The concept of forming a human ladder in order to reach a high point is reminiscent of the Sword Art Online: Fairy Dance arc, in which five players attempted to climb the ALfheim world tree by standing on each other's shoulders
27:19 You can actually activate the lift on Pontiff's arena by going through the other entrance by the deacons. That allows you to come back if you die with teardropping by just using the lift to go to Aldritch. And there is also a Bonfire behind an illusory wall on the first tower after Pontiff. But I understand that it would require you to kill both Pontiff Beasts, and that would be suboptimal.
I've seen teardrop used in quite a few YMFAH videos, but this takes it to a whole new level. That soul of cinder glitch is insane, huge props to the people who found that
Teardrop in the Profane Capitol brought back memories of ymfah's DS3 No Walking vid, and then you took it to the next level with the midir and soul of cinder routes. Truly crazy what the community can do when they put their minds to it.
Wow. I've never seen this game torn apart this hard before. Impressive stuff. Taking over 5 hours to reach Midir just to die must have been soul crushing, curious if you stack enough health/defense/fire resistance if he could have landed his grab on you to pull you through the wall into the arena to fight him normally? Better for controlling the fight and not being clipped by his AOE's like that? Assuming his grab is even survive-able in the first place, it's very brutal.
Unfortunately grabs just don't connect through walls, or even if you're backed up against the wall on the same side as the boss. This is also why the Iudex Gundyr skip only works on old patch, because this wall check for grabs didn't exist back then.
@@tor_ds I guess that makes sense. Though enemies in these games have always had an unfair amount of privilege swinging through walls and not bouncing off. I imagine there's a rare scenario where Midir's head clips just right to snatch you, but the sheer amount of luck and perfect positioning that would take would be just plain inefficient compared to the WoG strategy.
I love everything about this video. It's Dark Souls, it's very well made, and has extremely in-depth explanations about the glitches, what you need for them and how to perform them best. 10.1 / 10
If it's multiple phases boss fight it shouldn't make a difference whether it's a different enemy or not. Like if you die at ANY point of any of the health bars and then you have to start the entire thing over then I think it should be considered one boss, regardless if you're fighting a different enemy or not. Same with the demons and nameless, I think they should be just like Fride, for all intents and purposes they ARE the same boss, like you could argue lore wise they aren't but ffs we're breaking every conceivable law of physics during this run using evil enemy invaders to help us run through the world in a half dead state, I don't think arguing lore is even remotely valid XD
you get a sub for the dedication. big fan of weird runs like this that abuse the game completely to do random arbitrary things, the complexity is amazing to me. the torture of the midir setup i could basically taste the sadness
Is the lady before the dancer innocent? She always struck me as up to something. Certainly less innocent than the poor blind girl you doomed with the dark miracles.
Fantastic run, well done!! Loved learning about the glitches. Appreciate the how dedicated the community is too. Idk if anyone else mentioned this though, and correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe there is a hidden bonfire below the tower past Pontiff pre-Anor Londo, you’d just have to defeat two of the giant lizard-dog monsters to access it. Probably would’ve helped that run back, but it was still highly entertaining.

Edit: While he didn’t do it in this video, the community who found out about this skip actually did it
The amount of times my jaw fully dropped watching this video. I'm totally in awe of what you and the ds community accomplished here. This was seriously fascinating. All the ds videos I've ever watched I've never seen anything this complicated. That ending 60hr skip what the hell. Amazing! 👏
it was literally yesterday that i thought it was due time for another video, and i even thought it was due time for the ds3 run. insane it was dropped right after that. absolutely love this content thank you
The concept of forming a human ladder in order to reach a high point is reminiscent of the Sword Art Online: Fairy Dance arc, in which five players attempted to climb the ALfheim world tree by standing on each other's shoulders
This was complete insanity. Well done, well done
That soul of cinder glitch is insane, huge props to the people who found that
The megamind levels of glitches and set up for this run is insane. Dude has the game pretty much dissected long before he fights the first boss
@@tor_ds
I guess that makes sense.
This is artwork! Magnificent!
"breaks the game on half effortlessly"
"cant beat Sister friede whitout Summons" this dude is built different
absolutely insane video, genuinely can't believe that this is actually completely possible to do
By the Gods he returns, Papa Plus graces us with his art yet again.
So glad I was here to see this one live. Well done!
Invader friend is the mvp 😊
Fantastic video. I love how you explain this in a way like any sane person would attempt this afterwards
the amount of effort and time that went into this is insane
This has been the most impressive challenge run I've seen on your channel yet! The effort you put in has not gone unnoticed either. Very well done 👏
The amount of cooperative gamebreaking had to be done just to finish this game as a dictionary is perfect lmao
Oh my gosh... I think I´ve never waited so eagerly for a Dark Souls video (except maybe the Backlogs-Contest). So exciteddd 😱😱😱
Pros to Tor ZH . That man is a legend
Thanks man!
The amount of effort put into this video is just mind-blowing. This needs WAYYY more views ngl
Get this man the elden ring dlc he's going crazy
I love everything about this video. It's Dark Souls, it's very well made, and has extremely in-depth explanations about the glitches, what you need for them and how to perform them best. 10.1 / 10
I'd pay money to see Mayazakis reaction to this
Miyazaki: "Why?"
Man, this might be the best video of a souls game I have ever seen. New sub
miyazaki would cry if he watched this
This is awesome! I’m amazed at all the glitches that are shown.
This is like if ymfah actually talked in his videos... but even crazier glitches
You can really see the true beauty of the levels when viewing them from all these unintended angles!
Breathtaking :)
Maybe the craziest run you've ever done, and it's ACTUALLY POSSIBLE! Congratulations man!
thanks the waiting has paied off, incredible, i cant beginn to think how much time you and the team spent on researching and execution, thanks a lot
Someone needs to cut this trilogy so every boss in the series is in alphabetical order.
Phenomenal job, from all involved! :D This was a delight to watch on stream.
Thank you for watching this and for being there during the streams, it's very motivating :)
This challenge in english: 😊
This challenge in spanish: 💀
For anyone confused Soul of Cinder is Alma de ceniza.
you get a sub for the dedication. big fan of weird runs like this that abuse the game completely to do random arbitrary things, the complexity is amazing to me. the torture of the midir setup i could basically taste the sadness
This is one of the best challenge run videos I've ever seen, especially the 60 hour human staircase. Genius. Thanks to the youtube algorithm for recommending this to me, I'm immediately diving into your back catalogue to watch everything else you've ever made.
The amount of dedication in this video is beyond commendable, truly incredible.
Absolutely Outstanding! You guys put so much time and effort into this very, very entertaining and educational video. Kudos to your dedication!!
This video is criminally underrated bro…. Seriously. This is remarkable stuff
Thank you 😊
It's simply amazing, have been following you since the first DS video and watching this video with the tears of joy
Even the fact, that you, one way or another, cooperated with the ZOG (one of our popular challenges content creator) was so shocking!!!!
I really liked the hole series,
Love you and congrats, I guess I can say "we finally beat the game in alph order" as many of us have been following🎉🎉🎉
