Thank you =) It is more a matter of genre compatibility, not quality itself. Aurora's songs posses two challenges. First one is to preserve the atmosphere of the original song. With most covers, you can just write generic heavy metal stuff and slap acapella on top. Job is done. But this approach does not work with Aurora's unique style at all. The second challenge is to actually mix Aurora's vocal with metal. You can slap Katy Perry vocals on top of anything, and it will always cut through the mix. With Aurora, you need to have brutal bdsm sexual relationship with multiple volume knobs. The second you'd think you've done with them, Aurora's voice disappear behind guitars.
@@NaySan yes that´s so true. Her songs are just build different, but in a good way. I can only Dream of making a song that sounds good and has an atmosphere to it. I don´t know alot about mixing yet so i wonder does her voice sometimes get swallowed by the guitar because in the original they are not as loud as katy perrys voice for example? Hearing about your relationships with the volume knobs makes producing sound so exhausting haha
@@make_peace_not_war1928 Most vocals in modern pop music are normalized via compressors, means that dynamic range is very low. So if vocal is too quiet, all you need to do is turn the volume up, and it guaranteed to always stay on top of music. Some are not, tho. Among those I know is Aurora and Billie Eilish. For them, if you turn volume up, loud parts become too loud. If you turn volume down, quiet parts become too quiet, and yes, they get swallowed by guitars and hi-hats. And if you try to throw compressor in, quiet parts gonna sound extremely unnatural.
@@NaySan ah yes i see. i dont know alot about mastering .. i`m still learning but do you think it would make a difference when you use a limiter? You can limit the loud parts and then make the whole part louder? Idk.. You still did a good job tho:3 and sry for answering so late
@@make_peace_not_war1928 Limiter\compressor do help, but only for some extend. If there's an extreme volume difference, after some point limiter makes singing sounds weird and unnatural, because volume of human voice affects it's timbre. It's exactly how ASMR speech produced, through compressing shit out of whispering.
@@tufanalp9049 Yeah. When dealing with such complex vocals the best approach is to arrange instruments around it. I didn't do a very good job on this one tho. Some words are barely audible.
@@NaySan It's good bro I listened it over 30 times. Most musicians don't like their music cause they listen it over and over while making them. That feeling never goes I don't like my music either. Maybe because of that, or maybe because they indeed bad
the combination was like the angel fell from heaven to hell then became something like angel face with devil body. damnit i can't explain properly 😅 the point is this is frckn awesome
Thank you =) Explaining how something feels is probably the hardest thing to do. No words can describe the emotions with enough precision, but music can transfer them directly.
Unfortunately, I had to back out on this one. The currently producible acapella have extreme artefacts in chorus that cannot be worked around. Need to wait until acapella extracting software gets better. It may take years.
Hello! Have some news for you. Acapella with acceptable quality obtained. The cover is in production and if nothing horrible happens, it will be released on 19 March.
i understand, making auroras music into something equally as good is hard because shes so talented but this is really nice!:3
Thank you =)

It's actually very hard to integrate silent ambient voice like auroras with metal. I like it more than original. 👍🏽
Thank you =)
Yeah, mixing soft vocals with metal is a pain.
@@NaySan yes one solution is using high pitch riffs like u did in 2:22, otherwise it'll fade behind the guitar sound and you have to mix it for hours.
