A lot of friends I knew growing up had Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, but I had Vice City and I loved it. I know the streets and routes in Vice City better than the city I live in right now.
GTA:VC has always been my favourite. I was a kid in the 80s, and remember Miami Vice, Magnum PI, and similar shows, which GTA:VC brings me back to. Also the in game fashion being very 80s, and as wonderful 80s music. It was my childhood wrapped up in a single game. Since just about everything is being remastered these days, it'd be good see GTA:VC remastered using modern engines, or at least a new GTA set in the era.
I was on vacation less then a month ago, and stayed the night at Miami hotel a block away from the beach after leaving Disney world, I went down Ocean Dr road, and I passed the hotel called ''Ocean Plaza" when my wife pointed out the building that inspired the first safe house from GTA Vice City , I have never pulled my phone out so quickly to take a picture before lol

I agree in the context of stand alone, what the game did right. However, it's hard for me not to say 4 was the best ever, because of the different ways it revolutionized and improved the series into a next gen juggernaut
I guess we judge games drom different perspectives, for me the most important thing is how immersive game is, how deep can i be lost in it. While 4 and 5 had AWESOME characters, story didn't catch me as much and i did not have such sense of fulfillness after finishing it. But maybe i just got older and not as easily impressed now(27).

Even though san andreas is the superior game in terms of content etc there is NOTHING that comes close to the nostalgia vice city brings to my brain. And it's the game I think of most fondly and would happily go back and play. I just WISH vice city was longer in story and content. But due to the fact it was basically an extension of gta 3 I totally understand why there wasn't as much size and scale compared to San Andreas. I adore both vice city and Sam Andreas but vice city is a HEAVYWEIGHT in my brain in terms of fond memories

Would love to see you guys cover Scarface. That game was a masterpiece. It had a built in business/owner mechanic that kept you playing months after you finished the story, while keeping it interesting. I don't know why other Mafia or MOB games dont take tips from that game, so much potential in the way scarface pulled it off.

If you actually go back to the original games, 70's is the only decade they skipped. The first game had an expansion for the 60's, Vice City was the 80's, San Adreas was the 90's, III and IV were the 00's, and V is the '10's.
That thing with the voice actor reminds me of the dispute that the guy who played Niko Bellic had with rockstar after GTA 4 was released. He wanted to get paid more too.

Resident Evil 2 was a remake, not a remaster. Remake - built from the ground up using new assets Remaster - same game, just a slight resolution increase.

Make sure to install a few mods to fix up the pc version though if you intend on playing that version. Also 30 fps is easy to get the game running at if you have at least a somewhat capable cpu.

Loved Vice City, I played it over and over and OVER. I liked the V-Rock station so much that I recorded it out of my stereo onto cassette. STILL HAVE IT TO THIS DAY!!

Wow, Vice City. Brings me back. I remember staying home from high school, I was in 12th grade and went to Best Buy, bought the game, got home then played that awesome game for hours. Stayed home the following day for the same reason. Good times.
