As my feedback I’d say 10/10, very impressive thinking and cooperation, and not like the “can you beat dark souls using “x” weapon” because 98% of the time if it does at least 1 damage it means it’s beatable, but this is really good because it needs actual thinking and effort to beat the challenge, even as a game veteran in both the game and it’s questionable exploits I still managed to learn something new 🙏

Wow. I've never seen this game torn apart this hard before. Impressive stuff. Taking over 5 hours to reach Midir just to die must have been soul crushing, curious if you stack enough health/defense/fire resistance if he could have landed his grab on you to pull you through the wall into the arena to fight him normally? Better for controlling the fight and not being clipped by his AOE's like that? Assuming his grab is even survive-able in the first place, it's very brutal.
Unfortunately grabs just don't connect through walls, or even if you're backed up against the wall on the same side as the boss. This is also why the Iudex Gundyr skip only works on old patch, because this wall check for grabs didn't exist back then.
@@tor_aop4478 I guess that makes sense. Though enemies in these games have always had an unfair amount of privilege swinging through walls and not bouncing off. I imagine there's a rare scenario where Midir's head clips just right to snatch you, but the sheer amount of luck and perfect positioning that would take would be just plain inefficient compared to the WoG strategy.
This is a really hardcore challenge run for someone who hasn't played through the dlc regularly yet. Really in depth and crazy use of glitches too. Well done.
In my opinion, the challenge is "Can you beat them all in alphabetical order?". It doesn't say anything about not repeating any fights. I think it's quite alright to defeat King of the Storm and then leave the arena after Nameless King appears. You beat King of the Storm and will simply beat it again when you need to. Technically, you already did this following your feedback from the DS2 video (which I plan to watch as soon as I am finished here) with Champion's Gravetender/Gravetender's Greatwolf. If one wanted to be super pedantic, since a Player version of Spear of the Church is a different boss from Halflight, it could be argued it should have been part of the list. I disagree with that train of thought, but it's not entirely unjustified. All in all, what a grand undertaking, and props to you for this absolute campaign!
I'm cool with all sorts of glitches and exploits, and using older versions of the game, and even having friends join in to help you out, but IMO using additional save files, unless that save file Also follows the rules of a challenge run, invalidates the challenge. You can't say you beat all the bosses in alphabetical order if one of the required steps is "then beat any bosses you want in whatever order you want, IDC." Even if it's on a different save, it's still beating those bosses out of order. Come to think of it, the Friend who is assisting's save should Probably also follow the challenge run rules. If you Can't do it without the assistance of someone who isn't following the rules, then you can't do it while following those rules. Like, imagine a challenge run of "Don't press A" and you just pass the controller to your buddy to press it for you. Still, good job, an insane amount of research and effort clearly went into this, even if it isn't quite as strict as I'd like it to be.
Logistically its no different from Lego Star Wars where 2 Jedi lift each other with the Force. Speaking of which I would love a Lego game with Soulsborne gameplay. The Anor Londo bridge lever is already straight out a Lego game anyway.

Seeing how you tackled and change the rules to make the run as legitimate as possible was a point of interest for me. I cant believe a 1 hour long video was this much fun to watch. This is one of the best videos I've ever seen. The commentary was spot on. Massive congrats on such a well crafted video. Truly I have no other words to say except Hats off.
ive seen some crazy playthroughs involving glitches, so i went through the bosses in my head alphabetically as i watched the video and i was like "... okay so, gundyr is an instant problem, but you can probably do some really dumb tear skips later on, but what about those bosses with ports?" and wow, the sheer insanity and the amount of glitches requires is just crazy, not to mention the SIXTY HOUR staircase it would take in theory. The most creative uses of glitches used in playthrough ive seen of DS3 yet, maybe ever, i guess we'll let yamfah be the final judge of that
If it's multiple phases boss fight it shouldn't make a difference whether it's a different enemy or not. Like if you die at ANY point of any of the health bars and then you have to start the entire thing over then I think it should be considered one boss, regardless if you're fighting a different enemy or not. Same with the demons and nameless, I think they should be just like Fride, for all intents and purposes they ARE the same boss, like you could argue lore wise they aren't but ffs we're breaking every conceivable law of physics during this run using evil enemy invaders to help us run through the world in a half dead state, I don't think arguing lore is even remotely valid XD
The concept of forming a human ladder in order to reach a high point is reminiscent of the Sword Art Online: Fairy Dance arc, in which five players attempted to climb the ALfheim world tree by standing on each other's shoulders
When I saw the Midir bit take 5 hours I thought that was insane enough, but to get to Soul of Cinder is genuinely insane. The dedication is ridiculous. This was an awesome conclusion to the Dark Souls All Bosses in Alphabetical Order!
Lore wise when you fight king of the storm its just the dragon you kill and then the nameless king absorbs the power from his drake. So if you wanted to do alphabetically you kill king of the storm and then warp out and continue.
wait aldrich oh this is gonna be rough hang on how do you get around coiled sword? I can get skipping a boss, but firelink isnt active until you put the sword in. Unless the sword is actually pointless, and isn't required to do it. Which would be weird, given stuff like the basin at dancer exists LMAO THEY DON'T CHECK
Very simply put, the coiled sword is already in your inventory when you initiate the Gundyr boss, but doesn't register that you have it until you beat the boss.
honestly, i would fully accept someone using hacks to reach the kiln for a copy of this run. it's proven possible to reach the kiln ordinarily, but it takes so ridiculously long to do so that it's whatever
i didnt actually know that firelink shrine and the untended grave actually were the same place just with different load triggers, i always thought firelink was just really far away without anything attached to it
This is one ymfah sounding video and I'm all for it. I've never actually seen your channel before but I'm happy to know you made DS1 and 2 videos for the same challenge. Binge time!
18:50 fun fact: the damage from the laa is directional, so you can actually use a shield to defend from the daamge of the lava and then come back. ...well, try to, as you ight have to chug estus at one point, hopefully you got enough to survive the trip back.
27:19 You can actually activate the lift on Pontiff's arena by going through the other entrance by the deacons. That allows you to come back if you die with teardropping by just using the lift to go to Aldritch. And there is also a Bonfire behind an illusory wall on the first tower after Pontiff. But I understand that it would require you to kill both Pontiff Beasts, and that would be suboptimal.
What an absolutely incredible video. I thought I was pretty familiar with Dark Souls glitches, but you showed some things in here I've never seen before. As other people have said, my jaw dropped when you were going over some of the glitches, particularly the Midir and early Kiln parts. I know you said the skip to Midir footage was 5 hours, but do you have an idea of the total amount of footage you had to go through to put this together? Or how many hours your character had by the end of it? It would be very interesting I think!
this is crazy. after seeing your other two videos i thought to myself if this is possible and tried to find ways myself but didnt manage to. well done!
The effort put into this, let alone the insanity of even *finding* the methods to do *any* of this, is mind blowing! EDIT: Concerning the Nameless King shenanigans....IMO it is viable to defeat "King of the Storm" again to reach "Nameless King", given that KotS was already cleared off the list. You are truly insane!
This series was the first time I watched the entire thing streamed live, and it’s so cool to watch it back here in edited form! Always nice, relaxed and friendly, with very consistent chat interaction. I already watch everything that uploads to this channel, but now I watch every NGPlus stream series live as well! Legitimately one of my favorite channels on here.
This is the most disgustingly complicated set of skips I have ever seen in a game. I thought the initial teardrop glitching was complex, but the Midir and Soul of Cinder accesses were on a whole other level.
It feels like I've just watched a quantum physics course for 3 years of learning lmao I've gotten into souls games through Elden Ring and thought its glitches were crazy, but no. This one. Yeah. I'm mindblown how nonsensical and plentiful glitches are in DS3 This is absolute masterpiece of game knowledge, i give you my applause
You and me both bro. I watched this video over the course of 3 days because HOLY FUCK I did not have the capacity to even remotely follow this all in one sitting💀
Is the lady before the dancer innocent? She always struck me as up to something. Certainly less innocent than the poor blind girl you doomed with the dark miracles.
This is insane. The amount of patience is incredible. Well done. I do wonder if Midir's grab could help bypass the solid walls outside his arena. He does throw you pretty far after he grabs you, maybe it could be used to clip into the arena if you survive the grab.
38:52 boosted by 34.4%, not 32%, I believe. Unless it's different in DS3 (but I'm pretty sure it's not), damage buffs are multiplicative, so it's 1.2*1.12 = 1.344 = 34.4%, not 20% + 12% = 32%
For a while ive seen this video recommended to me, not reading the title and just thinking "why is this constantly being recommended to me?" Only ro finally read the title and go "oh, now i know why. Well played, youtube."
IMO, if you've already beaten a boss in a multi-boss fight (ie, Champion's Gravetender) then killing the earlier boss again (to fight Gravetender Greatwolf) is perfectly acceptable, since you've already killed it in the greater alphabetical order. Similarly, i think killing King of the Storm for the purpose of killing Nameless King is acceptable

Doubtless, that human staircase thing is one of the craziest things ever pulled off in the history of gaming.
The amount of cooperative gamebreaking had to be done just to finish this game as a dictionary is perfect lmao
The most creative uses of glitches used in playthrough ive seen of DS3 yet, maybe ever, i guess we'll let yamfah be the final judge of that
"breaks the game on half effortlessly"
"cant beat Sister friede whitout Summons" this dude is built different
A part of my soul physically hurt when you died to Midir and had to repeat it allllll again
I can not imagine the sheer scale of this if done in Elden Ring. But hey, great job in all three Dark Souls
I absolutely love how guide-like these videos are. It's actually so nice that everything is explained. Love that.
Someone needs to cut this trilogy so every boss in the series is in alphabetical order.
This challenge in english: 😊
This challenge in spanish: 💀
For anyone confused Soul of Cinder is Alma de ceniza.
When I saw the Midir bit take 5 hours I thought that was insane enough, but to get to Soul of Cinder is genuinely insane. The dedication is ridiculous.
This was an awesome conclusion to the Dark Souls All Bosses in Alphabetical Order!
31:26 "It's just the opening is too high up to reach from down here... Or is it?"
*Vsauce music plays*
I knew you could glitch to some places but I had no clue you could do this much. Amazing run NGPlus and amazing video!
You are absolutely insane. Just like the dude that helped with planning.
Lore wise when you fight king of the storm its just the dragon you kill and then the nameless king absorbs the power from his drake. So if you wanted to do alphabetically you kill king of the storm and then warp out and continue.
I'd pay money to see Mayazakis reaction to this
Miyazaki: "Why?"
wait aldrich
oh this is gonna be rough
hang on how do you get around coiled sword? I can get skipping a boss, but firelink isnt active until you put the sword in. Unless the sword is actually pointless, and isn't required to do it. Which would be weird, given stuff like the basin at dancer exists
LMAO THEY DON'T CHECK
😏
Very simply put, the coiled sword is already in your inventory when you initiate the Gundyr boss, but doesn't register that you have it until you beat the boss.
Pros to Tor ZH . That man is a legend
Thanks man!
honestly, i would fully accept someone using hacks to reach the kiln for a copy of this run. it's proven possible to reach the kiln ordinarily, but it takes so ridiculously long to do so that it's whatever
miyazaki would cry if he watched this
i didnt actually know that firelink shrine and the untended grave actually were the same place just with different load triggers, i always thought firelink was just really far away without anything attached to it
This is one ymfah sounding video and I'm all for it. I've never actually seen your channel before but I'm happy to know you made DS1 and 2 videos for the same challenge. Binge time!
Okay, I wasn't around for the Midir days, and while I've seen some absolute nonsense on this channel that might just take the 10-hour cake.
the amount of effort and time that went into this is insane
18:50 fun fact: the damage from the laa is directional, so you can actually use a shield to defend from the daamge of the lava and then come back.
...well, try to, as you ight have to chug estus at one point, hopefully you got enough to survive the trip back.
OMG this is truly deranged teardrop glitching, I LOVE IT :)
This video is so cool, thanks for making this.
"this is the first time I'd played the DLC" lmao what a legendary run.
Get this man the elden ring dlc he's going crazy
If you’re doing this run on Playstation… is it possible to beat Bloodborne alphabetically too?
this is crazy. after seeing your other two videos i thought to myself if this is possible and tried to find ways myself but didnt manage to.
well done!
I’m 17 minutes in and I have no earthly idea how half this shit was figured out.
This is an absolutely insane run. Well done.
This is like if ymfah actually talked in his videos... but even crazier glitches
This is how i will make my son learn how to alphabet works
The megamind levels of glitches and set up for this run is insane. Dude has the game pretty much dissected long before he fights the first boss
After such a run, NGPlus and Tor are the Demon in Pain and Demon from Below.
This series was the first time I watched the entire thing streamed live, and it’s so cool to watch it back here in edited form! I usually don’t watch streams because they’re either incredibly boring or the host is too hyper, but Nathan is a perfect host imo. Always nice, relaxed and friendly, with very consistent chat interaction.
I already watch everything that uploads to this channel, but now I watch every NGPlus stream series live as well! Legitimately one of my favorite channels on here.
Thanks a lot, you made my day 😀
@NGPlusVideos do you guys stream on RUclips also? :)
Yeah, all the challenge runs are streamed on this channel, the VODs are in playlists.
This is the most disgustingly complicated set of skips I have ever seen in a game. I thought the initial teardrop glitching was complex, but the Midir and Soul of Cinder accesses were on a whole other level.
It feels like I've just watched a quantum physics course for 3 years of learning lmao
I've gotten into souls games through Elden Ring and thought its glitches were crazy, but no. This one. Yeah. I'm mindblown how nonsensical and plentiful glitches are in DS3
This is absolute masterpiece of game knowledge, i give you my applause
You and me both bro. I watched this video over the course of 3 days because HOLY FUCK I did not have the capacity to even remotely follow this all in one sitting💀
This is truly one of the best challenge run videos I have ever seen! Legendary!
Hope we get DeS or bloodborne next 😁
Is the lady before the dancer innocent? She always struck me as up to something. Certainly less innocent than the poor blind girl you doomed with the dark miracles.
This must have taken lot of time to record😅 Thanks for the content!
Unless it's different in DS3 (but I'm pretty sure it's not), damage buffs are multiplicative, so it's 1.2*1.12 = 1.344 = 34.4%, not 20% + 12% = 32%
I used to think people were crazy just for playing darksouls...
Your invader friend needs a credit for all that shit he went through
"Can you beat all Dark Souls 3 bosses in alphabetical order?" "Well no, but technically yes."
Im subscribing just because of that insane Midir stuff
For a while ive seen this video recommended to me, not reading the title and just thinking "why is this constantly being recommended to me?" Only ro finally read the title and go "oh, now i know why. Well played, youtube."
IMO, if you've already beaten a boss in a multi-boss fight (ie, Champion's Gravetender) then killing the earlier boss again (to fight Gravetender Greatwolf) is perfectly acceptable, since you've already killed it in the greater alphabetical order. Similarly, i think killing King of the Storm for the purpose of killing Nameless King is acceptable
