Really enjoyed this set myself as well. It managed to feel more silly and fun without being kind of annoying and dumb to me, which FF14 doesn't always manage with it's more comedic elements. I actually want to see more of these characters as opposed to dreading when they'll be brought back. I also like how it incorporated actual Healer elements into the quests and fight mechanics. it's probably easier to do this with Healer than other roles, sure, but FF14 always struggles in it's role quests to make what you're doing in the quests actually feel connected to the role they're attached to. I'll admit actually failing the big heal check at the end of the final fight the first time because, as a less experienced Healer player it completely caught me off guard

I failed the final fight ones as well. I do like it when they have us use unique mechanics to our role. And I do like Elerette and Kokonowa, I would be happy to see the two show up again.

They are all silly - I think there’s some intent behind it. Whereas Shadowbringers’ theme was pushing through difficult things, Dawntrail has all been about learning to let go. I think making the threats sillier serves to reinforce how much the WoL has grown and how little sense it makes for them to stay in Hydaelyn/Aetherys. I think we are being primed to say goodbye to this world as we move on elsewhere. Nations are learning to take care of themselves and each other, Tataru’s network of commerce has connected most of the star. The scions are ready to be leads of their own stories rather than assist in ours. There are new heroes like Wuk, with their own teams (Koana, Bakul Ja Ja, and the heroes we meet during the role quest) who, for the most part, take care of their own problems and are ready to carry on in our stead. This isn’t our story anymore, it’s a story of a world that loves us but no longer needs us, and it’s telling us it’ll be okay if we wonder away for a time.
I hope, even if this effect is accidental rather than intended, that the writers seize it and that we begin following in Azem steps down to other reflections, other worlds and perhaps even other realities. We are ready.

This is a very good point. It could make sense, as it looks like we might start exploring other reflections and such. There are without a doubt bigger stories out there and other worlds that do need saving.
