Thanks..so means it can connect to your computer, your desk phone and your handphone? How do the system prioritize your call? Currently I'm using my evolve2 85 with my computer and handphone and it works like a charm, it will switch from MS Team to phone call only if I answer the phone
Hi Amir, I don't have a desk phone in my home office to test so I engaged Jabra and asked if they had tested this. Here is their response: Hi Danny, We have and it should work the same way, whether the mobile phone or the Link 380 plugged into the Link 950, whatever starts getting audio will wake the headset. That said, important to note that the Link 950 still needs to be set correctly to the endpoint. Customer can give us a ring if they need any help with setup! Hello, thank you for this video. I have a Cisco 7962 phone and cannot toggle the system settings. It works just fine and is connected to my router. I am wondering if I can use this Jabra device to connect the two voice ports (where the handset and the headset connect to) to my MacBook Pro 2019 (usbc) in order to use my MacBook’s microphone and speakers. Is this possible?
Hello! Interesting use case. Why the audio from your MacBook vs a headset or Speakerphone? I don't have a Cisco 7962 phone to test this. I'm submitting this question directly to Jabra for their feedback. Thank you so much for watching and supporting our channel!
@joemad_7309 Jabra responded and based on this use case, stated this is not something that is supported. I wish we could help but I can’t think of a solution from the brands and devices we support. If you find something, please share.
Why does this need a power supply when using the Jabra Evolve 75 (which I have) and does that mean that both micro usb ports in the back need to be connected to power?
The Jabra PanaCast Hub requires power for several reasons: 📌 To power the PanaCast camera's multiple lenses and other components 📌 To power the hub's USB ports, which can be used to connect other devices such as speakers, microphones, and headsets 📌 To provide power for the hub's built-in PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports, which can be used to power other devices such as VoIP phones and network cameras The Jabra PanaCast Hub comes with a power supply that can provide up to 65 watts of power. This is enough power to support all of the hub's features, even when multiple devices are connected. Here are some additional details about the Jabra PanaCast Hub's power requirements: ⚡Input voltage: AC 120V/230V ⚡Output voltage: DC 20V, 15V, 9V, 5V ⚡Maximum output current: 3.25 A ⚡Maximum output power: 65 W I hope this helps!
@@Elimoo123 so sorry. The Jabra Link 950 requires power because it is a USB adapter that connects your Jabra headset to your desk phone. The adapter provides power to the headset so that it can function properly. Here are some of the reasons why the Jabra Link 950 requires power: 📌 To power the headset's microphone and speaker. To charge the headset's battery. 📌 To provide power for the adapter's Bluetooth functionality. 📌 If you are using the Jabra Link 950 with a Jabra Evolve 40, Jabra Evolve 80, Jabra GN 1000, or Jabra device, then you will need to use the AC power supply that is included with the Jabra Link 950. This is because these headsets require more power than the Jabra Link 950 can provide on its own. I hope this helps!
@@kieranp4195 I myself can use Skype and Teams at the same time via the adapter. So basically two softphones work at the same time. Ultimately, it depends on the software. There are certainly soft clients that reserve an audio source completely. I would assume that if it works with a normal headset, then also with this MDA220 USB adapter, since this behaves like a sound card on the PC.
The Jabra Link 950 enables compatible Jabra USB headset’s connectivity to desk phones and computers. No, it does not support a Jabra Webcam wirelessly.
Hi there! The Jabra Link 950 allows you to connect (compatible) Jabra USB headsets and connect them to a desk phone that don't support or have USB ports for headsets. This is ideal for organizations with older desk phones. I hope this helps.
Hi Daniel, if you have a phone with a USB port, you can certainly use it. If you would like to use the same headset and switch between your desk phone and a computer, the Link 950 may be an option. If you have Poly (formerly Plantronics + Polycom) headsets, they offer the MDA220 that I will feature in a future video! The goal of this video is to share an available option. @@CallOneInc I love your videos... just pointing out that for most desk phones in use in offices today, you can simply plug in the USB headset. Or use a $15 USB switcher from someone like Sabrent to plug the USB headset into multiple devices via USB. It doesn't make sense to spend $150+ on a solution (plus the cost of the EHS cable) when there's a better option. [A better option you did not mention in this video.] USB headset support was purposely added by most manufacturers so end users would stop complaining about the complexity of EHS and old-school headset connectivity.
@@CLTGeek no worries! 😃This is a great discussion. We service small to large enterprise customers as well as public sector.
