A slight deviation from the planned video, but it's still included.... I took my eye off the ball the other day, and realised I'd just hit 100 subscribers!! Thank you so much to everyone who has got me this far... onwards and upwards.
The actual video was going to simply be a Check Your Change video where I found an old round Pound in a trolley shelter in the local Asda, but the good news kind of usurped that!!
Thanks again to everyone for getting me to 100!
Cheers all
Congratulations on the 1st milestone of 100 subs. All the best for many more. 🍻
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi Hendrik from Namibia🇳🇦 I have the 1985 one Pound & 2013 Two Pounds
Hello Hendrik. Thanks for stopping by. The 1985 version of the 1 pound coin has the Welsh leek design and there were just over 228 million issued, and is no longer in circulation, so certainly one to keep. The 2013 2 pound coin has 4 different reverses.... the cogs & gears, known as "Technologies", 2 different designs for the London Underground and 1 celebrating 350 years of the Guinea. All four of these are still in circulation. Cheers.
Good time🎉
Yes ihave coin pund year1983
Do you buy these coins?????❤
Hi. I don't buy these, as they are still very common here in the UK. If you want to sell it, try other local collectors or possibly Ebay. You would get a little more for it in your country than in mine. Good luck. Cheers.
Hi I have the same one
Hi. Over 443 million were issued in 1983. Although they are no longer in circulation, they are still quite common in the UK and around the world. Cheers.
Hi Les, Congratulations on the sub count 🏆🏆🏆 also did you know the round part of a key unlocks the trolley aswell 😎👍
Hi Ian. Thanks. I'd heard of that trick but haven't tried it... roll on the next visit to the shops!! Cheers.
@@LesCoins-uk I haven't tried it myself I saw it on a RUclips video and it worked for him 😎👍
I have This 👌❤️🤗 !
Hi. The 1983 version, and many of the following years, are still very common (443 million issued), even though they have been withdrawn from circulation. Here in the UK, in good condition you might get £2-3 ($3-4), otherwise they're pretty much face value. Cheers.
Koleksi yang bagus...
er... thank you?
I'm relieved you didn't say anything about the edge inscriptions being 'upside down'! What a FANTASY language that is...
That would be a video in its own right! As we know, some edge inscriptions are upside down, but others (like some £2 coins) can be either way.
Sorry, what I meant to say is there is no such thing as 'upside down', it's completely random as to which way edge inscriptions go, as in it's totally irrelivent. It can occur on ANY coin with an edge inscription.@@LesCoins-uk
at all, that money is my savings..one pound in 1983
recently i found an 83' in a poundstrecher
Yep, they're still around!! Cheers.
I have something similar to that dollar
Hi Felipe. There were about 41 different coins, many with the same design, issued between 1983 and 2015. Cheers.
Very cool 👍⚓️🧲
This was a case of "right time, right place" and bit of lady luck thrown in making me looking down 😁 Cheers.

I have 2 pounds coins and many old coins
Hi, Thanks for stopping by. These coins are no longer in circulation in the UK, but are collectable, even more so outside the UK. I don't know if you use Numista to keep a record of your coins, but it is very good, even for old coins. I've been using it for many years. Search for Numista and it should appear. Cheers.
Sound as a pound that’s round. Congrats on 100 subs 🎉
Many thanks. Things have started to happen in the last month..... another 20 years and I'll be a YT sensation 😂 Cheers.
J'ai cette piece la aussii
Bonjour. Bien que ces objets ne soient plus en circulation, ils sont encore assez courants pour être trouvés
I have an old one pound coin from 1983
The 1983 £1 is worth about £2 if in good condition here in the UK, but you might get a little more if you are outside the UK. This was also the first year they were issued so there are a lot out there.

I have this coin 1 pound how much will b sold
Hi, In the UK it's worth no more than £2-£3 depending on condition. To sell it, you might get more in your country. Don't sell to dealers - they will not give a good price. Try local collectors or maybe Ebay. Good luck. Cheers.

Hi,
I have this one pound coin year of 2001
Hi Ashok. You might want to check the date as they first came out in 1983. They issued one in 1991, so does the 9 look like a 8? Cheers
Sorry sir . I have this coin of 2001
Hi, dear sir.
Very thanks for your suggestion. Sir I have one quarter aanna coin of king Edward vii 1906.can you help me for sale it
@@ashokpawar9604 No problem. Only one version was issued in 2001, and it had the Celtic Cross (for Northern Ireland) on the reverse. There were almost 64 million, so they remain quite common here. They sell in the UK for no more than £2-£3 if they are in very good condition. To get more for it, you might want to sell it locally, to another collector or perhaps on Ebay in your region.
@@ashokpawar9604 Hi Ashok. The Quarter Anna, if in very good condition might get£3-£4 on Ebay in the UK. The occasionally appear in mixed bags of world coins, so like the £1 coin, you might want to look locally to make a sale.
Hi i found my grandfather's coins and i saw this one .how can i sell my coins from South Africa
There are several ways to sell coins, no matter where you are in the world. 1 - local collectors (maybe through a Facebook group?). 2 - Coin dealers in your area, but you won't get a good price as they have to make a profit too. 3 - Ebay. Option 3 may be the best and restrict buyers to SA or your local area. Good luck. Cheers.
sir good pm i have one pound series 1983 i ask here in philippines where can i sell if you have connections to sell this coins many thanks
Hi. The 1983 One Pound coin, although no longer in circulation, is very common here in the UK. If you wish to sell it, I would suggest you try collectors local to you, or maybe sell it on Ebay in your country. Local dealers will not give you a good price. Good luck.
How much the value of that coin?
Hi. In the UK it would be no more than £2-£3 if it was in very good condition, but outside the UK, where the coin is rarer, you might get the equivalent of £5 or £6, depending on the collector buying it. Good luck. Cheers.
I have 1 pound coin in 1993
Hi. The 1993 coin has the Royal Arms on the reverse. There were 114.7 million minted. They are very common and depending on condition, you might only get the equivalent of £2 for it. Cheers.
I am from Uganda I have 1983 1984 one pounds where can I send them
Hi, Thanks for stopping by. I don't think I've had many viewers from Uganda... welcome! The old round pound coins, although no longer in circulation here, are still quite common. You would be better off trading or selling it to other collectors in your area. Perhaps on a Ugandan Ebay or Facebook group? Good luck. Cheers.
I have that ser 2000

Hi, Not sure which one you have as none had the Queen's birthdate but many had the Latin around the edge. Here in the UK most of the old round Pound coins sell for £2-£5 and are still fairly common. If you sell to a local coin collector or dealer you should get more than £4 or £5. Check the prices on Ebay's Indian platform and look for sold items for an idea of local value. Good luck. Cheers.

Hi Les. I presume that is your name? I have lots of old coins of all values but do not know the best way to sell them on. I think that if i leave them to my kids there is a good chance they will bin them. Do you know the best way or place to sell them on please? (fingers crossed) Mart
Hi Mart. Yep, that's me... Les. Depending on what coins, and how many, that you have, bearing in mind their age and condition, the easiest thing to do is use Ebay to gauge the value based recent sold auctions (you can change the left hand filter options for this). If you then went to sell them to a dealer, you'd be lucky to get a third of the price, as they need to make money too. Failing that, go back to Ebay and try selling them individually or in groups or "year runs". There are other options out there, another could be a coin selling group on Facebook. Good luck. Cheers.

I have coin one pound Elizabeth ll : 1990 ( 1 coin ), 2. 2000 ( 1 coin ), Thanks
Hi. The 1990 should have a Leek on the reverse (for Wales) - mintage = 97,269,302. The 2000 coin has a dragon, also for Wales. Mintage was higher for that one, 109,496,500. Both are fairly common here, even though they are no longer legal tender. They are worth holding on to for a collection if you are not UK based. Other local collectors may be interested too. Cheers.
