This morning I rushed out of my warm comfy home into the blistering cold of a Colorado winter morning, drove to the local truck stop and pulled up this weeks q and a episode. Gentlemen, where is the car? I thought we were building a tradition together...
Hi Mick, I'm in Canada and from what I know and have done myself, this is pretty accurate....I clipped it from Better Homes and Gardens lol........ In general, you will be pruning rose bushes just before the plant breaks dormancy after spring's final frost. This will be early in the year in warm climates, and anytime between January and April in cold climates. If it's old roses you are tending, prune them after blooming. They bear flowers on last year's wood. When rose pruning, cut away the dead wood first-it will help you "see" the shape of the plant without distraction. It's a good idea to visit a public rose garden and find specimens of roses you are growing. Note how the gardeners have pruned roses of the same type. In cold-winter climates, pruning roses in spring is often reduced to one option: Simply cut back the wood that was killed in winter. In warm climates, pruning can be done at any of three levels, depending on your purpose. Severe pruning (cut to leave three or four canes, 6 to 10 inches high) produces fewer but larger blooms. Moderate pruning (five to 12 canes cut to 18 to 24 inches) makes for a larger bush. And light pruning (less than one-third of the plant is thinned out) increases the number of short-stemmed flowers that will be produced.
This episode should be praise for the honesty in both Dan and Mick into answering gig applications for the Volante and all the questions. You guys are the most honest players that have been showing us soooo many things that we appreciate and help us grow as musicians. We salute you. Keep rocking.
You can switch presets on the Volante without using midi, if I’m correct you hold the favorite button and then tap one of the tape heads to switch to the preset, but I don’t know how to save a preset Also, I think you can use the Volante as a loop, you can loop a chord progression and then just hold the infinite button. I’m pretty sure it won’t degrade and anything you play won’t layer on top, I’m pretty sure at least.
Guys. Board on a budget episode is definitely needed. For the home player, young guys starting out or anyone looking for great tone on a budget. I have about 12 pedals but never use more than 3 at a time so no need for expensive power sources, and I made my board out of timber I found in the shed. I know you’ve touched on this before, but it would be great to revisit and remind people a couple of pedals on a simple board is all you need. A decent guitar and a great amp is needed obviously, if you can afford it. By the way, I love the show. Cheers.
If you want more Echo Rec type stuff, re-visit the boss dd500 as an echo Rec sound was added an update since you looked at it last. It would make a good comparison I think!
You are both far too modest, i love listening to you both. I've even bought a tele, as a strat person thats something I never thought would happen. The show is magical for lots of reasons, but all these people wouldnt love it if they (and I) didn't love listening to your playing!.
Hello Dan and Mick: As part of becoming interested in pedals and effects and researching and building my own pedalboard, I created an Excel (Windows)/Numbers (Apple) database that tracks/includes every episode of TPS, beginning with the first one on February 27, 2015. The database includes information on every pedal reviewed, a hyperlink to each episode, guest interviewed, and amps and guitars used by the two of you. Over the years I've continued to maintain it as a matter of course and it's current. TPS fans have requested such a database and you yourselves have talked about it and, well, I have already done this. I wanted to offer it to you guys and TPS fans for their/your use - as kind of a thanks for the show, which I obviously really enjoy. You can do anything you like with it and/or modify it in any way that you like. All the information comes from TPS’s (and TheGigRig's) RUclips channels and watching each episode. If you have any questions feel free to ask or email me. Thanks.
Hello from sunny Florida USA! You guys are incredible!! Please keep doing what you’re doing. Dan & Mick, you are both amazing guitar players! Dan, your intro for the Volante was inspiring!! You guys are just absolutely incredible!! Wish I could just spend all my money on just you guys to fund all the fun and enjoyment I get out of having you 2 in my (RUclips/Social Media) life! I truly hope someday I get the chance to actually meet you guys! It would just warm my heart. Much love for you guys and everything you do!! PLEASE keep this going!!! Dennis K.
I didn’t comment on the original vid, but I’ve got to say...the Volante sounded absolutely sublime. Well worth the hefty asking price. Unfortunately, it seems to have sold out EVERYWHERE. I will be getting one when they become available. That said, I’m still waiting for my fecking color drive, ordered 3 months ago. So patience is a necessary virtue when following this channel!
Hi Dan Hi Mick, Well, after an episode with a grass pedalboard, an other containing a geranium overdrive, Mick seems inspired to take up fretboard farming. Mr Justin B left a nice guide to prune roses, i would like to add that you should cut just above an outward facing bud located in the knots. Its the thicker part of the branches, the slimmer parts are called limbs. Good luck!
Please coin a phrase for that "soul > hands > amp > ears > soul" loop you mentioned...like a Pashion Feedback Loop or something...I completely get what you mean...when I purchased my Vox AC15 I think my talent trippled overnight just because it was inspiring...all of my pedals sounded better...all of my bends sounded better...all of my guitars sounded better...and it made me buy more gear...so...broke but happy
I cut mine pretty low to the ground sometime after they stopped blooming. Cut away dead wood first, and from there prune to encourage the shape you want for the plant. I found roses tend to crowd themselves and need help spreading growth out. If I remember correctly, try for 3 or maybe 4 main stalks. They seem nearly impossible to kill, so I wouldn't worry over it much. Also, I'm a total hack gardener. So heed better advice as you find it.
Just FYI, to access multiple presets for the Volante, Strymon sells the MultiSwitch Plus for US$129. It's a 3 button footswitch that can control 3 assigned parameters or presets on 1 pedal or 1 on 2 or 3 Strymon pedals.
Brilliant. Really sensible, practical advice about the compromises that we have to make. And some love for Mesa Eng. who make great amps for everyone, not just for the Triple Rec metal shredders...
Funny you mentioned the Cali Tweed Mick... the guitar v amp question I had for you last week, the conclusion of that is... I’m now on the waiting list for a Cali Tweed to arrive in NZ! Cheers again
Could not possibly agree more regarding a tone that inspires you and the effect on your playing. Had my latest revelation when I played my Les Paul through my new Bad Bob Boost (I wonder where I got that idea from) into my AM modded OD9 into my Wampler Pantheon... Hairs were standing on end...!!
Loved the video and the playing. Stunning sounds. Loved hearing the Supro Black Magik. For myself, I thought the Belle Epoch Deluxe and Boonar sounded warmer; though maybe not as ridiculously versatile. If I don't have some constraints I'll never get anything done.
I live in a temperate but dryer and more variable climate, similar though - always mind location when it comes to gardening advise. I think we can assume your varieties are sensitive for cold snaps, mine maybe tougher. Varieties matter. Generally fall pruning is most risky and mid spring the safest. Shoulder seasons, when might get a cold snap within a few weeks of pruning can kill. All these ideas are based on the fact pruning tells plant to grow and this is dangerous if a hard freeze comes when the plant isn’t dormant - this is the central theory. That allows that if the plant is dormant, dead off winter, while snow is on the ground or temps are under freezing you can also prune safely as the plant won’t respond with growth. This is great because the plant doesn’t resist and spring back with growth. In spring you can prune but often the “empire strikes back” in spring and you get more plant exactly where you wanted to remove it. For this reason winter pruning it the most effective. There is one more rule: if you trim all branches even you get less resistance.
Absolutely love you guys videos. I've learned a ton! And spent way too my money because of you... I'm really impressed at how enthusiastic you continue to be and how well you handle criticism and such. So refreshing in today's internet world.
I created a 11 pedal board with an mxr brick (2 18 volt pedals) and a joyo pxl8 loop for about 300$ total. With case. Smart bypass and buffer placement makes it awesome. Learned all that from some show on RUclips...
Thanks for the answer guys, much appreciated! Very excited to see the reverb vid too, particularly given the way Dan's face lit up when he mentioned it... (Mick was bang on, by the way, I've been using a Spring King for ages and they are exactly as awesome as he says)
@thatpedalshow Can’t wait for the pedal board friendly spring reverb unit episode! I personally have a Van-Amps(brand) Reverbamate(product line) SoleMate(actual model). If you’ve never heard of them you should absolutely check them out. It’s a fantastic piece of gear that’s absolutely giggable with.
Looking forward to the spring reverb show. Tell me you tried out a Catalinbread Topanga? I figured if it was good enough for Kirk Fletcher, it was good enough for me, but it'd be great to see it put through its paces in the context of what else might be available today. (=
Lol! I have those seasons of insanity too! Must be the OCD. (FYI, I saw this great shirt I should have bought, it said "I have CDO, that's OCD in alphabetical order...AS IT SHOULD BE!" :)
Can't understand watching this on a phone?! Always get a respectable set up for your show, and Mick - your engineering work does not go unnoticed, so thank you!! Sterling work as always.
Amazing instalment on the Volante, Mick & Dan! I really enjoyed it. Unlike the most vocal critics, I am on the side preferring the tone out of the Volante relative to the originals (but I will say the RE201 is a class of its own). Whatever Pete & Co. have crammed into that analogue signal path of the Volante just sounds glorious - so fat and clear. Thanks!
Requests please: 1. The Space echo shootout would be awesome, when you do it, please compare the Chorus in the later RE-501, etc. to the old Boss Chorus ensemble, is it the same circuit & can you use the echo, chorus & reverb all at the same time? 2. Selmer Zodiac 30 amp demo & comparison Vs the Vox AC 30? Thanks!
I think Strymon should make a proper 19" rackmount version of the Volante for the studio, as it could be so useful and inspiring for the things it can do with recorded tracks - basically, every old tape trick in the book at your fingertips.
Mark Hammer I thought the Magneto was just a 4 Head tape delay, with the looper and spring reverb. The drum Head delay makes the Volante a bit different.
I was really blown away with the Volante, but when you answered the question about the pedal getting lost in the mix it really helped me. I'm typically not very prolific and really only do any work as musician in rock cover bands. Sorry to Strymon, but I doubt this will be a purchase from me based on this feedback! It looks like it was a lot of fun though!
Please Strymon, make a smaller pedal with only the Echo/Delay unit of the Volante. I allready have a great Reverb (Neunaber Immerse MK II) and a great Looper (Pigtronics Infinity Looper)!
Thank you for addressing my question about how to manage ground loops and amp phase issues when using a stereo pedal output. That is why you guys rock! Mick - Prune once in December and you're good to go! BTW, I'm great with 1:15 videos on a great subject like the one last week.
Long time fan here... I'm really appreciating how the show has leveled-up; seems to me that it came on soon after the JHS shows and the intro of your other channels... anyways, I'm not sure how you managed it but glad you did... keep it up, always great chemistry and tons of info from you both.... So, I found my guitar thing with a tele, an old line 6 for a selection of "clean" amps with my pedals out front. I use a bit of the six's delay and my own with my chorus reverb etc... but lately I have had to get a bunch of original songs done on a piano. So I was wondering if you would ever consider doing a show for keyboards with pedals... thanks for all of your hard work and dedication. stu
Hello Mick! I hope this letter finds you happy and well. I live just slightly above the 45th parallel in Portland, Oregon, USA. I get it from a very reliable source that we should prune roses sometime in February. I use this method to great success. Best Wishes, Mark.
I'll have grab some head phones eventually. Speaking of cheap Tape Echo pedals I recently grabbed a Gauss Tape Echo and have been pleasantly surprised just how great it sounds.
Hey guys, would you consider doing a new video on dumble style amps? Like start at the lower budget stuff like ceriatone and all the way up to things like the two rock and such? Loved the delay video!
I have one Dumble bucket-list dream: cranked, driven hard with a metal zone (preferably with an old noisy power supply...and unshielded old strat pups, maybe playing the Ramones' Beat on the Brat...Dan playing, after at least 4 large beers!).
This is for Dan. Could you do a show on your home practice rigs? In an episode some time ago you talked about two different ones. Is one of those using the big trees from audio kitchen? I've been fascinated by that thing for a while and would love to hear your opinion about it.
Not on the agenda currently. We tend to avoid anything and everything with 100 per cent A/D D/A conversion. Although it's become a line in the sand that is starting to annoy people. So the current stance is that if anyone wants to send us one for a few months we'll at least play with it. Cheers!
I'm fascinated by the discussion that is unfolding around the three-minute mark, and arrives at Dan's explanation of that "cyclic thing" at 3:43 -- and this has come up in TPS discussions before. Is it worth being clear that we're talking about being *players* here? I think Mick draws a distinction between "artists" and "musicians" (have I got that right?), and this discussion about tones drawing out the better playing is about *musicians* (yes?). I listened to a fascinating interview from 2011 with the great Bill Nelson in which he said this: "But you know, I’m a firm believer that if you have a strong creative idea-regardless of the limitations of equipment or even your own technical ability-you’ll find a way to get that across, because it won’t let you sleep until you’ve done it. It’s that idea of having a vision of some kind, you know. And people often ask me about equipment and technique and and so on, and I always just say well, you know, you can’t buy the idea-you’ve got to have something deep inside you that you have to get across, that won’t let you be. If you’ve got that-even if you’ve got, you know, a banjo and a cassette machine-you’ll get a strong idea across, and people will be able to pick up on that and relate to it in some way. So it’s not about, you know, facilities. It’s about ideas." (source = ruclips.net/video/oq94dFB1B2w/видео.html ) So possibly "artists" don't need the gear then ... although if you ever listen to the rest of that interview, Nelson makes clear how much he owed to technology to be able to paint his aural soundscapes. And he's a *wonderful* guitarist to boot! Can't imagine you'll have read through this, D&M, ;) but you do elicit cogitation as well as musical inspiration! Cheers.
I think we're all on roughly the same page here. There's functional and there's inspiration. I wouldn't say there's a hard line between artists and musicians - some are clearly both. But very generally speaking, musicians aren't required to create, or be inspired to create in most cases. Sure, in the studio, or if you're being asked to come up with something, yes, but if you're simply playing parts for a show then you just need to get the parts out. That's not the way Dan plays the guitar 90 per cent of the time. He needs to feel the inspiration to play at all, and sound is what inspires him. Cars are no good without drivers or roads. Gear is no good without a player and an idea. And in both cases the journey can be radically different. Maybe. Cheers!
@@ThatPedalShow "I think we're all on roughly the same page here." -- is also my sense! Thanks much for taking time to reply so thoughtfully (and for reading!). FWIW, my hunch is that the "ideas" Nelson-types are a rare breed. And that "cyclic thing" makes a huge amount of sense to me.
Guys I love your show. I have a M5 modeler and use it most often either for reverb or as a tube drive. But many times I feel like using both at the same time. Given my limited budget, would you buy a dedicated reverb or a tube screamer? I have a fuzz pedal but don't use it too much. Thanks!!!
I know you guys normally don't do this but I'd love a show understanding how you approach playing the guitar. Maybe understanding what your "lightbulb" moments have been while learning guitar. You are both tremendous players. Thanks!
Thanks Sean! Maybe there's some vlog activity in there at some point. Playing with other humans is the thing that's been essential for me. I'm too lazy to practise guitar and I actually don't particularly enjoy playing on my own. Mick here. But when there are humans and music, I blimmin love it. Dan has more discipline and actually practises!
@@ThatPedalShow I really need to find humans to make music with. It's tricky when you pick up guitar in your late 20s (early 30s now) and miss out on all that from your youth.
Entertainingly tangential as always. Looking forward to the Spring Reverb Ep. Fun Fact: Dano Spring King really only uses the Spring for the "kick" feature; delay is generated by a PT2399 digital chip.
Hey guys, Matt here. I love the show! While I love seeing all the pedals that are far north of $300, most of us will never afford those. I’d like to see a show on some of those pedals cheaper than $100 that a young player or a guy with a family can afford., as well as occasional cheaper Amps. Anyhow thanks guys! Cheers!
I’ve been hooked on the EarthQuaker Avalanche Run v2 and the Meris Polymoon.....kind of bored with tape/drum delays even tho the tones I’ve always been very fond of. The polymoon just opens other worlds lol.
Have you Gentlemen ever considered doing a Q&A live stream every now and then? It would be nice to interact with you on a more direct level, and it would enable the community to give you donations as the stream is happening. I follow some RUclipsrs who do that sort of thing every now and then (not music related) and it certainly helps them keep the lights on... Looking forward to Friday, cheers from Croatia!
@@ThatPedalShow Maybe Simon or someone else can monitor the chat and keep it nice and propper and also read questions to you guys and then as you answer he looks for new ones... And if a donation happens who ever donated gets a little thank you and a shoutout. Maybe you could call it TPS Live Q&A stream (brought to you by Nikola Brkljačić the most handsome man in all of Croatia) or something like that... Anyways, just a little food for thought.
@@professionalprocrastinator8182 I know about Pete, I subscribed... It's not that there is no such stream available, I would like Mick and Dan to give it a try cause I think it would be a nice hang and also interesting and informative. For example someone has a question about a certain thing and it sparks a discussion both in chat and on camera and then we can go more in depth with additional questions coming from the chat regarding said subject...
Thank you for everything you guys do for knotheads like me! How about the Longamp Ultimate Time Machine? That would be an excellent pedal to include in this type of review and 3 different type of echo/delay on one side and reverb on the other.
It would be great if you could install the Galaxy Tape Echo (RE-201 model) in your UA interface and include that in the RE comparisons. The 14-day demo may be enough?
Actually the Volante allows you to stop loop degradation in SOS mode by holding the left foot switch for a second or so.. from then on the loop will stay the same just like in a regular looper..
You did a stunning job on showing some sounds, what more do you want :)? We all can read the manuals ourselves.. BTW, Reverb Decay is adjustable as well and the recerse and stop function of SOS can be applied to regular delay repeats as well :)
Street Fighter! The music Dan's humming at the beginning is Ken's Theme! I really love studying music from late 80's video games, because a LARGE percentage of memorable music to gamers came from this time. Why? The hardware limitations meant a larger focus on melodies. Many modern games (particularly remakes and sequels) have soundtracks consisting mostly of re-orchestrations of 30 year old tunes. (shameless plug, my EP "Elements" came out of me diving deep into this study. One-man project that has tunes I will stand beside, but middling production. You can stream it for free on my channel)
I have the Foxgear Echosex Baby ...zero problems ...it sounds awesome totally pro I use it more then my Empress Echosystem so you know it's got to cut it!
3:06 Everyone who thinks "tone is all in the fingers" please explain why 0 famous musicians or studios play and/or record with bad/cheap gear and instruments, or why anyone would buy a good stereo/headphones instead of just listening on their phone speaker. lol Style, technique, talent, and hard work are all in the person and hands and are MOST important. However, 90%-99% of your *_tone_* comes from your gear and instrument. Nobody would pick SRV playing a $30 amazon guitar through a portable battery amp, recorded and played back with a phone over the actual In Step album with all the nice gear and instruments played back on a $2000 stereo. They'll both sound like SRV playing, but the latter is going to have an immeasurably better *_tone._*
I plan on “investing” the time to learn the deep dark secrets of the Volante after my wife hopefully invests in one for my birthday. This bday will end in a zero (or zed as you might say), which always seems to be more troubling for some reason.

Cheers.
I recently got back into guitar and discovered your show, which I find very informative and entertaining. Thank you.
Many thanks Guys :)
Thay crazy E chord is poignantly beautful... and a finger destroyer! And I have HUGE hands. I'm amazed, Dan, that can pull that out whilst playing.
Dennis K.
I love the way you're interacting with us out here. TPS is required watching for me at least twice a week. More if either of you go insane for a bit.
Hi Dan Hi Mick,
Well, after an episode with a grass pedalboard, an other containing a geranium overdrive, Mick seems inspired to take up fretboard farming.
I prune my roses before the Winter sets in and get a really good display of blooms in the summer.
Me too -usually in mid November.
Dan, for your exchange at 3:55, it is called Virtuous Circle. It is magical when it happens
been loving your nod to Jeff Beck's brush with the blues Mick hopefully you continue deeper in !
Just FYI, to access multiple presets for the Volante, Strymon sells the MultiSwitch Plus for US$129. It's a 3 button footswitch that can control 3 assigned parameters or presets on 1 pedal or 1 on 2 or 3 Strymon pedals.
You guys just rock. Thanks for all the content.
Cheers
Agreed...best gear channel on youtube.
Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, Binson... all of the joy.
I've actually started transcribing Dan's Volante solo so I could learn it. I'm also doing the same with Devin Townsend's opening jam.
‘Soulishly’. That’s gotta be a Michael McDonald album?!
Gnnnghhhhh. Yeah baby!
I reckon Sam and Dave....
Michael McDonald rocks too ! The man played for years with the brilliant Jeff "Skunk" Baxter...Yeah baby 😊
Isn't there a pedal that does that?
In case I've missed a response: Presets on Volante... hold "favorite" and each "playback head/repeat" button become a preset spot. So you have 8.
So this is a general question strymon Volante or catalinbread Belle Epoch Deluxe which should have a home on my pedalboard?
I’m waiting anxiously for Mick’s flash of insanity. Rebuilding a guitar is pretty much the most fun you can have!
Thanks!
Requests please:
Thanks!
Can't stop being distracted by the DB meter SORRY!. :(
I managed to nab a dyna comp for £40 on your advice by the way.. cant wait to try it =)
I think Strymon should make a proper 19" rackmount version of the Volante for the studio, as it could be so useful and inspiring for the things it can do with recorded tracks - basically, every old tape trick in the book at your fingertips.
Agreed, I ordered one for my studio to treat like a tape/echorec
This is a great idea...
Mark Hammer
I thought the Magneto was just a 4 Head tape delay, with the looper and spring reverb.
So I was wondering if you would ever consider doing a show for keyboards with pedals... thanks for all of your hard work and dedication. stu
Was that "Ken's Theme" from Street Fighter Dan was singing?!
Hello Mick! I hope this letter finds you happy and well. I live just slightly above the 45th parallel in Portland, Oregon, USA. I get it from a very reliable source that we should prune roses sometime in February. I use this method to great success. Best Wishes, Mark.
Thank you Mark!
great playing on the volante demo....
28:33 - "I'm waiting for something" - it's a Headrush Gigboard, isn't it? I'd heard they'd been delayed until April...
I'm surprised there hasn't bet a ceriatone used on here yet
Gary Stead In the old video they did like 4 years ago they had a fuchs ods but I think besides the two rock that’s all they’ve really had
Working on it now :)
Good man😉
Thanks for doing the vids always really helpful, would you ever do a kemper episode with pedals?
Not on the agenda currently. We tend to avoid anything and everything with 100 per cent A/D D/A conversion. Although it's become a line in the sand that is starting to annoy people. So the current stance is that if anyone wants to send us one for a few months we'll at least play with it. Cheers!
I kept waiting for you guys to get into the Amber playback head feature. Something that is totally unique to the Volante as far as I know.
Wait - are those TPS logo lamps in the shape of a pedal? Did I miss those being released?
You need to follow TPS on Instagram, too! :) instagram.com/p/BtonNZ7l2b_/
I listened to a fascinating interview from 2011 with the great Bill Nelson in which he said this:
"But you know, I’m a firm believer that if you have a strong creative idea-regardless of the limitations of equipment or even your own technical ability-you’ll find a way to get that across, because it won’t let you sleep until you’ve done it. It’s about ideas."
(source = ruclips.net/video/oq94dFB1B2w/видео.html ) So possibly "artists" don't need the gear then ... although if you ever listen to the rest of that interview, Nelson makes clear how much he owed to technology to be able to paint his aural soundscapes.
At the beginning -- was that the theme to Street FIghter?
Hey guys, Matt here. I love the show! While I love seeing all the pedals that are far north of $300, most of us will never afford those. I’d like to see a show on some of those pedals cheaper than $100 that a young player or a guy with a family can afford., as well as occasional cheaper Amps. Anyhow thanks guys! Cheers!
I’ve been hooked on the EarthQuaker Avalanche Run v2 and the Meris Polymoon.....kind of bored with tape/drum delays even tho the tones I’ve always been very fond of. The polymoon just opens other worlds lol.
Much better in the studio than in a noisy bar!
Agree. I wanna Hear Every Word . . . these 2 have to Say.
4-6 pedals is usually my limit for pedals..........saying that.....GC-Pro and GCX switcher....loops go wild.
Would be fun. We'd need to go somewhere where there is acceptable broadband. Hnnmm
Pete Thorn does a good live Q&A on Sunday’s. Also check out Rhett Shull & RJ Ronquillo.
TPS videos just make the day better
Love when you guys talk about belly pox. Eric Johnson has a belly pox problem, he's got three of them!
Monday morning... Cup of Coffee... Dogs at my feet in the office... A new TPS VCQ. All is right in the world!
"Voxy & Tweedy" (which is how I roll, myself) - they sound like 70's Playmates.
And that's a good thing.
Don't know if you've got the Gurus Sinusoid in your spring-pedal shootout....if you want to borrow mine, I'm just in Bristol!!
Thank you for everything you guys do for knotheads like me! How about the Longamp Ultimate Time Machine? That would be an excellent pedal to include in this type of review and 3 different type of echo/delay on one side and reverb on the other.
Great show guys... What are those three TPS "pedals" behind you? (the black, orange and silver/green ones)
A very kind gentleman made them for us. They're lights - we love them!
xD Dare anyone to click on this time stamp! 12:00
Oh wow, how did we miss that?! Too cooool!
You did a stunning job on showing some sounds, what more do you want :)? We all can read the manuals ourselves.. BTW, Reverb Decay is adjustable as well and the recerse and stop function of SOS can be applied to regular delay repeats as well :)
If I had to choose one, The Empress Echosystem or the Strymon Volante (When it comes to tape/echo rec sounds) ? How about as the too go delay unit?
Earthquaker Devices Swiss Things solves your stereo / a-b amp issues and has polarity switching.
Or Humdinger by TheGigRig. Or the ABY Baby. Cheers!
@@ThatPedalShow sorry! I shouldn't have been so quick with the draw.
I have the Foxgear Echosex Baby ...zero problems ...it sounds awesome totally pro I use it more then my Empress Echosystem
so you know it's got to cut it!
I thought it sounded awesome! Must investigate the issue. Cheers!
Prune roses after they start to bud in spring.
Yup.
dammit! My fingers won't stretch far enough to play that beautiful chord. But thanks for sharing.
Good gravely that’s a stretch! Thanks Dan!
Would love to see you guys mess with a Ludwig Phase 2. The sound from the intro of the Diamond Sea by Sonic Youth.
I plan on “investing” the time to learn the deep dark secrets of the Volante after my wife hopefully invests in one for my birthday. This bday will end in a zero (or zed as you might say), which always seems to be more troubling for some reason.
