  • I got some bucket forks off the Internet and show installing and testing them on my Case 590 Super L backhoe. I think these forks will work out great.

Excellent video. Getting ready to do same for my loader. Your comments on arrow and netforks saved me a lot of time when doing the research. Thanks

Great glad to hear it. Hope you like them. Honestly it's one of those mods you are going to wish you had done long ago. You will find so many uses for them!

I think you are giving a "code" for where to order, but I guess I am not that smart

Hey sorry I must have missed your comment. I got the 60" but they have 48" too. Get them longer, they are easier to see from the cab. Ran around $2K with shipping.

What welding machine did you use? I have a Titanium Flux 125 and would like to know if it’s powerful enough to do this kind of work.

I welded mine at full power on my machine which is around 200 amp, I was using .030 wire. The mounting plates are 3/4" thick. You could grind a chamfer on both sides of the bottom edge to get yourself more penetration if your machine is a little light on current (I presume only 125 amp?). Might want to find out if you know anyone with a stick welder too - they are cheap and there is always someone with one lying around!

Does it want to bend the rod when you set your bucket down? I gotta know ha cause I really like what you did here but I can see myself doing this and bending it all to hwll

No it's really tough. My machine can lift 7000 pounds, but I bought forks that handle 8000 so I'd have some safety margin to avoid that kind of thing. Since down pressure on your loader will be less than the lift (cylinders are weaker on the retract direction), it won't bend. If it would, you couldn't lift without it bending either. You'd only have a problem if you bought something rated less than what your machine can do.

@@dirtyshirtworkshop thank you for the reply! Very helpful man. I’ve got some that neeed modifying to fit my backhoe so I figured while I was at it I’d extend them like yours
