Jordan is my favorite drummer ever but to be fair questlove wasn't even expecting to be playing. He literally learned the tracks on his way to the garden. I'd love to see more work with John and questlove.
Love Steve Jordan, especially in the more energetic blues/rock songs and I also really like Aaron Sterling (really nice with the more mellow songs like on Born and Raised or Paradise Valley)
Drumming for over 30 years, and. Imho in order: Steve Jordan - hands down Keith Carlock and Questlove and JJ Johnson respectively 2nd and 2nd and 2nd. Lol! All top drummers really. John Mayer has great musicality all around!
Steve Jordan hands down, he laid the blueprint. JJ Johnson is the next best as he is able to interpret Steve’s loose feel.

Steve is my favorite drummer of all. But JJ’s playing with Mayer is unbeatable in some moments !!
