Vado tutti gli anni in Calabria e sarebbe bello se un giorno ritornassi a Catanzaro Lido per far conoscere al mondo internauta i favolosi prodotti gastronomici Calabresi. La Calabria è una terra ricca di tradizioni culinarie, che si basano su ingredienti genuini e sapori intensi. Tra i prodotti tipici calabresi, ci sono i salumi, come la 'nduja, la soppressata e il capocollo, i formaggi, come il pecorino e il caciocavallo, le conserve e le spezie, come il peperoncino, il bergamotto e la cipolla rossa di Tropea, i liquori e le birre, come l’amaro e la birra artigianale, e i vini, come il Cirò e il Greco di Bianco. Mi auguro che sarai rimasta incuriosita, per poter ritornare ancora una volta in Calabria.

My grandfather MICHELINO NANIA was born on January 16 1889 in Catanzaro Italy - I did research and traced him back to a monastery that he was given to on that date - by his parents who I guess could not keep him - The story goes is that he was dropped off at 4 in the morning - They rang the bell and then and put on a "rotunda" - which was a surface/table that went into the wall of the monastery and came out into the other side of the wall - from where the nuns would take the baby in - and adopt him - His name given to him by the nuns was Michael Macretta - I need to find out more information there - do you know of a monestary there ? or a city hall ? please let me know thank you , Joe Nania - his grandson -

👋👋👋 Nice lil Tour 👌.It is good to see all of those little shops in Business and not big box stores all over that part of town at least.Id definitely be buying some of those Italian made dress shirts myself,prices sounded decent for a small town store.Some of the architecture is nice in that part of town and it is always sad too see good architecture get run down and not upkept because the labor,money and time is worth it.Most of the vehicles suck there though,I mean cars suck in most places these days it just looks even worse there.Pretty much none of those I saw would be big enough to transport all of my Gear and Tools efficiently without make a ton of trips...

We’ll be in Catanzaro tomorrow, during the time everything is closed down what do you recommend we do? It looks like rain as well which stinks but we’ll make the best of it
Are you with a car? If you can drive down to the beach or go check out the city itself. Pack a picnic before hand and go to the biodiversity park if it’s not raining.
