To make each secret entrance into the next base more protected, I would add a full exit to each room. So that in each base if they find it, they can use the exit and never realize there was more base to find.
Nah, you have to add the exit to like the 3rd base because if every base has an exit it becomes less surprising but if only one base has it then you can trick someone much easier.
You should make something like this on the hermitcraft server, where there’s a prizes at the end for finding everything out, but a hermit has to pay to go in for a certain amount of time!!
That's honestly the reason I never particularly bothered with hidden bases. Because it's Minecraft, and if someone wanted to get in, they can easily do so just by mining blocks. Plus, if they don't know your base is nearby and they're just mining, they could accidentally run into it and destroy some of your redstone circuits.
I love the fact that it is so well hidden, but anyone just randomly digging up dirt could still find your "most secure" room completely by chance. Pretty amazing.

Im more impressed that he was not only able to end it with a single layer of dirt concealing it, but that the exit itself was about as close as it possibly could have ever been to the entrance. The redstone was cool too.

The castle itself was really simplistic, a mostly underground cobblestone-lined affair with a basic layout, and the entrance to the secret room was hidden behind one of the sets of bookshelves around the enchanting table. To open it you had to rotate one of the item frames and THEN open one of the chests, which was actually a trapped chest.
The curious people will be the luckiest. They might just dig the dirt around the cave entrance and find the diamond room first, before finding all the other ones.
A cool idea for an exit for the final room is to take a bubble column up, and have a slime block launcher covered by a door that launches you into a nearby pond. I love these types of videos, would love to see more!
This gave me an idea: you should make a redstone escape room. Obviously it’s a room with hints filled throughout it that tell the player what to do to open a secret door that leads to the next part of the room or something along those lines. Could be fun and would definitely be a good watch.

The entire video was super fun, I think it would be really awesome to have hidden rooms within hidden rooms within hidden rooms, the only two things I think would make this even better: 1. Although the ending was super funny, I would at least not put it next to the primary entrance, since I feel like someone who wanted to find your base and found the (approximate) location of the first room could accidentally end up in the final room by mistake. 2. The rooms should have a way to retrurn to the previous room, so if you want to show someone part of your build, you can without having to reveal every single secret just to get them out.

If you can, though, make a 1.5x1 opening (with a plank on the top) behind a big painting so you can only get in crouch walking in the right place. That minimizes people accidentally walking in or trying to find the entrance if they dont know where it is. Also put up lots of decoy paintings.

But you’re playing in adventure mode. You wouldn’t be able to mine the diamonds anyways
@@FatherManN when i said "adventure mode", i meant you're playing an adventure map where you can get an iron pickaxe which allow you to break the diamonds but you have to go through all the rooms
