Hey gurrrrl.... wot arrrrrp.... yeh we ALL from da islands down here... MAORI-TONGA-SAMOA-FIJI-COOK ISLANDS and there’s a whole lot more know wot I’m saying... we like family here... New Zealand(European name) AOTEAROA(Indigenous name-what WE say) is a melting pot of Polynesian islands all coming together on the big island AOTEAROA... along with some of our other Kuzzys... we all related one way or another through whakapapa/ancestry lines... it’s like way way back in the day our Tupuna/forefathers all lived on the same island Hawaiiki, which at the time was too small for our people’s so we jumped in our waka’s/canoes and navigated the South Pacific islands stopping here and there where people stayed on and others kept rowing... Until finally the Hearty Stayers on the waka came to AOTEAROA-(Who became the Maori)... So long story short we all came from the same island but AOTEAROA is where we get down ya hurrrd... and now ya know!... There is heaps of other things we are well known for like Rugby(the All Blacks- Best in the world),.. heaps of world ranking sports people... Back in the day we never lost against the English when they brought their guns to fight us when all we had was sticks and stones, we never lost, we signed a treaty that we are still trying to get them to uphold to... in fact they sent their best war captain here from Africa to learn/pinch our war strategy of trench warfare and took it back to Africa to fight the Zulu... So yeh we are a WARRIOR RACE POLYNESIANS...WE HEARTY AS!.... Like our music... Old and New... we bangin down here gurrrrl know dat believe dat nnnnyeaa!....So now you can let all your peeps know when someone mentions New Zealand-AOTEAROA you can tell them who we are and how we all got here and what we are all about!... Australia & nz are right next to eachother and alot of nz born samoans/islanders reside in aus. I dont know about both of them though but one of them spent time growing up in the states im pretty sure like when he talks you can hear his accent . So he aint faking it
