max vs Samsung Galaxy S24 ultra speed test and camera check???? please
I'm not planning on getting the Xiaomi 14T Pro as of now.
I do plan on getting the next Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and potentially the next OnePlus 13.
iPhone 16 wifi 7 in one word: disappointment
Lol

Appears to be the case
@@landpet so useless wifi 7 on iphone 16 gimmick
@@landpet yeah if iPhone 16 support mlo is a bit helping
This is real review, not the blah blah review with not real facts.

My favorite phone so far
Please upload a test video with this data
I showed the results as they were running. I don’t want to include any info that has can potentially have my IP
Anyone noticing the iPhone display, how trashy it looks. It looks like LCD
Doesn't look bad in RL. But wifi 7 speeds are not that great, was expecting more
@@landpet Why is it like that, its not on to your video only but I see it on many side by side comparison videos from other Tech Reviews
