Thank you for this video. I always find my chain falls off the chain rings when rotating the pedals using a "contraption" like the blue one you use. Not sure why this always happens?
Could you please define little bit more about the blue container that you using clean the chain. Which chain cleaner or degreaser should I add into that blue container? I am Benninger cyclist and looking each and each video about the maintain the bike keep clean and as well as how to change the tires or tube and many more.... Please advise.
First don't buy any chain lube. Second buy some dawn dish soap blue with a sponge / green scrip side third buy a can of furniture polish preferably at the dollar store ( contains pariffin wax )
That stuff better not be very strong, if its too strong it can penetrate through bearing seals and dry out the grease inside jockey wheels, pivots and potentially the hub bearings if it gets there
Still need to lube the chain or put some grease on it. Dry wax or wet depending on your climate

Should use the “contraption” while the chain is wet with the WD-40 degreaser
AFTER USING THE DEGREASER SHOULD I PUT ANOTHER BIKE OIL
Yes add lubricant afterwards
Does the brakes still work after you put W-D 40 on them
Yes but maybe not so good as before!
@@BassocantorReviews ok
I think you’re referring to wd-40, which is a lubricant, this wd-40 degreaser.
@@paulragona1941 well if you even Touch the rotors they can not work so I don’t want to use it and Destroy my brakes
No. Not near as well. Avoid that at all cost.
Dave letterman giving bike cleaning tip
Hi. Can I use this if I want to clean my hub bearing? I will open them and clean them. Is this foam okay?
Technically yes. Id suggest normal WD40 though.

@@tmayberry7559 is dishwashing liquid is good enough to clean our drivetrain and chains?
@@ryanaloc8367 yes
@@tmayberry7559 can I mix it with water or should put it as it is ?
@@ryanaloc8367 either way. If you use it full strength it gets more oil and dirt out. Just remember to rinse with cold water

jockey wheels don't actually have bearings but bushings
@@lunatiy High end derailleurs do. Most Dont.
Sing it next time Mr. Cantor.
Smart shop vac use👍
I'll apply it to the chain and disc
not the disk brakes....
I think you put a little to much degreaser
