    I bought this Seiko and I love it. SInce I hardly ever even get near the ocean or swimming pools the diving specs don't make a difference. Excellent video.

      Thank you Rene! I agree with you regarding the specs. I also don’t get a lot of swim time. However, once I got used to the Seiko SKX007 and the SKX013 I did not wanted to go back to the Sea Urchin. Mainly due to the bezel action 😁 The Sea Urchin is a very handsome everyday watch and goes with any strap ⌚️

      @@adamg5780 Mine runs +/- 22 seconds a day. The 7s36 movement is not that accurate but i don't mind it. The bezel action is superb, everything alligns and the lumabrite is fantastic for the price.

    I need your help. I'm about to buy my first automatic diver watch, and I'm stuck between Seiko SNZF17K1 "Sea Urchin" and Orient Ray II FAA02004B. Both at the same price range. I'm not using it for diving, just a casual watch I can wear day in day out with every outfit I wear. Which one should I get? Please I really confused.

      Hi Robby, thanks for your comment. You must be excited to buy your first automatic watch! My best advice would be to try and see these watches in the flesh, try them on and look which one you like the most. In my humble opinion think the Seiko SKX007 is the best choice. Second best would be the Orient Ray. My third choice would be the Seiko Sea Urchin. Did you already have had a look at the Seiko SRPD55K1? That could be a great choice as well! Let me know which watch will be your first automatic diver!

    • @dredgewalker

      Both are actually great watches and the only determining factor is which design would you prefer. For me I'd go with the Seiko as I love the brand but I would get an Orient ray 2 in the near future as I love swapping watches everyday and it actually helps in a watches longevity if you don't use it too much.

    • @robincruz6229

      i have them both, anything between orient ray 2 or snzf17k1 is a win win for you

    What do you think is good for everday watch is it the orient II or the sea urchin?, and does the orient really slightly bigger than the sea urchin? When you wear it? Because i checked the specs of those two and the orient is slightly bigger

    • @GadgetsforGentlemen
      @GadgetsforGentlemen  4 года назад

      I prefer the Orient 2 Ray 2 over the Sea Urchin. I think everything is better about the Orient. Personally I prefer the design of the SKX007 and SKX013 over the Orient. However, the Ray 2 is unbeatable at the price for an automatic everyday diver.

    Does anyone know if the sea urchin and skx straps are interchangeable? Crafter blue is selling straps for the skx and I’m worried that it won’t fit on my sea urchin...

    Hour and minut hands should be between 3 and 9 when you are changing day/date. It's good for your watch. Thank me later.

    • @GadgetsforGentlemen
      @GadgetsforGentlemen  5 лет назад +1

      I always change the date after moving the hands to 6 AM. Thus in my example the minute hand should be at the 6 o’clock position for example? If that is the case I will move hands to the 6.30 AM position before changing the time 😁

    May i ask about the bezel of this model sir, will it fade overtime?

    • @GadgetsforGentlemen
      @GadgetsforGentlemen  4 года назад

      Fading I am not sure. It will scratch over time since it’s aluminum (as far as I remember). Should you want a bezel that stays pristine, then go for a ceramic bezel: Squale, Steinhart et cetera

    7:46 no hand winding???

    • @GadgetsforGentlemen
      @GadgetsforGentlemen  5 лет назад +1

      Yes. The movement charges itself by movement of your wrist. It is not possible, however, to manual wind the movement by rotating the crown. Therefore you have to actually wear the watch to keep it running.

      Yes. No worries. It depends on the version. Different editions come in different languages. For example my Seiko SKX007J had both English and Arabic on the date wheel.
