Live life to the fullest because the 'wolves' are only 7 days behind you. From the 2007 album ,Dark Passion Play. First record with Anette. Marko co-wrote the music with Tuomas on this song. Next at Wembley is "Alpenglow", then "Poet and the Pendulum"

Saw them do it at their Nov 2022 Amsterdam Ziggo Dome concert, which was a huge surprise with Marko no longer there but I have so say that Troy did a magnificent job (could really hear the improvement in his vocals since Pinkpop when we saw them a few months earlier, so he might've squeezed in a few lessons from a certain vocal coach named FJ). Your going to love reacting to The Poet and the Pendulum next, it's a MASTERPIECE - just my advice but you should research the background to that song first. It's very personal to the band and the fans alike.
Studio recordings are only part of the picture. You can only get the whole package live, especially with bands like Nightwish or Pink Floyd. A well-intentioned piece of advice for you is to have enough tissues ready for your video for The Poet and the Pendulum, you'll need them.

This is absolutely a go see them live song. This was part of the setlist during their last North American tour and it blew us away. At the end, Floor very cheekily said this is probably her favorite song. Well done Dom!
Yay, my no. 3. High energy at the start and gets higher energy throughout. A Floor faviurite and for goid reason, so still on the setlist. And its one of those songs where Marco takes the lead quite a lot and people don't always realise. And some more of those lyrics only Tuomas would write: Light the fire, feast Chase the ghost, give in Take the road less traveled by Leave the city of fools Turn every poet loose. Emppu is, of course, a GOAT. Glad you spotted the silent howl. The Poet is my No 1. Hopefully you understand the band history andvwhat thevsong is about - youll get the most out of it that way. It is the pinnacle of Tuomas' ouvre, for me - even more than Greatest Show at the end of what was a magificent concert. More of an experience than a show.

Even the Finnish Prime Minister waded in with his opinion. Tuomas has said that he wasn';t suicidal but he was very depressed, and wrote Poet as a way to kill off the old Nightwish and start a new beginning An internet search for "Nightwish open letter to Tarja" will show you their letter to her which they gave her at the end of their "End Of An Era" concert, and her letter in response
Hey there! Friendly musical suggestion if you want something similar to Nightwish, that has more of a bark. I highly recommend you check out Mechina and Fleshgod Apocalypse. The former is like taking a trip into sci-fi territory, almost like a soundtrack to an epic futuristic story come to life. Think Epica meets Fear Factory. The latter is 50% Dimmu Borgir, 25% Italian orchestral music and 25% death metal brutality. I promise you won't be disappointed. P.S.: Ever since I've watched your videos, I noticed a trend in your videos, mainly when it comes to your outfits and such. They are on point, as ever. A huge fan of latex and PVC fashion myself. After firing their first singer Tarja Tuomas received a lot of hate even though I have heard that it was Marco who instigated it and it was the whole band who signed the open letter to her. Even the Finnish Prime Minister waded in with his opinion. Tuomas has said that he wasn';t suicidal but he was very depressed, and wrote Poet as a way to kill off the old Nightwish and start a new beginning
An internet search for "Nightwish open letter to Tarja" will show you their letter to her which they gave her at the end of their "End Of An Era" concert, and her letter in response

Friendly musical suggestion if you want something similar to Nightwish, that has more of a bark. I highly recommend you check out Mechina and Fleshgod Apocalypse.
The former is like taking a trip into sci-fi territory, almost like a soundtrack to an epic futuristic story come to life. Think Epica meets Fear Factory.
The latter is 50% Dimmu Borgir, 25% Italian orchestral music and 25% death metal brutality.
I promise you won't be disappointed.
P.S.: Ever since I've watched your videos, I noticed a trend in your videos, mainly when it comes to your outfits and such. They are on point, as ever. A huge fan of latex and PVC fashion myself. However, I'm curious to know if they are dresses or catsuits. Just curious.
