Give me that video of the Roses gig at the Empress Ballroom Blackpool any day. Other than Love Is The Law the other Seahorses songs weren’t that great. The early Roses had funk and Squires guitar wasn’t so overbearing. Don’t get me wrong I used to totally idolise Squire and I wish I could play like him- but good guitar is only good in the context of a good song. People don’t sing lead guitar lines in the shower. Noel Gallagher plays simple guitar parts but they work as part of a good song.
