Placido's enthusiasm of recognizing Dimash because of his grandson and Dimash's embarrassment yet pleasure to be recognized. He said an interview he's been a fan his whole life and had his CD at 5 years old. Of course hearing Dimash sing was spoken, and I think the talk of duet was probably put into motion. Great reaction William. Most of us opera fans who are Dimash fans were also brought to tears too.

I've watched it a few times! Really beautiful singing from both. The high b flats from Dimash are so technically skilled. Lots of bite to them but not a hint of strain. This man is a miracle.

The video where Placido meets Dimash for the first time is the cutest thing. Placido's enthusiasm of recognizing Dimash because of his grandson and Dimash's embarrassment yet pleasure to be recognized. He said an interview he's been a fan his whole life and had his CD at 5 years old. Of course hearing Dimash sing was spoken, and I think the talk of duet was probably put into motion. Great reaction William. Most of us opera fans who are Dimash fans were also brought to tears too.

I had my emotional meltdown yesterday when I heard it for the very first time too. I grew up with Domingo when I was a child and teenager and to see him singing a duet with my favorite singer now… magnificent!

There’s no doubt that he is so committed to his art. He has the added advantage of being fearless. I think he has great self belief from his parents & grandparents. Give a child inner belief and unconditional love and they will rise to the heights of heaven. Bravo Maestro Dimash.
