Bose SoundLink Flex vs. Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore. Audio quality sound test.

- I created these series of videos to share and compare the sound quality of a variety of speakers. Out of the box, update if necessary and with no EQ.
I personally picked this four songs in order to appreciate different genres for those of you who really want to hear the quality of the speakers.
Some comparisons might not be on the same category (size, price, plugged smart speakers vs. portable bluetooth speakers, etc…), so don’t start complaining! It’s all about the sound!
To record the sound I used the Sennheiser Ambeo Headset which captures 3D Audio.
Please wear headphones for an optimal/much better result.
I'll try to keep adding new comparisons to the "Battle of the Speakers" Playlist regularly, so stay tuned (get it?).
The digital peak meter represents which speaker is actually sounding - it is not meant as a real representation of the sound levels. Also, when a speaker is silent its name is greyed out.
Let me know if there is a particular pair or brand you would like me to test and I’ll do my best.

Bose Flex is way better here...No comparison...
I made a mistake once with buying B&O A1 which was claiming 20 hours listening time. While listening it was getting hot and giving 2.5 hours listening time.B&O also expensive.I sold it and buy bose soundlink mini 2.That’s why I buy Bose always.I found my brand that’s all. Bye bye B&O forever…
Flex knocks this one out. Very much better sound. The A1 can stand toe to toe with the flex but its 100$ more. This explore cost 50$ more than the flex? Nah no thanks. Flex wins on sound and price

Boss звучит насыщеннее и «вкуснее», на мой взгляд.
Более «глухо», «строго» и «деревянно», но очень чисто (лично для моих ушей) звучит саунд у Bang&Olufsen, но это не означает «плохо», просто, я полагаю, для разных целей и стилей музыки обе колонки хороши.

Excellent work. Bose Soundlink is the best.
They both sound better in different ways. Bose has the more bass, yet Bose mid range is not as clear as Bang & Olufsen. B&G had more clarity in the mid and upper range.
Bang & Olufsen also has the app that allows you to change of the frequencies, which was not done in the video. It can put out more bass and allow you to alter things quite a bit.
The biggest thing here is that the Bose is directional (speakers face one direction only), facing towards you so it naturally sounds better while standing directly in front.
However the B&G most likely sounded better from the sides and the back over it's rival as it is multi-directional.
Slightly more clarity with the B&G, but slightly more base with the Bose. I am listening to this video through my harman/kardon speakers incase anyone wanted to know.

Both sound good, depending on the song sounds better and louder Bose, and in other songs sounds more powerful the bang and olufsen. I want to ask you a question, you know if jingle bells song is performed by Txell Sust ?, cause if yes, casually she's (the singer) it's a friend of mine 😊 👌🏼👍🏻👍🏻👏🏼👏🏼👂🏼

Difficult to understand, with such a simple test. So it seems to me that "Beo" is less clear, but you have to understand the position of the speakers.
Did you use the B&O phone app to adjust the sound? That seems like the make-or-break point for the Explore speaker - gotta use the app
Hi, I did not use any app whatsoever to EQ the music.

I prefer Flex.
Have tested both speakers and there was no better sound quality than an Lg-PL 2 for only a fraction of the price
The bose has the sepakers in front, the B&O on sides, not a fair comparision in real life is very different

Bass is hella good
B&O allows you to add more base into the song in the app. You won't believe how strong the bass would be if you adjust in the app. In this video they didnt do that so the bass in the Explore is lighter than the Flex
I bought this particular bose bluetooth speaker. In person it is less impressive for the price it commands . Similarly priced speakers from anker are larger and put out way more sound . For the price either one of these speakers ask for , they're both underwhelming. Not worth the asking price.
Both brands are on the expensive side. I haven't try any Anker speaker, I'll check them out. Thanks and please consider subscribing to the channel if you haven't already ;-).
the design of the b&o blows the flex out of the water...its too bad about the sound

Out of the factory is not set-up correctly. You need to go into the app and move the slider under energetic and you have another speaker basically, way better.

The comparison isn't fair if you ignore one of the B&O's best features.

Explore is amazing speaker with beautiful liniar sound. Design and materials is stellar. How its recorded on test video - it's another question.
