If you factor in aversion to fire/ Jacks mutation compared with Excellas + what the weakpoints look like/ there may be a lot more of a direct association than theyve let on so far Wesker called it Ouroboros but what if it was his attempt to artificially create a megamycete-less mold that only he could control. On the other hand, Progenitor Virus from Stairway to the Sun had many variations such as T-Virus, G-Virus, T-Veronica Virus, Uroboros, T-Phobos Virus, C-Virus, A-Virus, and many diverse B.O.W.s such as Tyrants, Nemesis, Lickers, and etc. in relatively short amount of time.

I don’t get it. Spencer wanted to prolong his life and restore his youth in his declining days, yet he relied on Alex Wesker who betrayed him as much as Albert Wesker did. Why didn’t he just turn to his former teacher, Mother Miranda and the mold? The mold clearly could prolong life and perhaps even restore youth more efficiently. It did wonders for the likes of Miranda herself, Lady Dimitrescu, and perhaps even the Duke.
Maybe he didn’t think Miranda would let him leave the village alive a second time. They were on decent terms, but neither cares for the lives of others, and Miranda wouldn’t value him half as much without access to all of Umbrella’s resources.

I don’t get it. Spencer wanted to prolong his life and restore his youth in his declining days, yet he relied on Alex Wesker who betrayed him as much as Albert Wesker did. Why didn’t he just turn to his former teacher, Mother Miranda and the mold? The mold clearly could prolong life and perhaps even restore youth more efficiently. It did wonders for the likes of Miranda herself, Lady Dimitrescu, and perhaps even the Duke.
Because the creators of 8 didn't think about the questions that retcon would raise.
Maybe he didn’t think Miranda would let him leave the village alive a second time. They were on decent terms, but neither cares for the lives of others, and Miranda wouldn’t value him half as much without access to all of Umbrella’s resources.

Actually in the letter it says Mold has very slow progressive compare to his virus he made, also Mold could possibly isn't suit for him and would turn him to a werewolves. Even Dimetricu says his daughters are imperfect compare to her

His IQ is over 90. As a teenager, he received a scientific degree. He is also a virologist. He works masterfully and conducts experiments with viruses. Since childhood, he was brought up in a scientific circle. And that's the whole point. Such a godlike character, logically, cannot lose to two ordinary people.
