Man, X Japan really did so much for Japanese rock/metal. I actually started by listening to Babymetal in 2018, but then I found X Japan in 2019 and immediately understood why the guy who creates and writes Babymetal is such a big fan, it's cool that Babymetal has kind of carried the torch and evolved :)

This song is so beautiful. It truly made me cry, and I’m still tearing up even now. My goodness, Su-Metal being capable of not crying during songs with this much emotion (for example, her singing Graduation Toss with Sakura Gakuin) is amazing. I wonder if it is a skill she had to master or if it is a God given talent, but regardless, she’s a wonderful singer through and through. My heart hurts when I look at her face while she sings this. I wonder if she dedicated this song to Yui-Metal in her heart. It’s so painful but beautiful to listen to the song when having this interpretation. Either way, she made me cry, and that’s one mark of an incredible singer.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that as of today, only 2 bands have crossed the language barrier and become popular around the globe; one sings in German, Rammstein, the other, in Japanese, Babymetal. I mean, I know there are several others out there that also do it, like Die Toten Hosen for example, but they haven't really taken off all over the planet. And yet, I think Babymetal should be even more known globally than they are.
