Proper blast from the past. Haven't listened to this tune for years. Still sounds modern. Im in glasgow tomorrow and Belfast Monday. Mostly positive reviews apart frim the people who expect them to still sound like the 70s golden era.
What I find really scary is that its over fifty years since I first saw Hawkwind and they are still on the road (if a little less powerful than in their heyday). Not many bands can match that history!
Going to see them on Saturday can't wait...seen them a few times but last time was I think 30 years ago at Brixton academy for all dayer inaid of captain Bob Calvert who had sadly passed.
Fond memories of that gig. I remember Simon House playing violin with Nik Turner's All Stars Jazz band. Trev Thoms & Steve Pond trashing out some ICU classics as the Atom Gods. RIP Bob Calvert.
Yes he is. Thighpaulsandra from Coil. He's brilliant, his multimedia art is genius. I saw them last night in Manchester and Thipe was the best thing about the band.
I saw them in Manchester last night. Ive seen them over 200 times and sadly it was one of the most disappointing performances. There were some magic moments but Magnus is a crap singer and his songs are shite.
His voice is weak but apart from Brock Calvert Ron tree HLL they have never been strong in the vocal department and that's been going on since Early 2000 when Alan Davey started doing his gravely Lemmy impersonation.
the dave brock band.... hawkwind's dead/no umph.... ....last good album/s were the alien4 / distant horizons era....shouldn't have got rid of Alan Davey and Ron Tree....Harvey Bainbridge....
Seen them many times , first about 1974. My youngest son 19 is now a big fan too. Keep it up guys, look forward to the next time.
These guys are great!!!

Hawkwind died when Robert Calvert did - he was the heartbeat and the most charismatic singer they ever had, mid 70’s was their heyday
