Fastest way to find diamonds for me is find the level lava pools spawn and dig straight forward one direction, mine 3 blocks left or right and mine back the way you came, repeating that system. You should have two blocks between each hallway you mine. Doing this is also great for all other ores. Just make sure your mined paths always come to the point or room you mined your stairway to the surface
There are generaly not many tips on that, the tips that i can give u is that diamons are found on Y: 5 - 12 from my expiriance i find the most at Y:9 or 8 and sometimes u will get lucky and find more then 1 root of diamonds in a chunk and sometimes there will be no diamonds in 10 chunks, its all in luck

There were many mistakes that would actually be a disadvantage in this video, such as trapdoor strip mining and night vision. Trapdoor strip mining makes you miss quite a lot of diamonds above your head and regular strip mining is way better. You don't need night vision to perfectly see underwater, all you need is to press F5 or whatever button to go third person depending on what you play and go into third-person mode, then position your camera in a certain way and you will see everything underwater. Don't mine straight down, either, as well... that's just not very smart. Branch mining can get you much more ores but if you are set on diamonds, use subtitles to tell when monsters or lava is nearby (sorry Bedrock players). Hope this helped!
trapdoor strip mining is more worth it cuz you are exposed to three layers, but with regular strip mining you use up twice your pickaxe durability just to be exposed to 1 more layer.

the safer way to dig straight down: just mine a block right next to you and just mine straight down while also mining the block beside you but for this to work you need to stand in the middle of the two blocks then just mine so if something pops up on one side you can avoid it by standing on the other block you havent mined yet.
pro tip: if you are on pc press F3 and look somewhere on the left side it will tell you where you are looking. Example: North East South or west. you can also find your X Y and Z there. Hope this helped someone out there, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong c:

The fastest way: 1. Find a clay patch in water and go to the middle 2. Face south and go 6 or 7 blocks away from the middle 3. Dig down to y12 or bedrock and mine around. GUARANTEED DIAMONDS
i've seen a video about that and it depends on the world seed, the biome and the size of the clay patch if u find diamonds or not. Also if u hit chunk border when u got 6 or 7 blocks away u need to count further from the other side of the same chunk. I find the same method but with lapis way better. if u find lapis u mine 4 blocks to the south and then down to find diamonds and this doesnt depend on the seed or biome. u do however have to go to the other side of the chunk just like the clay method.
