This man is a hidden gem. Is that how you spell gem? Like the expensive rock thing.
YOU are a hidden gem. and Yes thats correct lol.
I almost spit my coffee out laughing at seeing the floppy nightstick!!!
That review was awesome! I must see this movie now!
Haha I HAD to use the title as many times as I could.
Got a soft spot for cheesy direct to video action flicks like this. The John Woo style action was cheesy awesome
I recommend watchin High Voltage 1997 if you like a nice B movie John woo👌
Also check out "Knock Off" and "Double Team" by Tsui Hark with Van Damme.
@@kabardino1337 added these to the list my friend.
Same
The premise of a cop going undercover in a prison was also used in Death Warrant (1990). The director was played by Charles Napier (R.I.P.) who also played Murdock in Rambo II.
The title feels like they literally took two of seagals movies and jammed them together. And then they tried using the coma thing from hard to kill. I love it
Haha the title had to have been randomly generated
Lmao! I thought this was a seagal
Movie until I started watching
@@humbertolozano2237 hahaha it easily could be
@@humbertolozano2237 I’d say quality and plot line are on par. I did see a guy with a pony tail as well
To be fair, Mr Clean did ask David if he wanted to be the husband or the wife so at least let's give him that.
Also, the shirt idea while great may be liable to get you into some hard justice of your own Redeye
That is fair. Lol he asked more than most inmates would have.
Haha right?! The shirt never made it off the design desk
Great work as always. I wish David Bradley had been more of a Star. He has the talent and the look. ( At least in 1995, don't know how he looks today.)
Thank you!
Right?! I actually love his movies. He could have been a bigger star.
Dude, it needs to go on a shirt. That's Charles Napier. People will understand. That's another great review.
Galaxy 500 might be a reference to a Ford Galaxie 500 which is the name that Ford used to use but stopped using in the early 70s. Also that actor is Vernon Wells! He was in Commando and Mad Max the Road Warrior, its too bad he still didnt have that sweet mohawk. Its also possible that galaxy 500 is a reference to the Adventures of Ford Fairlane from 1990 which also has someone named after a defunct ford name, idk about that.
Oh my God I feel so silly. How did I not see that it was Vernon Wells?!?! It would have made so many better jokes lol.
Maybe that pen on his face really did act like camouflage
Gotta love Galaxy 500 (one of my favorite cars from the '60's and which the psychobilly band Rev. Horton Heat wrote a song about) being played by the same actor who played Bennet in Commando and the crazy mohawk having, chaps and shoulder pad wearing dude in The Road Warrior. And the warden is played by the same character actor who played the scum bag that left Rambo to die in First Blood Part 2.
I can learn how great and special John Woo really was. Other directors can mimic his style, but John Woo always offers something so unique.
This channel deserves WAY more views...... Really entertaining stuff. Keep it up.
My Justice is always hard when a Redeye Video is uploaded
That endfight was close to old cannon films: hero fighting old guy
Hahaha amazing. The Hard puns were WAY too easy to make for this movie
I agree! Cannon loves putting some young stud against an old man, and having it somehow be a tough fight
@@RedEyeReviews let me beat up these 5 guys without breaking a sweat...oh no there come old man...shit is getting real now
@@A_Toastonawhiteplate hahaha exactly
RedEye, great review as always. That stunt guy looked like he broke his ankles when he jumped from the helicopter to the bus. Do you watch these movies via streaming service? Or do you have physical copies or digital copies?
For real! It wasn't the smoothest landing out there.
I watch them all ways. Some of these older ones I have to buy dvds off Ebay. Some I get lucky and find on a streaming service.
David is One of my favorite actors and i tell you why. He is really skilled in real life. True master of martial arts. Beautiful and technical style.
Superb work as always sir! Just have to address the word "Escape", there is no X sound in it mate.....Segal told me to say it so take it up with him during one of many lunches of any given day.
Lol I know I know. It's my bad habit
"I will have order!!", lol. I'd totally buy that shirt.
Never piss off a plumber. One of the best pieces of advice, ever.
Bro they bit the shit outta hard boiled in the beginning scene lmaoooooo
The thing I want to know is the but where Bradley meets the squid in the yard what is the guard doing over squids right shoulder looks like he's taking a selfie 🤣🤣
Hahah. That's amazing
@10:47 omg you realizing how the t shirt idea would be perceived had me rolling.. lol..... Your channel is gold. Just signed up as a mid tier patron.
Oh that was you! Thank you So much!
As someone else suggested, this movie has serious John Woo going on. It's budget Woo. Everybody pointing guns at everyone. Sliding in directions while double wielding. The intro "lone cop" INT - STANDARD ACTION MOVIE WAREHOUSE - DAY shootout. The huge action sequence at the end. The Hospital shootout in "Hard Boiled" (Woo's best, IMHO) goes on forever. They probably wanted to call it "The Hard Boiled Killer".
IMDb on the director:
"(Greg) Yaitanes is currently producing and directing the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon, for HBO."
Lots and lots of TV (especially House)
Wikipedia: "He is also an angel investor in Twitter"
This is his first real thing. It seems like he knows how absurd this is.
Oh dang. I had no idea the director was doing so well after this one. That's awesome
Hello RedEye, thanks for the great review! The warden is Charles Napier - seemed like he was everywhere for a while. Maybe best known as one of Hannibal Lecter's luckless guards in "Silence of the Lambs." I don't think I've seen him play any really bonkers, over-the-top character like this before - seemed like he was having fun!
Ooooo good call out. I haven't seen Silence of the Lambs in a LONG time, but I agree. He seemed to have a ton of fun in this role and it shows
@@RedEyeReviews Oh wow, I just read his IMDb bio, sounds like he had WAY more fun in real life than onscreen. Everything from Russ Meyer nudie flicks to the Blues Brothers. He passed away a few years ago but he really lived it up. I love stumbling across unexpected lives like that.
@@parisgreen4600 oh that is so cool. I agree, i love coming across secret treasures like that. his Wiki page says him and his wife went on Dr.Phil to talk about his obsession with fame, and how he always wanted to be a "Big" super star, but never felt his roles were that big. Interesting. I hope he would have liked knowing he is a star in ol'Redeyes eye
@@RedEyeReviews Yup - the man needs a commemorative T-shirt, even though it's not "I will have order!" I'm sure he would have gotten a kick out of being remembered.
Best known for Rambo and Blue Brothers you mean.
Back in the day loosing your Zippo was the equivalent of loosing one air bud...lol
And yes Zippo’s were very leaky (a had just filled mine then I light it and shake it a little my hand was immediately covered in fuel and caught on fire...lol), they actually would dry out if you don’t use it a lot
Great shirt idea. I do understand why you don't do it
haha maybe in another year
Because order is racist.
Funny that nowadays all these 80's action titles now being used as a spoof action in say tribute movies or videogame.
1:19 he's the Dollar Store Chow Yun-Fat!
Hahahah brilliant
I call movie characters like the warden a Garey Busey
Lol there is an entire category of people called Gary Buseys
This is one of your best
Thank you so much! I agree!
This has been your best work
I had my first taste of Haggis made by my French chef on Burns night. It was delicious.
🙌🏾HERE WE GO BABY🙌🏾 I love cheezy 80/90’s action flicks but no time to watch’em all…this is where Red’Eye comes in!
Lets go! So glad I can help you get your fix
The basic setup of this movie reminded me of JCVD's own 'Death Warrant,' which hopefully will be reviewed at some point. (Also, a new mid-tier patron, and happy to be so.)
Oh Death Warrant for sure! Thank you so much for the suggestion and the patronage :)
Floppy nightstick! “Not Hard Justice” 2!! Coming soon to Disney 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥 as always!!
I thought I recognized that bad guy at the end who gets blown up when the grenade he’s holding is shot. He’s the guy that played Chozen, the main bad guy in karate kid II. It is a shame movies in the nineties were really crying out for Japanese American villains because he was really really good at playing that sort of role
Oooo Karate Kid II. Now I want to watch that.
@@RedEyeReviews it’s good. I had I lot of fun watching it
@@unstoppableExodia it's been a VERY long time since I have seen it.
One of the Steve movie titles from the random Seagal movie title generator I found online was ‘Hardened Justice’. So, yeah.
The Warden is a Judge Dredd (2000 a.d.) fill-in, look at the strong chin!). The death of Squid is from Longest Yard.
13:58, Huff'n Glue & Snort'n Cocaine boys
The secret receipe of film makers
Ha ha this movie wants to be hard-boiled so bad. The John Woo influences are everywhere.
Love this DTV movie. David Bradley was a good action guy back in the day. American Samurai is his best movie, Will you review it in the future?? Also will you be reviewing any Dolph lundgren movies??
Ooo American Samurai. Consider it on the list.
And absolutely Dolph is on the list for sure
@@RedEyeReviews Great, cheers 👍
Why would you want to escape from jail? There are just too many grenades on the outside, dang it!
15:04 those sound effects made me think they were gonna start playing Bad by Michael Jackson lol.
Well now I want to see a sequel called "Floppy Justice"
Name of movie looks like some of big karate master Steven seagal's movie titles.
Oh it could easily be a Seagal movie title lol
Dude I been a fan of yours for so long, Content is top Notch thank you. Do you have a patreon?
Aww thank you! I do! If it's not in this videos description it's definitely in my newer videos. So glad you enjoy the videos
mega. I'm looking on ebay for the dvd now.
its definitely on there. there are some great EBAY DvD people
Clearly they watched a lot of John Woo films before doing this one. There are some actors in it that we recognize. :)
I need to get on the John Woo train soon
When I saw Bennet (Vernon Wells) from Commando in it, I know I am going to have to track this one down. :D
@@RedEyeReviews And yes John Woo movies would be awesome in this format and review style.
That metal gear line! 🤣🤣🤣
Old white dual wielding guns!!!! 😂😂😂
These movies feel like fevers dreams
Tell me about it lol
This is your best work
@Redeye,
DO YOU KNOW WHAT "ON" A TRAIN COSTS? They're still paying off Under Siege 1!!!
Keep up the great work
A random request, if you ever see this dude, I think Blade would make a good video. I mean, Snipes is basically the black Seagal
14:31 That's not a nightstick but rather a imbiguous bedside toy
Hahaha. For real, it totally could be. It moves like one
I knew that Galaxie 500 was a band name, but now I'm confused: during my double check I saw there are (were) two: a Canadian Francophone from early 00s and an united statetian one. Judging by my memory and my consumption of MTV's alternative video clips back in the 00s, I think it's the Canadian one.
HOWEVER: this only raise questions! Why are there two bands with this peculiar name? Why was a character named like this? Are there any relationship between them all? Since one of the bands date from late 80s and early 90s, was the screen writers trying to communicate something to artsy filmmakers, as a kind of "seeeee! I'm cool!! Hire me!"? Or is this some kind of subliminal message we are missing?
Is that the bad guy from Karate Kid II. I'm speaking of the Man Made of Grenades
Brooo this Movie is an Underrated Gem lol🤣. This movie is like a lil John Woo mix with Van Damme Death Warrant🤔. Nu Image is like the Cannon films of the 90s
Right?! I thought it was a great movie. Surprised I had never seen it before doing this video.
Maybe we need to find more Nu Image movies
Zippo lighters are overrated. I didn’t even bother with one when I had a cigar habit: butane with a catalyst to guarantee a not-sooty blue flame. Even Zippo makes butane lighters now and sells butane under their brand name.
I’m pretty sure someone drew balls over that man’s eyebrow!
Director Greg Yaitanes is an underrated filmmaker who should have gotten better opportunities though.
He doesn't have hard justice. He IS hard justice. Lol
Wait... I already watched this movie... with JCVD... lol.
As a "man of color"
...I still endorse an "I Want Order" shirt 🤷🏽♂️
Escaping prison adds more time you can do it but if you get cought
Its best to do your time and leave
very funny review.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Definitely one of my favorites. 😅
I want that shirt 💪💪💪
Yea I knew how to escape but I kept getting into trouble and thrown back in here.
Pinface 5000 is Bennet from Commando. 😂
Shame he wasn't able to egg-scape the prison! Lol
Agreed! Real shame
Rockhard morning 😂💀
Great Value Hard Boiled.
I don't want to know why they call him mr. clean...
Lol gross
@@RedEyeReviews i need an adult!
Wait I was in the core not corps. I was a core driller. Ok, so back to fighting. Lmao
you need to do that shirt
This movie is literally the same as Death Warrant starring Jean Claude himself
Amazingly funny as usual....
Someone must have seen Hard Boiled... then Death Warrant... lol
This is like store brand John Woo.
I WILL HAVE ORDER!!! 😂😂😂
1:45
Your Zippo is not up to Zippo standards then.
Deadpool movie stole the shooting the grenade in the bad guys hand then it explodes scene.
This movie was directed by a stuntman ….can you tell. !??
Imo this guy had a good look & is a good martial artist but his acting wasn’t to good. That wouldn’t even be to bad but he doesn’t even make it up in charisma.
Ummmm.....those are the biggest jail cells
I'd buy the "I will have order" t-shirt... fuck cancel culture!
Reminds me of Face Off
Galaxie 500 is a car.
7:27 xD
are you sure that was a zippo and not a newborn puppy?
Floppy nightstick! “Not Hard Justice” 2!! Coming soon to Disney 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥 as always!!
