    Thank you for all the content! O watch your videos with a pen and paper, always.
    I have a question for you, hoping you read and answer.
    DPT programs state that it doesn't matter what your undergrad is, but they do not mention if the issuing university matters or not. I am currently done with all my.pre reps from a brock.and mortar school, but am debating transferring to WGU for BS in accounting. Think of it as plan B, for life skills, and skills required to run a PT clinic.
    Would applying to a DPT program with a degree from WGU disqualify menas a candidate or lessen my chances of acceptance?

    • @drjustinleedpt
      @drjustinleedpt  2 года назад

      WOW that means so much to me! I would love to see your notes that you take. DM me? As far as your question goes.. Your undergrad major does not matter, but the university where you graduate from can have some weight. Imagine if there are 2 applicants that have the same exact stats. If one of them graduated from WGU, and another one graduated from Stanford.. they would favor the one that graduated from Stanford. However, there are still many other factors can come into play. All in all, I wouldn't worry about the university that you graduate from. I don't believe it would hold that much weight to disqualify you.. So... I ENCOURAGE YOU TO APPLY!!!

    So in PT school, it’s pretty typical that memorization is a huge thing, or anything medical really. In school, what did you use to study the various material(other than obviously the textbook)? Also, do you still study while being on the job, or is most everything locked in place? Thanks!

    • @drjustinleedpt
      @drjustinleedpt  3 года назад

      In PT school, I mainly used my iPad and studied all the lecture notes. I rarely used the textbook (only if I wanted more information). I would definitely utilize study techniques like retrieval practice and active recall daily to make sure you understand and know the material. As a physical therapist, you should always be learning and brushing up on your information. But it is nothing like it is in PT school. There are many times where I will have to look back at my notes to check information and to recall things that I forgot. Unfortunately, you cannot Google some thing in PT school; you will have to memorize everything LOL That’s how it is in the real life my man!

    I don’t think I can be big at all just bc I don’t think what my soulmate *career* is.. :( I’m overwhelmed of thinking about all this stressful stuff, when I don’t want to have fun, but I might join the army and just fix it like that I just forgot to put ,” and .’s

    • @drjustinleedpt
      @drjustinleedpt  3 года назад

      If I had a choice to go back, I would highly consider going into the military to help pay for some of my schooling. You can still have fun as a physical therapist and still live a great balanced and meaningful life

    bro,could i pursue dpt after completing my bachelor's degree in audiology and speech pathology . its so confusing to figure out the answer.

    • @drjustinleedpt
      @drjustinleedpt  3 года назад

      You absolutely can! Your major does not matter. As long as you fulfill all the requirements, you are good to go! There are a lot of students who do not major in any related studies and still become physical therapists.
