Who’s the dad on himyf
ICARLY S3 , Legends of Tomorrow
@@pizzara889 oh yeah and what happened when Carly’s mom showed up that’s a good one can’t believe I forgot that
Moesha
Still upset about Julie and the phantoms. And Angel! One not mentioned was The Glades. Still hate how that show ended!
Pushing Daisies was such a great show! It was so weird; quirky and eccentric... It's SUCH a shame it got cancelled!! Not only was it a great show, but it was also one of the few unique ones!!
Totally agree. And it was bizarre that it was canceled since it had such a huge fan base. I don’t get shows that are canceled for seemingly no reason. Forever was another. Highly rated and huge fan base. Canceled after 1 season.
@@LadyKC67I was a huge fan of Forever!! I was so mad when I found out it was canceled
The cliffhangers are the worst thing ever in tv history
Agreed I don’t see why they exsist
Blame Dallas and Who Shot JR. That’s where it started.
Cliffhangers stemmed from ads. How do you keep a viewer from changing the channel during the commercials? Thanks, 1960s editing techniques!
@@cjplay2 cliffhangers weren’t really around until the JR storyline. Once in awhile shows did a 2 parter, you tuned in the next week to see what happened. But they didn’t do the cliffhanger between seasons until Dallas did it. Then they all got into it.
Another thing shows didn’t do was create the “soap opera” style where you HAVE to see a show from the beginning and tune in every single week or you miss important elements to the ongoing plot line. Back then shows were mostly wrapped up in the 1/2 to 1 hour slot and started fresh the next week. Like Bewitched. You can still today tune into any episode and enjoy it for half an hour and not miss an ongoing plot line. They also had 25-35 episode seasons. Not this 6-10 episode crap. You spend the first couple of episodes trying to remember where the show left off and who is doing what, and just as you get into the groove of it, its over for a year or more. By then the audience has lost interest and moved on.
@LadyKC67 you're talking episode to episode versus season to season. I'm talking the origin of the concept. "Don't touch that dial" was how live shows did it. Imagine pre-Johnny Carson and a "commercial tease" for the next segment. It kept you engaged for 1-4 mins of commercials. Once someone realized that serialized TV needed you to come back to finish the story, they took the commercial tease concept to the end of the episode. Soaps gave us the first cliffhangers. So yes the concept has been around since at least the 60s.
Shame on anyone who was involved in "Pushing Daisies" getting cancelled. It was one of my favorite shows ever. I've never seen anything like it.
Had to have been the most unique show ever. One of my all time favorites.
Santa Clarita Diet. Another victim of Netflix’s cancellation. There’s honestly so many unanswered I don’t even know where to start. Hell, all we know of the zombie infection and how Sheila got sick was she got a severe case of “food poisoning”from some take out food 😂😂
I know it wasn't super popular, but I loved "The Santa Clarita Diet". It got cancelled after a huge cliff hanger and I was so pissed
I loved that show too!
Will we ever see Carly and Spencer’s mom and understand why she left?
I wanna know the same thing! Hopefully there will be a full length movie about this in the future. But yeah I’m asking the same question.
The fact that The OA didn’t even get a final season is so disgusting like how are you canceling a show that’s been planned out for years but keep the show that the producers seem to throw anything and hope it sticks ( Riverdale) ?
Riverdale finally ended, but it make no sense
"I Am Not Okay With This". Another Netflix show canceled super fast. Pretty much everything was unresolved.
Right?! Ended on a HUGE cliffhanger. The show was so good!
I loved Constantine and Moonlight, both ended with cliffhangers, but they almost never appear on any of these lists.
Yep I still miss moonlight
I didn't want Agent Carter to end. At least I got to hear Hayley Atwell again in Marvel's What If... series. She's an amazing actress.
THANK YOU, Pushing Daisies what awesome. I couldn't wait to watch for it every week.
I still think of it and wish that at some point it would come back on screens
I rewatch the series on VUDU all the time.
Victorious was cancelled without a proper ending
Where is My Name Is Earl? The cliff hanger and the fact that the writer only had one more season in mind, plus fans out cry.
My Name is Earl was a clever show, but its premise could only go so far. I think my brother said it best when he asked, “How long _is_ that list, anyway?“
What makes it really galling was that the creator knew the show wasn’t doing well and that there was a high likelihood of it being cancelled. So he asked the network whether he should do a finale that would wrap the series up or end the season on a cliffhanger. The network said to go with the cliffhanger, so he did, operating under the idea that he would be able to do more episodes in the future to wrap it all up.
Only for the network to immediately cancel the show after the cliffhanger aired. 😡
I do feel a little better, having heard how the creator intended for the show to end, but it’s still galling. My Name Is Earl deserved better!
Honorable mention: Torchwood (a Doctor Who spin-off by Russell T Davies)
There are some audio dramas. Most take place before "Children of Earth", but there's one that takes place afterwards. It's called "The House of the Dead" from "Torchwood: The Lost Files".
As far as I know, none of them take place after "Miracle Day".
Yessssssss!!!!!!!
Alphas and both Versions of V should be on this list..An honorable mention Flash Foward and Terra Nova.
I wish "The Wilds" never got canceled for the reason that it did. It literally introduced a mega plot twist by the end of the last episode of the second season!!
Star (2016-2019) is one of them. It ended with a crazy cliffhanger.
“Popular” ended on a cliffhanger that still has me thinking about what happened to this day
Yes!! Me too!
Yesss!!! I was so pissed about that one!!! And it's never on lists like this!!!
The one that still gets me is did everyone in New York (except Gary) die in “Alphas,” and if not, how did Gary save the day?
The way that show ended still bugs me to this day.
We still don’t know on Moesha who kidnapped Myles what Mo and Hakeem had to tell Frank and who’s pregnancy test Aaron found in the garbage in the dorm . Although we think it was Alicia especially because she had weird cravings towards the end of the show .
I keep seeing lists like this and I keep getting annoyed that "The Pretender" isn't mentioned, especially with it also ending with plenty of unanswered questions like "Will Jarod and Miss Parker hook up", "Who is Miss Parker's real father: Raines or Mr. Parker", "Will Jarod finally reunite with his Mother", "How did Jarod and Miss Parker's moms know each other","What was the prophecy in those scrolls that Mr Parker swiped before apparently jumping to his death", and "Why is the Centre REALLY after Jarod" ?
Same! And those 2 after movies just add questions
I love that show I was sad that there wasn't a resolution
I loved Pushing Diasies
I miss that show so much
@@JUSTJUAN27 me too it was really a great show and I loved the characters
This!!! It was such an interesting concept and had so much going on without being overwhelming. I still can't watch Lee Pace as Ronin in the Marvel Universe and thinking NO NED you're a good guy!!!!
@@elizdavidson as Ronan he didn't do it for me either
Same!!!!! It was sooo good. That show would have gone on for a long time if not for the strike.
Julie and the Phantoms needs more episodes because we need to know what happened after Caleb posses Nick and why Julie is able to touch the guys
Well I don't know if it follows the exact same storyline, but that show is originally a brazilian Nickelodeon series so maybe you can check that out
@@Celestuchi1 they are too different to answer those questions, for starters the ghost could be seen without julie in the original, the flynn and carlos equivalents knew they were ghosts and frequently interacted with them, specially the reggie and alex equivalents, and i don’t remember anyone possessing nico either, who btw was way more interesting than nick and i was so happy when he ended up with julie
Pushing Daisies was one of the casualties of the 2008 Writers strike unfortunately. One of the most delightful and original shows on TV.
John Doe. A mostly forgotten but great show starring Dominic Purcell (Prison Break). The last episode shows our hero chasing someone that’s been working for the supposed organization that has the answers to what’s happened to him. When he rips off the guy’s hat it turns out to be his friend Digger!
Loved John Doe. It had so much potential. Too bad it was cancelled after just one season
Anne With an E
Anne and Gilbert got their happy ever after, but what happened to Ka'Kwet? She was still imprisoned by the Catholic mission (operating on the government's behalf). There are other things fans wanted to know, too.
Yes
seems like a large chunk of these were netflix specific. does netflix not realize that if it keeps dropping shows like this w/o resolution it could make people reluctant to start any of their new shows? why the deuce would i watch a show if i think there's a 90% chance i'm gonna get the TV show equivalent of blue balls?
Interesting ponder there Stewie
How on earth did Mindhunter NOT get on this list?!
Because it didnt have a cliffhanger? And it is based on reality, so everybody who is into true crime would know.
From the "rural purge":
1) The Beverly Hillbillies-Did Jed and Granny shake themselves loose of Mr. Drysdale and return to the hills of Tennessee?
2) Green Acres-Did Oliver get tired of his wife Lisa spending his money as fast as he make it and divorce her, or did the stress of the situation kill him?
3) Petticoat Junction-Did the county ever get around to fixing the road to the hotel, therefore allowing for a major hotel chain to buy out the hotel from Kate?
4) Hogan's Heroes-The war had to end and at what cost to our POW's, who doubled as saboteurs? Did Sergeant Schultz's beloved toy factory survive Allied bombings?
5) Family Affair-Did Uncle Bill take the the twins, along with Mr. French to California when accepting a new job, so that the family could help out the Endicotts with opening a new school?
6) My Three Sons-Did the Douglass' help out the Endicotts with opening a new school?
The Glades!! Jim Longworth gets shot at his and Callie's new house on the way to their wedding? Worst ending ever with no resolution!!
What about The Glades?? The show ends with the main character (Jim Longworth) shot on the day of his wedding! Talk about unresolved cliffhangers!
@katherinep289 - Total p*ss off. I still can’t believe they did that.
In Chuck, did Sarah get her memories back with the kiss as Morgan said they would? I know Zachery Levi wants to do a Chuck movie but with the dumpster fire that WBD is, I am not betting on that.
I actually loved the Angel ending
I hate that Devious Maids, The OA, GLOW, Agent Carter and Julie & The Phantoms were cancelled.
I think about The OA at least once a week. The longing my heart suffers with is almost unbearable.
I loved Hanibal. I'm so sad we didn't know the outcome. I also loved Angel and Twin Peaks. I guess we were supposed to conclude for ourselves what happened.
There should be a law against studios that cancel a show during a cliffhanger
Pushing Daisies was one of the best, most original shows ever. It never should’ve been cancelled.
I wish I got answers for The Royals & The Lying Game. They both got canceled too soon in my opinion.
Yes! I loved The Royals!
Yes!!! The Royals made me so mad!!! I absolutely love that show!!! I think about it all the time. So many unanswered questions
Probably not any simple "questions" but just storylines/character arcs I was excited to see in Daybreak on Netflix:
-Is Angela's mom still alive
-How did Miss Crumble survive the explosion?
-Wesley and Turbo fully joining the good side
-What caused the apocalypse in the first place and why were only adults affected?
-And I NEED to see Sam ruling over the kids as their new diabolical queen ❤
Omg I totally agree! That was a huge disappointment. All those unanswered questions 😮
Dexter and Hannibal would’ve been the crossover for the ages.
Dark Angel, 4400, 1899?
"Will Alf escape"? Is the question that still bugs me to this day. But anyways, have a happy thursday morning, Phoebe. Take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well.
To me the lying game ended too soon still have lots off questions
You left off The Glades. Who shot Jim Longworth? Did he survive? Did he and Kiele get married?
How did they miss SouthLAnd! The last season something major happened to every single major character and it just ends. I need a whole episode on this show! More people need to know about his show. I miss this show soooo much
For me I’ve always wondered if Becca went back to the present or stayed in the 90s once she got in the elevator, on Hindsight. Still pissed that it was canceled and never picked up by anyone else, even though the creator had a second season all ready
On Moesha It's pretty obvious that Alicia was the one who pregnant. She kept complaining about her clothes getting tighter and she had weird cravings.
Why Did Carly and Spencer's Mom Abandoned Them this the First Place?
The Pretender. The two movies didn't resolve anything, just left us with more questions.
Im still upset that Gotham Knights got canceled i really wanted a season 2 it was my favorite tv show of last year
YES! ABSOLUTELY AGREE!
Although not officially “cancelled,” there has been no update on Tell Me Your Secrets. I want more!
Also, I wanted to see what happened in 1899. That also needed a second season.
The first time I fought for a show to come back was My So-Called Life. That ending ugh!!! Pushing Daises, Friday the 13th the Series, She-Wolf London, and Home Fires deserved proper endings. I did fight for Bomb Girls and Sense8-they actually listened to the fans and made a movie/last long episode for both of them. Although I could have watched more.
Can we PLEASE get more of an updated list? There are lots of shows that have ended recently without any explantion. Can you please upload a updated one with shows from the 2000’s +
Who were Jen and Kira’s parents in The Dark Crystal? For one, I’m assuming Brea was believed to be Kira’s mother. But due to the show’s cancellation, we’ll never find out for sure.
How could you not mention The Pretender? SO MANY unanswered questions!
I loved Teenage Bounty Hunters. Especially how the twins could communicate with out speaking. It was the coolest little plot device. And I would have totally loved more Agent Carter.
Lee Daniels Star ending upset me so much.
Also, another series i used to watch called the zoo it ended and left me with so many questions.
I hate cliffhangers!
Who doesn't?
Half and half ended on a horrible cliffhanger with so many questions. Just never got a real conclusion just a call.
Grand Hotel ended its only season on a cliffhanger making people wonder who shot the hotel's owner.
I think the the thing with the Hannibal ending is that I doesn't matter if they survived or not, the point is they went together
You forgot about Carly’s mom in the iCarly revival series
There was a cliffhanger at the end of mistresses final season regarding a character named Karen Kim. The story showed that Karen Kim was a sex therapist and was trying to keep one of her clients from jumping off a balcony, so she went after her and she ended up tripping and falling off the balcony with her. They had a funeral for Karen. But in the very last scene, some girl comes in Aprils shop saying her name was Karen Kim. Then that was it. That still gets me going when thinking about it to this day and it makes me miss the show some ngl.
Joan of Arcadia! 2003-2005, it was there and gone again. Award winning, cliff hanger ending and then nothing.
Oh yes!!! I loved that show so much!!!
Yall missed the ball by not having Star on the list. What happened to all the guests at the wedding? Who kidnapped Star’s baby? Will Star ever know that her father is dead? Come on now.
What are the odds!?!?!? We are in the middle of season 2 of Pushing Daisy's and I juts said last night "I wonder how they are going to end it since it was canceled in a rush" then this pops up 8 hours later!!!
Also Hannibal ( Mads❤) is my favorite ever!, and love Brian Fuller. Lol. So I agreed with this. Lol
Here’s a suggestion for a video. “Top 10 Checkov’s guns that never fired”, lol, for things that are set up in movies and never pay off and we don’t understand why the setup wasn’t edited out. my example is the scene in Demolition Man where he talks about his daughter and then she never appears in the movie. 😂
I also want to add the iCarly Reboot season 3 finale where Carly and Spencer’s mother finally shows up and what happened after they finally saw her at the wedding and who was she played by?
Netflix is willing to greenlight any show, though seems equally willing to cancel those shows for no reason.
Angel series continues in comics form, you guys.
how can santa Clarita diet not be on here....what happened to Joel!!!!!
Omg 😢.. I always will be sad about the potencial that have "selfie" (2014) with John Cho and Karen Gillian.. At this point in time we accept everything to resolve the final conflict, a comic, a book, even a image.. Anything.. I want them back
Ex-vampire? Angel was STILL a vampire on his show otherwise he'd have gone to be with Buffy!!
The point of his tv show was that Angel IS a souled vampire trying to attone for what he did as a soulless vampire.
Exactly
Oh wow...I forgot about this one
Raised by Wolves!!!
We will never know what was residing on that planet that was causing all that creepy stuff!!!
I NEEEEEED to know what happened in Alcatraz and The Stranded, so freaking good shows cancelled with MAJOR cliffhangers :(
The saddest one of recent years was Deadly Class' cliffhanger ending.
The Pretender's "end" was a hot mess.
American Gods!! Yeah it’s a book, but I still would’ve liked to see the tv show finish up…. Also I’m floored that y’all didn’t mention. Firefly.
Flash Forward and I Am Not Okay with This are two that I will NEVER get over
I loved FlashForward! Although I liked how full circle ending was
Julie and the Phantoms hit hard!
I kinda wish Galidor was on this list I know it wasn’t well liked but I really loved it and you could try to mention it
The one that really pissed me off was Remember WENN. Ended on a cliffhanger, then got canceled for no apparent reason. Even worse, AMC won’t release it, so it’s not even streaming! Best show ever and most people have never heard of it. 😢
How I Met Your Father deserved better :((
The Royals. What did King Robert say to Willow before the wedding that made align with him and backstab everyone else in the royal family AND what happened to Kathryn and her unborn baby?!
Exactly!!! So many unanswered questions!!! Was Robert really behind King Simon's death? I still have questions from the first season. I wish they would make a movie just to finish the story
I want to know what happened to Alf, did he escape, were the Tanner able to live their life or did the government kill them, or spend them away
My picks would be The Royals, Twisted, Forever, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, Popular, Dark Angel, and Joan of Arcadia. I was so mad about all of those cancelations!!!
Buffy also now has the audible series with spike in it so assuming they don’t all die
Pushing Daisies is a great show, very underrated, but no one mentions Kyle XY, it was a great show that was gone way too soon.
I'm still mad they didn't continue "The Royals" and "In the flesh". There were so many open questions😢
What happened to Freddie Lyons on The Hour? Not a show enough people watched, which is why it was cancelled, but I was really upset to never get resolution to that cliffhanger.
I am sad that both Freaks and Geeks, Agent Carter, and Pushing Up Daisy were canceled.
Alcatraz. Where did the prisoners disappear to? What were the keys for?
What about Netflix’s THE SOCIETY? The biggest question of them all. Where did the parents go? Who did that whole replica of their town?
That's what I came here hoping to see! They've announced they're continuing the story as a comic book awhile back tho, so hopefully that's still happening
The Get Down.
Did Queen Aleena reunite with her kids?
🎸 "Sonic Underground" (1999)
I remain sad that not many people mentioned Alphas. At least with other shows that had cliffhanger endings, you at least knew which characters were still alive! 😮
My big three are The OA, The Society and I’m Not Okay With This (thx netflix -.- )
Stargate Universe! That’s all I’m going to say.
