It is a good starter bowl. Surprising softwood is difficult to get a smooth surface. Hardwood is easier to get a smooth surface. Be prepared to sand a little more
Sorry my google drive was full and I cleaned up some files. I must have accidentally deleted this file I will keep looking and I will message you if I find it
Do you normally make segments that expose end grain? Also if plan on videoing while you turn. It would make sense to position the camera so it shows the turning. I love the look of you bowl. Just not sure it will hold up in time or use.
@@flhiker thanks for watching the video. I have been experimenting on my camera positioning to optimize. As far as end grain I got the plans from You Tube and lots of people are doing the exact same thing. (Although I know that doesn't make it right) it actually took the finish well and it seemed very uniform. It didn't seem to have any dull spots. I would think that is a good indication. I put sanding sealer on it. That would help seal the grain then I put 5 coats of OB Shine Juice. My only regret was I used some butternut and it was wormy.
@@burttsbowls469 thank for replying. Definitely a great look. I will have figure a way to get this look without exposing end grain. Having said that. I’m going to also make a few of these.
i re-watched this for a second time, very impressive work.

Pretty cool bowl! Hopefully I can make one of this in the future. New sub and thanks for sharing 👌

Sorry I was thinking this comment was related to the 2x4 bowl
It would make a cool hat also!
We’re you able to recover the Google file.
I clicked on the URL for the plans for the dizzy bowl, but got a "Page not Found" error. Can you please send me the correct URL? Thanks.

You need to place your camera where your viewing audience can see what you are doing.
Thanks KLee for the feedback I'm working on new mounts. Hopefully you will see improvements with my recent Videos.
Thanks for watching! Don't forget to give a thumbs up or provide a comment
If you did something about the sound people might watch
@@mick1gallagher thank you for your feedback. What do you suggest I do with the sound? Is it not loud enough?

Why even post this if you're not showing the work?( lame)!
What more do you want to see? I showed the design. The cutting the glue up. The turning. I try to keep my videos to around 20 minutes
