This is really the best installation instruction video on RUclips I would add that these bags have a left and right side You can tell by the reflective strip on what used to be the back side of the bag
I did a 10 day camping trip with these a couple months ago, solid bags. I like your zip tie idea, might try that. The velcro straps worked ok for me but that would look cleaner. And I didn't realize there's a pocket to slip the ends of the plastic supports in, good to know!
Those also look like a good value but it looks like they don’t have a liner bag to transport your items in and out of the bags …which is why I haven’t tried them yet. Thanks for your comment…happy trails!
The backing plate is not well thought through, the big velcro straps need to go through the backing plate and will hold much better. The big straps over the seat are a must for me because I do not want to hang the bag solely on the rack. The straps carry a fair bit of wait on the saddle then, far less push or pull on the racks. especially on the track. This is a reasonably priced good product, that's why I bought it, but that backing plate is "half cooked"
Hi, yes no worries. I have been using 18 inch long cable ties 0.34 inches (9mm) wide. The package says they are rated to 175 lbs "Loop Tensile Strength". And they were bullet proof when I road the MABDR fully loaded. I was riding and camping each day, so I was carrying everything with me for a little over a week round trip, and was no worse for wear. I thought about stainless cable ties but I think that would be overkill and will scratch the luggage racks.
@@dualsportgarage awesome! I’m ordering a set for my DR650. I’ll try it with the velcro straps running under the seat first. If that doesn’t look good or work well, then I’ll definitely try the cable ties. Thanks for the great review video
Thanks... Glad it helps. You can also use this link if you like ...This is the black set which is a little cheaper than yellow for some reason: amzn.to/3BIwJTN
Sorry mate, happy to answer your question…otherwise, be aware you can always adjust the speed of any RUclips video by hitting the gear icon. It’ll let you speed up and slow down. Hope that helps.

Good tip...I have not ever used the straps so this should help some folks. thanks for sharing!
How have those zip ties held up? I know that the bags can have a decent amount of downward force when traversing the rough stuff.

I know it's been a while but do you still use these bags? How are they holding up? Also, the zip ties still work? Thanks!
Wha is the velcro on the opening for. It doesnt seal the top?
Sorry, which Velcro do you mean? I don't see any Velcro on the openings on my set.
Sorry, I now see if it for stiffening.. Thanks!@@dualsportgarage
It would of been nice if you would just slow down. That backing plate is what is confusing me.
