I''ll vote for this chanell for this year's MVP. Tons of work right here! Very detailed videos, nice slo-mos and descriptions. Really love it. It helps to elevate my game a lot. Shout out from Russia.
@@soulwarsnerd 22 yr old version of rose is not his prime it's just his younger version. He still haven't hit his prime version Because of his injuries. Imagine his prime time without injuries 🔥 easily top5 best of all time💯.
Miles Simon at Arizona in 1997 was the first person I saw who had this move perfected. He took over the ncaa title game with this move. But he didn’t carry it over to the nba. Chris Paul was the next person I saw who mastered it early in his career when he was with the hornets. I read a comment someone said tony Parker and yes he was another one who mastered it. But Paul went away from the floater as much as his career went on. Now trey young has seem to got it down. It’s almost a automatic bucket once u master it. It’s kind of a cheat code like Kareem sky hook or Duncan bank shot. Or dirk fadeaway
It's really the ultimate finesse shot. Just don't let the ball's forward momentum become faster than the shooter's body. If you lose the weight of it in your hand you can't control it very well.
Nick Thorpe that's even better than not doing a floater and going for a layup or a dunk. Imagine dunking as fast and as explosive as westbrook and landing on someone's foot....
Do you think players should be able to make swish floaters with either hand? Obliviously they have to be able to finish off the glass with either hand, but i see a lot of NBA guys shy away from using lefty floaters when they're not using the glass
No. It's the same with shooting. You don't really need to learn how to shoot with both hands. All you need to do is to master shooting with either hand and I think it's the same principle in regards to floaters
If you are contested, is it better to shot a short range jumper or a floater? In my case i prefer to shot a floater beacuse i have a quicker realese and beat the block timing
It depends on angle of attack. If u r by the elbows u should shoot the pull up. Anything in the paint is a floater, even if it's one step in the free throw line. If u are attacking straight down the baseline u should release the floater at least one step before u get to the lane line or else u risk having to do too much adjustment to ya power especially under pressure (assuming if no one is in front of u there u might as well layup it up). If u are attacking the rim diagonally, the same rule applies but backboard is ya best friend in that scenario. The pull up jump shot is best either at the elbow area or a few steps inside the arc from other angles. Any closer and u might as well use a floater if it's a big part of ya game
Hey bro, love this vid bcuz I really needed it to score more. I just played in a tournament we placed 2nd but I missed ALL of my floaters. Thanks bro I really needed it. One request tho, can you do a breakdown on Michael Jordans form on his jumper??? If it is too hard then don't bother but I would love that vid if you could!! #Roadto2hundredK
Thank you so much I just had a basketball game and my coach wants me to work on my floater because he thinks it's great that nobody else uses it and I do. Because of that I really wanna perfect it so thank you.
Hey ammmmm #ByAnyMeansBasketball can you guys do another LeBron James video but this time the Rookie or the young LeBron James. Please make one for me, I'm a Huge fan of LeBron since before I learned how to play basketball (Way back in Miami Heat Days). Thank you 🏀 💓
U gotta work on ya pull up jumper as a counter or variation since it's in ya best interest to drive to the basket for the floater but also learn to catch and shoot in the mid range so not every jumper is contested and off the dribble. That's how I approach things so I'm not forced to spot up and shoot 3s all day. If u have good footwork on ya floater it's likely the 1-2 footwork of moving into a mid range shot off cuts or dribbling will come quickly to u.
Tony Parker clips should have been used he has one of the best floaters in nba history.
Was about to comment what you said
Agree. He is the master of floaters
and euro steps

I’m glad you brought that up bc I forgot about Tony Parker

my thoughts , such a very good breakdown
This is probably the best Floaters tutorial I have seen so far.
Has been my go to move for years now ... awesome vid. Also didn't realize D-Rose was so good at them, wow. Really was unstoppable in his prime
Jake Molnar roses floater game was insane. Makes me wonder why Westbrook doesn't have a nice floater
Prime Rose is better than Wesbrook. Prime Rose was a threat to Lebron in the East,

Great video, but you can’t talk about floaters and ignore Tony Parker 😞.
Because his floater is the simplest
Lmao I perfected floaters and my friends get so mad they're lie wtf how did you even make that they say that I just throw the ball hoping it goes in
Facts! I had a friend who had a mean floater and we would literally say the same thing
Love the DRose floater footage 🔥🌹
TP9 Floater is the most reliable to use.
Bro... Gotta Love this!! By Any Means new vid = QUALITY CONTENT ALWAYS keep it up!
Great video and a great breakdown 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Since I’m short I always use this but still need to work on it
We don’t break down Tony Parker’s floaters? He’s the master of it
I was working on my lefty floater today this vid came just in time
I think rose is the best with these floaters tbh
*was :((
The GOAT13 ik but he's still good with em sucks he got injured he was meant to be a legend would have been the best pg ever
as a Bulls fan, those clips make me feel so nostalgic :(
By Any Means Basketball Can you do a video about off ball movement?
You guys should upload a skill workout
Great Video
Awesome channel! How about a video dedicated to off ball movement?
Could you put the music in your videos in the description?
davie jones okay
i was waiting for this kind of informative video.... 😊😊
Is there a difference between a “runner” and a “floater”?
This was a very well don video!
Love the video, but how is there no Tony Parker in here? He has the best floater in NBA history
Thanks
Do you have any plans to do an Attention to Detail for Stockton/Malone? or the classic PnR?
It's really the ultimate finesse shot. Just don't let the ball's forward momentum become faster than the shooter's body. If you lose the weight of it in your hand you can't control it very well.
Ah ik u did a lockdown defender thing but could u do 1 on how to defend the 3 cuz now a days thats the favorite shot 4 people
This should be comprised exclusively of Derrick Rose clips. He can work his floater from 20+ feet & has made more off it than any other player
Practice floaters with both hands? Bc they are mostly using dominate hand floaters
Is it ok to do floater with your off-foot?
Yeah you should master them off different feet and if you master with your dominant hand become decent with your left
I used to have a mean floater game until I landed on a few guys feet and felt my ankle bone touch the floor. 😪
Nick Thorpe that's even better than not doing a floater and going for a layup or a dunk. Imagine dunking as fast and as explosive as westbrook and landing on someone's foot....
Atlas landed on a foot in a highschool game back in the day. Rip basketball dreams
Same , except it wasn’t as bad as you I don’t think 🥴

I’m fairly good finisher (layups)
Can fairy shoot
But never really practiced floaters
God damn I love this channel
excellent
Floaters got to easy for me, I started practicing them from the 3 😂
Same bruh, I be splashing them too lmao

If you can shoot you can do a floater just needs a little adjustment
MVP DROSE has the best floater of all time !🙌🏽

Damn everytime I saw these Rose clips. i missed his days
this is Emmanuel Quickley's favorite video

floaters are such low percentage shots to use consistently, except for Parker maybe
Devoid not if u master it

Thank you so much I just had a basketball game and my coach wants me to work on my floater because he thinks it's great that nobody else uses it and I do. Because of that I really wanna perfect it so thank you.

My jumpshot is like 30% fg or worse but my floaters at 50% what to do

Gilbert Arenas and Mahmoud Abdul Rauf
F*#@ school, i have to watch this
I can launch and shoot a floater anywhere even from 3
I also can do this, but missing all the time
Nordic Thunder i make mine count, its the only shot im sure will go in

No kyrie left handed floaters out of the post. Sort of surprised
When you will breakdown wnba players ?

Nice Vid. I love using floaters. But could you please finally make a Kyle Lowry Attention to Detail video?
Canadian Baller Kyle Lowry is overrated
No he’s not how is he overrated
Luke Stafford How? He is an All Star on the top team in the East.
Gamer Star1900 because Mike Conley is better
Deandre Pittman I know but still
