Series60 Valve Adjustment Tips. Used 04 TS-43 as there was no sticker on Valve Cover.

I didn’t have the focus to show injector height and Jake brake adjustments. With the Jake’s though, I like to put a smaller feeler gauge between piston and valve, then tighten down, hold for the time determined from the workshop manual, then back off till the feeler gauge falls out. Then carefully adjust to spec. Because if you go too far back, you gotta start all over. Very frustrating process. I gotta get a bigger .032” feeler gauge that has the step down to .030” or .031”. Would make this process soooo much faster. I’d buy 4 of them. As the workshop says adjust Jake’s with exhaust valve closed. So I try to get two exhaust lobes facing down equally.
