on JackSucksAtGeography we upload a range of easy to watch geography related games. We mainly play Sporcle games like "naming all 197 countries". I successfully learned all 197 countries and plan to learn more Geography trivia. On this channel I also play Geoguessr. This is a game that uses Google Street View to drop you in a random location and you have to work out exactly where you are on the worldwide map. Geoguessr was created in 2013. If you want to see more from Jack he uploads different content to many other RUclips channels, linked above!

And the monstrosity you're looking at...is the shield from Maryland's coat of arms. While a lot of states simply put their coat of arms right in the middle of the flag, in the case of Maryland it takes up literally the entire flag. The banner of arms is from the 17th century by Cecil, the 2nd Baron Baltimore. The yellow and black represents Lord Baltimore's banner (heraldic shield of his father), which was used by pro-Union Marylanders during the Civil War. While the white and red is the Crossland banner (his grandmother) that was used by pro-Confederate Marylanders.

Also, from what I understand about escaping prison in Germany; attempting to escape prison is not a crime in and of itself, but any crimes committed during the attempt (assaulting guards, property damage, theft, bribery, etc.) are still prosecutable

In the UK I think 'Grandma's Footsteps' is basically Red Light, Green Light except instead of trying to get past 'Grandma' to win, it's the first person to touch her back. And instead of getting, well shot, if you're caught moving, you get sent to the beginning.

My tiny village of roughly 2000 in Scotland has two castles. For anyone curious: Menstrie Castle and Broomhall Castle can both be found in Menstrie Clackmannanshire. We’re not far from the much more impressive Stirling Castle too.

I had to take a dump outside near the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory on La Palma. The flora was so unique and combined with the height I felt I took a dump on another planet. (Luckily I had also toiletpaper with me, as I knew there was a possibility I had to run off the road) (this is a reaction on the pee-map)

Terry Fox was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and raised in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, a community near Vancouver on Canada's west coast. An active teenager involved in many sports, Terry was only 18 years old when he was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer) and forced to have his right leg amputated 15 centimetres (six inches) above the knee in 1977.
While in hospital, Terry was so overcome by the suffering of other cancer patients, many of them young children, that he decided to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research.
He would call his journey the Marathon of Hope.
After 18 months and running over 5,000 kilometres (3,107 miles) to prepare, Terry started his run in St. John’s, Newfoundland on April 12, 1980 with little fanfare. Although it was difficult to garner attention in the beginning, enthusiasm soon grew, and the money collected along his route began to mount. He ran close to 42 kilometres (26 miles) a day through Canada's Atlantic provinces, Quebec and Ontario.
However, on September 1st, after 143 days and 5,373 kilometres (3,339 miles), Terry was forced to stop running outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario because cancer had appeared in his lungs. An entire nation was stunned and saddened. Terry passed away on June 28, 1981 at the age 22.
The heroic Canadian was gone, but his legacy was just beginning.
