For my hair I used a wig (since the character has a specific style) and I sculpted the wig similar to what cosplayers do to achieve a permanent look ^^

@@burntalphabetsoup6772 you need to get multiple wigs for larger heads depending on style

I'm making a bunny fursuit and I didn't know how to do the hair because it is all purple with blue stripes. This helped a lot! Thanks! :D

I brushed out a bunch of yarn for longer hair stuff. Worked on making a mane for my critter but pretty restrictive on length.
my oc rigel (he's a birb) has a flat out wig, which i made out of yarn also! i didn't brush it to make a hair texture tho to make him look toonier.

Shocking Wolf couldn’t you raid more deserving places like some of the weird art on fur affinity or e621.net (so much fucked up art on there)? It would be much funnier tbh. Also this girls just trying to make a living lol she’s pretty friendly compared to some of the weirder members of the fandom who put it to shame :p
Shocking Wolf also, if you were to raid those places instead, it would be a lot more noticed and may even encourage them to stop making their gross fetish-y borderline illegal yiff art :D

Machine sew it, or hand sow with a ladder stitch
I would machine sew it and leave some room for your seam allowance so it's secure. If that's not possible I would use a ladder or a whip stitch. After you're done you'll have to carefully comb out the fur from the seams.
I think you mean how to sew it to the head? I want to know too

My character has very messy hair, so for my hair fluff i drew a buch of different points on my pattern for his fluff and he has the effect now. I figured this out while playing around while watching this. Thank you!

I really enjoy your videos, I love them! Your tips are really helpfull but there is something i never saw anywhere, how to sew the tuft on the head, or how to place the fur between the ears and the head like is it sew or glued? Same for the nose, how do you place the fur around it so it looks clean? And how do you place the black around the eyes and jaw like you do so it would look clean? If you could answer one or all of these questions it would be amaziiiing! I love your work, can't wait to see more!

If your fursona has a very tall Mohawk or other very crazy hair, I would recommend using foam and making it attached to the head base, then fur the head base including the hair
I have a question. My cat character has a bob- like haircut. Can I use yarn wefts to make that instead?
I'm making a partial and the hair tuft is a different colour than everything else. I either have to order a huge piece of fur for just the hair tuft but I could order some 6cm x 6cm pieces as well, right? Or won't I be able to sew the pieces together then?

Dry brushing with fabric paint can do airbrushing looks without the airbrush

Using foam for mohawks works WONDERS! Using polyfil will just make it flop over from my experiences

Im case this is still relevant, Just put a magnet on top of the foam base, under the fur and insid the long fur pocket before you stuff it lmao
Glue the magnet so it doesnt move around

I know you probably don't want to deal with dumb/common questions like this and i'm sure you have better things to do, but if you happen to see this even though this comment is a week after your latest vid.. but anyhoo, its late when i'm typing this (11pm) so i don't got much time to stick around and do much research, but I am a fan of your current suit and question if you're the one that made that, if so, do you ever do any commissions? if not, that's alright, but if you could get back to me, that would be amazing, hopefully if you comment back, youtube will send me the notification sometime.. but yeah, thank you.. also i subbed to watch some of your vids later! What if you're doing it to a dino mask how could you do that?
You could probably do the same pattern thing but you could glue it down to the plastic instead of sewing! It may have to be reglued after a while of use
I just hot glued the pieces together and used thumb-tacks to hold it together.
Does that still count??
Uh if you want it to fall apart then yes lol
My name is cool , it didn’t fall apart I used the thumbtacks to hold the fur together while the glue dries
@@axrials i think they ment the hair would fall apart quicker
than the recommended way to do this

The fur you used is the exact same color as my fur XD
I know in the video you said there was a way to have different colors in the hair. but if you want to have the colors blend really smoothly (like to make it look like they fade into each other) how would you do that. I was thinking you could airbrush it but I wanted to know for sure. Thank you for reading this!!!!
Yeah airbrushing or by rushing would probably be the way to go! I bet there are some good tutorials about making gradients of fursuits

The shape can be called a reniform, or kidney shape.
I feel bad for any fursuit maker if they ever make my main sona, her biggest character trait is having a really long curled bang that goes down to her throat, and she uses that to show her emotions since she has troubles with facial expressions, and without that bang that wouldn't be her. but ive never seen any suits that have a similar concept so im worried it cant be done
