Wonderful snorkeling trip to Indonesia. Shooted 20 okt - 3 dec 2016. Took place in Bunaken national park (incl. Siladen and other islands), pulau Selayar, Bira. In Raja Ampat (Papua Barat) - pulau Misool, Waiag, Gam, Selpele, Manyaifun, Wayag, Friwen Wall, Kabui Passage, Hidden Bay and others. All GPS maps available drive.google.com/drive/folder...

I am so happy to be a scuba diver for 30yrs and it really pisses me off to no end that I love it so much that I can't afford to go to such lovely places to dive I am telling you that if you ever get the opportunity to get certified as a licensed scuba diver for God sake do it. I am in Calgary Alberta Canada and the only place I dive is at Waterton lakes National park and it is beautiful to see the world under water you realize that how magnificent it is . the only sounds you hear is your bubbles.words are not enough. Trust me that is another world.it makes me thankful for having such a huge opportunity to be smart enough to do it.silence🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟 galore.tim
If so, you SHOULD go there - in Raja Ampat. It's heaven for divers. Make it yr aim, save some money and just go! Make it yr wish and go for it!
I hope you have more opportunities to scuba dive. I enjoyed reading your comment and your enthusiasm. Surely that needs to be rewarded with lots of diving.

Такие чудеса своими глазами могут увидеть только смелые, отчаянные, совершенно неугомонные исследователи , и им награда - восторг от причастности к этой невероятной сказке. Грамотный монтаж и музыкальное сопровождение - я увидела не только фантастический мир, его настроение, но и прочитала , как твой мальчишеский восторг и любопытство сменяется напряжением , а потом перерастает в такое чисто мужское Уважение к созданному Миру. Absolutely stunning, , didnt want it to end :). We went to the Gili Islands in Indonesia last year but snorcheling was really bad, almost no fish - let alone coral, everything was dead and grey, just very few turtles and those were chased by tourists and their selfie sticks whenever they dared to show up 😞 made us really sad. Oh and not to forget, the endless amounts of plastic floating by and laying on the beach... Such a shame.
Makes me even more happy to see in your video that so many spots still exist in indonesia where the underwater ecosystem seems so intact ❤️
Thank you! Not so many places left ((( The same picture as you described you saw in Gili, I saw in Pulau Weh last year - but 8 years ago, they say, it was one of the best place for snorkeling in Indian ocean. Hm... Sad...
@@Ad0a0m I went to Pulau Weh in 2008. It was pretty good for snorkelling then. Decent coral life etc. Sad to hear it's really bad now. Is that bleaching or too many tourists (not many when I was there)? Gillis were destroyed many moons ago. Maybe in the early 90's still ok. I was in komodo in 2016 and there is still good sea life here. I hope it lasts for some time yet.

Very beautiful, thank you. I also already go to Raja (and Friwen, Fam, The passage .. Raja Ampat, and Bunaken, Siladen, Bangka, Tumbak), do you think Selayar east coast is very good too for snorkelers ?
I've been exactly on the East Coast of Selayar and filmed there too. It's very interesting for snorkelers - anytime you could find something new and interesting. Mostly, corals are not in such a good condition - many of them bleached, but for me Selayar it's about big fishes. It's forbiden to fishing there, and vilages are far away - so you can find many big fish not shy at all. By thу way, in Selayar i saw sharks for the first time in Indonesia. So many sharks.... Also three kinds of stingrays and eagle rays. Some people told me 'bout dugong!

What an awesome video! did you use a coloured filter on your camera? I know you were snorkeling because I could see your shadow on the back of the mantas
Yes, shadow, right )))) - it's like "marker" to compare sizes ))) I love it and deliberately kept it in the video ) No filter, but i do use some color correction at postproduction stage.

No, It's only snorkeling! But, some times, i can go free dive as deep as 10 m or more. But usually, no need to )) - you can see many interesting thing close to the surface

Hi, beautiful video! May I know if you have used any filters? and what color/kind? I'm learning to take better video and photos underwater. My video is kinda blue and lack of colors. Thanks in advance!
No, no filters - it's just Canon D30! I had to correct exposure and stabilize video in FCPX only. Very soon, I'll add new videos that was shooted with GoPro5 - where I use red underwater filter.

Raja Ampet is dangerous because after you go there, every other dive site becomes a disappointment.

Hi! Thanks for watching! Yes, we took a boat trips through the islands. It's much cheaper if you have company, coz price usually split between passengers. We did not use any tour agency, we just contact with owners of guest houses through stayrajaampat.com or search contacts via Internet. We read a lot about different islands and choose desired ones. Then arrange transfers between guest houses. Actually, we planing to go again this year.

I think Bali not gr8 place for snorkeling. You should google for one of the many beautiful snork. spots in Indo, which you might like. I was in Raja Ampat, Bunaken, ets. Look up in end titles of this video to find out more. I think, from Bali - better to go to Gili isl. (never been there) for snork., of better - Komodo. It's not far, but one of the best!

Are those some kind of shelless snails 🐌? There's probably a great many poisonous and venomous creatures down there? Are those beautiful bright colors a warning of deadly bites and secretions? No jungle compares to the wild and dangerous seas.
Yes, it's true - you need to keep distance and respect marine inhabitants! The most poisonous creatures are blue-ringed octopus (13:32) and cone snail (02:31). Less poisonous to compare with them are sea kraits (11:24).

Hi Juan! All spots are different and "weather depending". Some have Nudi, others - fish only. It's very hard to recommend. Better try to find good guide.

Yep, it's a prob - usually, fish moves so fast so it's hardly can be filmed. Especially on that type of cam - in my next vids I'll use higher fps rate, so can slow it down manually
the camera movement is too fast and there are too many cuts. you don't get a chance to actually see what is being filmed.

Спасибо! Я сейчас заканчиваю создание новых нескольких фильмов из самой последней поездки в Папуа, так что скоро появятся новые видео, ждите ) Как добраться? Хм... Почитайте на форуме Винского или stayrajaampat.com - прилетаете в Джакарту, оттуда - в Соронг. Затем, паромом до Вайсай/Мисоола. Расписания могут меняться. Перелеты все в Соронг через Джакарту (с остановками в Макасаре, Манадо или Амбоне)

Проживание примерно 350-500 тыс. индонезийских рупий день с питанием на одного, лодка на день человек на 6 - примерно 1-1.5 млн индон. рупий. Ну и долететь.
