because animal agriculture is the single most destructive human activity! I like the idea of using wild animals for pest control but the so called solar powered cow is a huge stretch and most of the permaculture community is in denial of this fact. If he did the math of his solar powered cow and worked it out with current demand for milk and meat it would be ludicrous to think it is even remotely sustainable.
