Grats on the EAF! Autofocus is one of those game changers. Now you can leave your mount unattended all night and have confidence it will remain in focus. :)
Thanks for sharing your experience, mine is similar. I've been using a bahtinov mask for the past few years with good results. I've been telling myself that I don't need an EAF; BUT during my last session, I decided to do a 5 hour autorun and found that my focus changed and pretty much ruined most of my images. I now have an EAF, haven't tried it yet though. I guess all it takes is one lost night to convince me.
Very nice little Vid Jonathan … have had the same reluctance as you did , but I can see the worry free advantage…,especially with changing temperatures
COOL vid! Very tempted to get one. That was all done in the ASI app on iPad or something? Can it remember focus points? I have a SCT and sometimes use a Hyperstar so the focus is a lot of twiddling between visual and Hyperstar config.
I'm the exact opposite of you. I just bought one with no telescope for it yet! :P Still looking for a proper refractor and decent DSO astro cam. After that, I'll need to upgrade my az gti eq mod mount.
Another astrophotographer ruined indefinitely lol! Once you go EAF, you never go back. I did the same as you man. Kept ignoring it. It makes life so much easier. Enjoy your videos. Keep making them and I’ll keep watching them. Clear skies.
Well said!!! But, I rid of all ZWO equipment, especially ASAir after 4-6 months starting hobby. Main attractions of ASAir and ZWO are price and easy to use. Drawbacks are limited flexibility and definitely quality.
@Ana Ta yeah I do miss the laptop days honestly.. and I do plan on getting back into it soon for the same reasons as you stated. I can use different brands without issue
Thanks for this video and great picture of m13, clear skies!
Thanks Alexandre! 😊 Clear skies buddy!
Looking great. 👍👍
Thanks Rick! 😊

For sure! I've been a real dummy for waiting so long
The EAF makes things so much easier to run a rig a good target for a first light, nice image, mate

Haha, yeah man, it makes focusing a breeze and spot on. 👌 I'm thinking about getting another one for my Redcat 51

I love EAF - have one on both of my rigs. You're gonna luv it
Thanks Mike! 😊 I already do, lol
Great video. By the way, how did you attach the vixen dovetail to the losmandy dovetail? Thanks. K.

Yes, AsiAir Pro. It will remember focus position for sure!

@@WVAA304 There are very good mini computers now. They are 12V run. Just put on scope and you are ready to use equipment from any manufacturer.
