One of the things I liked about the strap for wrapping around a chair or table leg is you can use the main compartment lock as well and not just putting it back in the original place which makes it better depending on what you are connecting the bag too. Also worth noting you can use a padlock on the main compartment locking mechanism as well for extra security never noticed you mentioning it.

Thank you for the review. Would the bottle holders fit a Hydroflask bottle wide mouth 32oz (diameter of the bottle is 9cm) please?
It would be a tight fit but don't have the bottle for testing. Hope this is (somewhat) helpful.
