    I have the same bags on my Himalayan. I made up another frame bolted to the pannier frame, it has two hooks on it so I just hook the bags on using the two rings at the back, and two straps to tie it down and hold it secure in place, easy 1 min on and off.

    So far ive been strapping a 40l dry bag to the back, but its a pain to un strap and re strap it every stop. I plan on doing a several week road trip this summer, this is exactly what I am looking for, thanks.

    Do you have a review of the saddle bag rack system? It looks like you have a rotopak mounted to the inside of it at @8:50?

      I don’t have a video, it was just a cheap set that I got off of eBay www.ebay.com/itm/394299910555?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=_Cf0vL99Td-&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=LLOR3AHGQyG&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

    Is that an ebay Chinese rack? Mine fit awful. Had to weld to make it fit

      Yea that is what it is, mine fit perfectly

    Great Video! I do have a question though. Do you feel the side straps alone would keep the bags secure? I love Nelson Rigg products but I do not want the straps over my seat or under. If you left those disconnected on your CRF, do you think it would still hold tight? I have a KLR and I just bought the 3dCycle quick disconnect plates so I’m looking for something that is truly quick disconnect

    • @WOODZMAN
      @WOODZMAN  10 месяцев назад +1

      I’m just not sure, the big straps that go over the top is really what holds the weight

    • @Caleb59826
      @Caleb59826 10 месяцев назад

      @@WOODZMAN Thanks for the quick reply! The plate I bought has several cut outs in it and I was hoping to use the top strap that goes over the bag as my top support and tuck the seat straps somewhere or cut them off. This is asking a lot, but since you have experience with the bags I want, could you look at the KLR 3d Cycle plate and give me your honest opinion?

    • @WOODZMAN
      @WOODZMAN  10 месяцев назад +2

      @Caleb59826 I looked at them, I think it would work, I would just want to somehow use the top straps and make them connect without goin over the seat.

      @@WOODZMAN I appreciate your opinion and have subscribed to watch more videos. You did a great job with this one and it helps people like me understand what they are looking at before making and online purchase. It would be so much easier if every pannier bag was in stock at your local dealer

    I’d like to know how well they hold up after a few light crashes on the trail. Their bags do come with a lifetime warranty but a friend of mine had to wait a YEAR for a replacement.

      I've been down half a dozen times and haven't had any issues. I've use the warranty several times on other items and it was quick and easy. Your friends situation was probably a while ago, I have insider information letting me know know the process is easy and quick these days.

      I have laid my bike over in the rocks a few times and have not had a problem. I have not actually had a bad crash though. I only heard good things about there warranty. I have had a couple things replaced and it was super fast

    I had a really hard time deciding between the rigg bags and the tusk excursion setup…both I would have been happy with. Ended up buying the tusk only because they are cheaper.

    • @WOODZMAN
      @WOODZMAN  9 месяцев назад +2

      I don’t know anything about the Tusk but I do know the Nelson Rigg is extremely good quality and that is why the give you a Lifetime Warranty, buy it once you never have to buy it again.
